Monotype Challenge

I did a quick look, and this thread looks to be gone. Rather unfortunate. Well I wanna do a quick ghost run, so I'm bringing it back up. If anyone has any objections, PM me.

Rules:
1. The challenge is over once you beat the Red
2. You may only use Pokemon of one type.
3. Dual types are allowed, and count toward a Monotype Challenge of either type. For example: if you are doing a Water Monotype Challenge, it is okay to have a Gyarados, which is part Water and part flying. If you are doing a Flying Monotype Challenge, it is also okay to have a Gyarados, because he, once again, is part water and part flying. Also, you may use a Pokemon that later evolves into a Pokemon with your type. Once again, if you are doing a Flying type run, you may use Magikarp, because it evolves into Gyarados, which is part Flying. This does not work the other way around, though. If you are doing a Normal type Challenge, and have an Eevee, you may not evolve it into a Jolteon, claiming that one of the evolutions was Normal.
4. You must catch the first Pokemon of your type before you challenge Whitney
5. You may have up to 3 HM slaves on your team.
6. No legendaries.
7. You may use an emulator, and the speed button, but don't use the emulator to cheat.
8. Multiple people may do the same type.
9. If you cannot obtain a Pokemon of your type before the requirement, you may either trade an egg from another game, trade a level 5 Pokemon or below from another game, or (if you are using an emulator) shark in a low level Pokemon of your type at the very beginning of the game. Make it reasonable, though. If you are doing a Steel type challenge, don't put in a Skarmory or Steelix or anything like that. Put in like a Magnemite.
10. No trading, unless you are evolving a Pokemon.
11. Update regularly.
12. This isn't a race. Take your time and have fun.

Right then. As soon as you sign up saying you want to participate, you will automatically be accepted, and there's no need to wait until I update this post, so you can start immediately. I usually get on once during the morning and once at night at least, but I am taking summer classes, so if I don't update then there's nothing wrong, I was just really busy. If it gets to be more than like 3 days then PM me saying "I made progress and you didn't update, because it is likely that I didn't see. I will fix it as soon as I can.

~Update~
-Named myself Nate.
-Choose a cyndaquil as a starter.
-Talk to Mr.Pokemon and take his egg.
-Beating my rival and name him Flynn.
-Caught my first bug-type pokemon:Caterpie and named him Sparta.
-Raised Sparta to evolve him into a butterfree.(It was a real pain)
-Beating the first gym leader.
-Killed everything in the sprout tower.
-Went to Azelea Town and beating the Team Rocket with Kurt.
-Killed everything in the gym and got my second badge.
-Then i went to a bug cathing contest and caught a Scyther and name it Ikaru.(YAY!!)
-Killed everything in the third Gym and got my third Badge.
-Went to Ecruteak Town(i dont know how to spell it)and beat the Kimono girls and get the HM Surf.
-And right now im in the ghost-type gym.

And welcome Haxeray. I'm pretty sure you can catch a Mareep south of Violet City. Pretty sure that's the only Electric type for a while (probably Chinchou or something).

yeah, i'm pretty sure there aren't any ice pokemon at the beginning of the game. the closest i know of is someone in the ice path or lapras on fridays when you have surf in the union cave basement. and welcome to the challenge. that too.

I went to Violet city and trained my Linox to level 13
and completely ownt Falkner and voila!

Got myself this nifty little thing called the [ZEPHYR BADGE]

Then i trudged onwards feeling like a bad a** and beat those stupid rockets like a boss. That level Linox to 17! oh yeahhh BOOM!

This took like an hour so i was all steamed up saying to myself "aw ye, aw ye!" Whitney here i come you weakling!!

Fighting all those trainers to golden rod and from golden rod and the wild pokemon, Linox was level 25!

I was pumped ready to kill that clefable and milktank. I went in being pro and stuff and pewpew'd that clefable. then WAAAPAAAAAA Milktank squashed me. I nearly cried, had a tear in my left eye. I said " aw right aw right, time to train this gangsta Linox-seel thing. This was around 20 mins getting it to level 34!! can you believe it 34 :(
At this moment i had myself an awesome Dewgon! OH YEAH DEWGON
I showed that little girl, even made her cry :p One hit all her poke's :D

I quickly walked out then in and BAAAAMMMM

I was like aw yeah 4th gym already!? this is a breeze mann. Walked into that burnt tower and killed Boohooo then went in there with my level 36 Dewgon! One hit errrrthang! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Whats that Morty? You wanted to give me something OH THANKS!

Walked through those routes like a freakin' pro and went to the ss. anne entrance thing to fish me up a nice little pokemawnz called Shellder! woot woot i named the little slugger Nerlian and trained him to level 33 and used that water stone to get my a cloyster baby!
Walked up to that lighthouse and played docter and swam to that one town to get the medicine. While i was there, i decided to show the gym leader who's boss. My Nerlian was a OG and beat him fair'n'square.

Chuck's wife was rofl'ing at her husbands defeat calling him fat, chuck hung his head in shame and gave me?!?!?!?!?!!!!!

Went back to Olivine to show Jasmine who was the non-npc 'round here so i restored her amphrados and went to her gym, her magnemite's were a doozy but no challenge for Linox, then when she brought out that steelix, it was Nerlian's time to play, Aurora beam one hit that fool and Tada! Jasmine was all "uhmm..." Why you st-st-st-stutterin' girl?

I was sky high off my ownage so i raced to Mahogany town, just to catch me a nice hm slave called gyrados! and helpped Lance with all that rocket hullabaloo and went to face good ol' Pryce This fight was interesting considering we had the same type, it mainly consisted of non-stop "isn't very effective" but we got through and mannnnnn, got that bling :>

Got that call yada yada, and went to the ice cave! my paradise :) caught me 3 new additions A Jynx! A Swinub! and a Delibird! And i got straight to leveling these kiddies for hours

Leveled all of these kiddies to around the same level as my Linox and went to kill those rockets at that radio tower :) gaiend some levels there too then returned to blackthorn to beat that silly dragon trainer haha. She wouldn't give me the darn badge >:[ so i went to that cavern and retrieved it BAM 8th badge ladies and gents :]

I Challenged Red and was Stompped down by Charizard and Snorlax not completely but they slowed me down. They sent me into a revive/Hyper Potion spam mode but i passed through them slowly. BUT I DID BEAT HIM :D

Hey guys here a little update.

Badges:7
I went to the ghost-type gym and i earned this:

Then i went to a bug paradise contest and i caught a Venonat and name it Kyo.The i caught a spinarak and name it Kyra.

Raising Kyo and Kyra on road to the lighthouse and to Cinawood city.

In the gym it was peace of cake thanks to Sparta with sleep powder/confusion and earned this:

Then i talked to the lady with Fly HM,but i dont have flying pokemon so i had to make my way back with surf...

Raising my Team and Kyra and Kyo envolve.

So this gym was a pain! Nothing was effective on her steel-type so i used Sparta with sleep powder them Kyra with night shade after 3 try i made it and earn:

Then Lake of rage..i caught the red gayrados as a Hm slave..
Helped Lance to killed everthing in the Team Rocket secret base.

Then i went to the ice-type gym and beat Price and earned this:

I went to a other bug paradise contest and i caught a beedrill and name him Rocky.

Okay, this is like the fifth time I've tried to start this. Here goes

Opening stuff blah blah name:A, starter:Totodile, rival: ???
In the Sprout tower, I caught two gastlys (Alpha and Omega)
Needed help from Totodile to beat the gym, as they have no moves that can kill Normal types yet. He was still easy with Rage.
Got to Azalea, and Beat the second gym and rival
Got to Goldenrod and the route above, where Alpha finally evolved into a Haunter (and a Gengar as he was very shortly traded). Woohoo, now I just need to buy Ice Punch or something so I can do damage to Normal types. Don't know what level Omega is, but he's going to need to be a Gengar before Morty.
