Need a Wifi team

_{Alright so hi there! I'm new to competitive battling since I've really only been a breeder till now. I really have this one issue that comes from, I'm not the type who constructs great battling teams. After battling with my friend [and losing lol] I realized that it seemed pretty fun, however I have no idea how to make a good team for it. I think O want to use Gyarados as my mega evolution, however I'm not too sure just yet. Please help!}

Mega Gyarados is one of the more interesting Mega Pokemon out there, IMO. It can hold off Mega Evolution until the right moment by using its regular form to take out counters to its Mega form:
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-Earthquake
-Bite/Stone Edge/Substitute
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 32 HP/252 Atk/224 Spe
Item: Gyaradosite
Ability: Intimidate

Since regular Gyarados is weak to Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin or Defog support is appreciated:
