I only have pokemon y and am in need of Salamancite. I have been informed that their is a chance this will not work but I willing to risk it
Will trade rotom, latios, phione and other legandaries or pokemon for it

100% certain you cannot trade a Salamencite to Pokemon Y.

no. you can't transfer it to pokemon Y since it's introduced on ORAS, not in XY.
