Do you know if it will work on unlocking the flower in Platinum for Shaymins sky form?

AR has worked in pearl for the event pokemon as New Zealand never gets events and i'm pedantic and wanted a complete pokedex so I don't trade them unless people do really want those ones (my english shaymin, darkrai & arceus) I don't see why it wouldn't work for platinum.
tbh I didn't even realise platinum was out so i'm off to buy it haha :)
