Yep. I'm using a free account...

What do you mean by what type of host?

Edit: I found out what was wrong. The only problem now is that it doesn't show up on the Home page.

The place where the news should appear says:
[an error occurred while processing this directive]

That's only thing tht's wrong right now...

I think I'm alright with SmartFTP currently. I just can't get the news onto my site...

You have to use php include to get it the news to appear on your site. There should be a documantation that comes with it. O.o

If you are trying to use PHP or MYSQL, or any kind of news program on Freewebs, it won't work. They don't support PHP. ;P

You should'nt really use SSI, PHP Include might work. (Though both includes are the same)
It all depends on how your news program wants it to be.

It means either the file is trying to read from the wrong place, or you didn't upload the files correctly.

I just tried PHP and it ended up saying:
Warning: main(f_news.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/smashpal/public_html/index2.php on line 195

Warning: main(f_news.txt): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/smashpal/public_html/index2.php on line 195

Warning: main(): Failed opening 'f_news.txt' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/smashpal/public_html/index2.php on line 195

Maybe I should clear some stuff out.
    - I named my directory "f_news".
    - I'm confused what to change in <?php include "news/news.txt";?> for PHP.

So could someone tell me what to put where my news appears?
