I was just wondering how people come up with there nicknames for there pokemon. Are they original? Or are they just they're names mixxed up? I've seen very unoriginal names like Zard, the Charizard. Mine are usually wierd. Some of mine are:

    AeroBlazer, the Charizard
    Lord Draco, the Dragonite
    Mezzoiclaw, the Kabutops
    Frozonexar, the Glaceon
    Vandigraph, the Raichu
and Geklo Jr., the Sceptile. (bred from my friends Sceotile, Geklo, so Geklo Jr.)

    Spike the Toxicroak
    Spice the Meganium
    Scramble the Exeggutor
    Edge the Sceptile
    Nightmare the Dusknoir
    KillaWatt the Luxray

Therefore, my nicknames come from characteristics the Pokémon have.

Those names sound good for the pokemon you chose them for. I usually go for something that sounds cool but you can maybe guess what pokemon it is or at least what type.

Eh? Sometimes I name them, most of the time I can't find something creative to name them. Even the ones I do name are kinda boring. ;; Anyway, I named my Blissey via Shoddy Battle "Metang@!" because of a rather interesting and funny thread on Smogon. :D

IF you go calling your pokemon backwards, the only one I like so far is S(s)orgatem for Metagross. And I haven't got a Metagross yet. :3

I nickname mostly all my Smeargle following the four move completion.
I also have a Lucario named "Ravioli". So random choices for me, likely to be mostly.

My Wobbuffett is called something naughty. I'd probably get banned for saying.

It depends. Sometimes I give a Pokémon a Finnish name (eg. Ukkosen, Kita, Kalma) or an Indian name (eg. Kavita, Ruhini) 'cause most other people don't use those two languages much =P
But sometimes I just give them a random name.

My nicknames are either incredibly random or are distantly related to the Pokémon in question in some shape or form.

The only notable ones I can think of now are the following:

    • Shiver, my Lugia in my Silver version.
    • Xion, my Mew in my Blue version.
    • Petroc, my Geodude in Crystal.

I don't nickname them at all, but if anything, i would nickname it after a strong pokemon.
so people on wi-fi would be like "WTF? How did he get Arceus? that n00b!" And then just out of nowhere a weedle named arceus comes out.
i'd do that just to grind their gears.
Its called the "Fear tactic" or "annoyance tactic".

Ah, never mind, it doesn't work that way.

    Voltorb- Acid (after battery acid)
Pidgy- Teddy (after Theodore Roosevelt the most boss president)
Psychduck- Hoff (after the actor which is really a codename for this guy I don't like)
    Oddish- Little Stinke
    Beedrill- Block
    Hitmonlee- Charmander

I name them after random things they remind me of or characters/people I dislike/like.

I wasn't able to vote accurately because the option for my nn doesn't exist!

I name all of mine after Comic Book characters based on type/shape/stats/ability/appearance! For instance my Relicanth is nn Jugernaut, & my male Mismagius is nn Dr.Strange!

    See it's cool! :D
