Things are tough right now, there's a lot of negativity in my life at the moment and I feel no shame in admitting that I'm not very happy with the way things are. Despite this though, I feel like there are at least a few positives on the horizon to look forward too.
University is horrible, the staff in my course have a tendency towards inferiority, the units and assignments are put together extremely shoddily and it feels like half of the lecturers educating me have never taught in a primary school classroom in their lives. However, I will keep working through all this adversity in one way or another and in the years to come I will achieve my goal of becoming a qualified teacher.
My bosses have made getting my school dance education programme out a living hell. However, I am in a position now where I am allowed to begin distributing it to schools. It's not the best situation and I am very aware that I am undervalued and that my bosses would like to cut out the co-creator. However, if we are the ones controlling where the programme is distributed to, there is a chance we will be able to get this happening and finally make some real money off of teaching dance. My theory lessons are also going quite well and I should have my next level of qualification before the end of the year. On the other side of dancing, my first competition for the year is coming up as is my first medal exam. I'm really excited about both as I'm hoping to make some good impressions.
I also have some interesting things coming up on the horizon as far as PC goes. First on that list however will be a new category that I will be implementing shortly. I have decided against totally ripping Matt off since he has decided he won't be leaving PC entirely and I refuse to just be a clone of another blog, however I am not ashamed to admit that my blogging has been inspired a lot by the Daily Bloggity and I love the idea of competitions and interactive blogging. So with that being said I will soon be starting my new section called The Bake Off.
Life is a strange thing, even in our darkest times we can find a few positives to hold onto. I'm not in the best of places and it will be a long time before I come to terms with everything but there's always a little light on the horizon and I'm going to throw myself at it.
