I'm hoping with this 'hiatus' of theirs that the fans will stop trending ****. It'll definitely be a nice one year vacation without hearing '1D this' or '1D that' every other day, at least I HOPE we'll get a vacation from it. I'm in the same boat as you. I am so tired of hearing about One Direction, and I've been tired of hearing about them for the past four years. None of them are talented, especially not by themselves, and they've all got atrocious personalities.
