Have you ever wondered why certain things happen? Like that wound on your arm that cannot be explained? As you try to recall, you just cannot remember the reason you got the injury. Why would you have it? It's not as if you have been near a dagger or something. And what about that rash on your waist? Sure, it is easy to ignore it, but why let it happen again? The worrying part is, you do not know why there is a rash in the first place. What if the same reason hurts you again, in a more serious way? You can sneeze on it, but do you want to take the risk? Besides, a sneeze with no known origin can have the same reason.

Have you ever lost something and never found it again? You retrace your steps, look high and low, ask everyone, but the something seems to be spirited away, never to be seen again. You know deep in your heart that it still exists somewhere, where you can find it, but... Why do you get this feeling although you know it is lost and "gone for good"? Is it because we simply believed that... Things cannot just appear and disappear without reason?

Well, I have discovered a hidden dimension deeply connected to the human psyche that may have the answers to these mysteries. I would call it the Mirror World because this is where one's self is revealed. This world is not entirely safe. There are various monsters called "Shadows" that lives there. Shadows are said to be born when people had negative emotions but choose to keep them in their hearts instead of letting them go. Since all human minds think differently, it would be logical to say that no two Shadows are the same. Shadows have varying strength and size too, and probably certain Shadows inhabit specific spots in this world. Shadows fight any intruders in the Mirror World.

I have also discovered ways to enter this dimension. One has to stare hard into a mirror, and hence, the name I gave it. Another way is via dreams. There's no saying that there are more ways. They just remain unknown for the time being. However, only selected people possess the qualities to enter the Mirror World without aid, and fortunately too, because to survive in this world, one needs to overcome its demanding environment. As such, a person's soul prefers to enter the dimension alone, stripped of its subconscious mind which takes care of the vital functions of its body back in the real world, to lighten its burden. But then, if one enters the world in a certain way, it is possible to bring his or her entire existence into this dimension.

So, if one were to ever stumble into this world, what hope does he or she has to survive on? The answer is... his or her self. A person's self is the being that protects its owner. A "Persona". Personae, like Shadows, are the results of the human soul, but they are based on the owner's positive qualities, his talents, her passions, and so fourth. Likewise, everyone's Persona is different in size, strength and appearance, and I believe it's possible for a few, very finely chosen people to possess many Personae. However, most, if not all, Persona users have the chance to switch, renew, improve, evolve, or whatever the process could be called, their Personae into more powerful ones. Of course, that depends on its user too.

But then, one does not automatically become a Persona user merely by crossing over to the other dimension. No, one must earn it. As far as I know, there is only two ways to earn it, one is by signing a particular contract, and the other is to face one's self truthfully. A Persona can be summoned in various ways too, for many reasons. Specialised Personae can detect people, fight Shadows physically, heal the injured, increase the chances of fleeing from enemies, cast powerful spells, and perhaps more that I know nothing of, but usually not all at the same time. A Persona is important, no, essential for survival in the Mirror World. I would guess that it is the equivalent of the subconscious mind for the consciousness in the Mirror World.

The potential of this world is huge when it comes to providing solutions to mysteries in the real world. The unexplained wounds could be created by a Shadow as when it separates from the creator's fully occupied heart to make way for other emotions, it desperately tries to cling on with no avail and scratched the person. As for the missing items, they appeared in this world with no apparent reason or obvious way. Maybe their owners had such a deep emotional attachment to them that they just appeared? More in-depth investigation is needed for the time being as not a lot is really known in this world. Some teenagers are frequent explorers of the Mirror World. It is not surprising, really, since their age groups are often the ones that have a deep desire to discover themselves. If their will for self-discovery is strong enough, no doubt they will gain entry. After all, this world is all about the human psyche. Human will is the ticket.

If my deductions are right, the mysterious comas in the real world have something to do with this world. Yes, I believe the deaths that follow the comas are direct results of the death of their souls in this world, and therefore, their physical body dies as well. Perhaps a body can survive only that long without a conscious mind. So many questions, so few answers. I need to keep in touch with these teenage Personae users. They may have information that I do not know. Like how to get out of this world.

    X-735Y3R

The comas and the related deaths are not the only deaths that are linked to the other world. For now, it will be the Mirror World-related deaths that we will be involved in.

The comas and the deaths are still going on. All the facts in the note are true. But when is it written? Who does the codename X-735Y3R belong to? All that is known about this note is the place it was found: in the other dimension.

You are a student in a private high school in a modern city. You do not know about this other world. Until something happens and changes your life and those who once shared your fate... For better or worse? How you use your new found Persona is entirely up to you. You could help prevent the demise of those in coma, or you could accelerate their doom. You could try to find the cause(s) for the comas, or you could BE one of the causes. The power is yours, use it wisely.

    The mandatory SU sheet

    Name: First and last.
Age: Anywhere within the range of 14 to 17
Gender: Male or female. Sorry, no third genders.
Weapon of choice: Bows and arrows? Axes? Guns? Swords? Or just a good old fashioned rod to beat the crap out of a Shadow? Whatever it is, your character will not be walking around in the real world with a weapon.
Appearance: This is split into two parts. Part one describes the character in the real world. Part two describes how the character looks like in the Mirror World. Think of the Mirror World like the cyber world. Although you choose the image to upload as your profile picture, you don't look like your profile image, do you? Describe your character's permanent characteristics, like eye colour, height, complexion and so on. At least five sentences for each part.
Personality: At least ten sentences of good size.
History: At least ten sentences too.

Persona (RPers don't have to use a Persona from the game. Even if you want to, yes, you can change its elemental properties, skills and such to the extent that the only similarity is the name. Think of the Persona as an imaginary friend. An imaginary friend doesn't have to be related to legends and folklore, or be the hero even if it is. If a person likes baking, his or her persona can be something that seems to be wearing a baker's tall, puffy, white hat and resembles an oven. There's no wrong to how a Persona looks, so long as it looks right to the user.)
    Name:
    Appearance: Five sentences, at least.
Trivia: This is optional because it is flavour text. You can invent a folklore involving the Persona, what its special abilities are, or maybe its personality if it has a separate will from its user. Anything you see fit.
Elemental properties (Pick between neutral, strong and weak for the following elements. The number of elemental strengths cannot be more than the number of weaknesses. No, you cannot be neutral to everything, and the maximum number of elemental strengths is two. You can change the elemental properties, albeit later in the RP.)
    Physical:
    Fire:
    Ice:
    Electric:
    Wind:
    Light:
    Dark:

Statistics (Pick between poor, below average, average, above average, and excellent. The number of excellent stats cannot be more than the number of poor stats. Same goes for above average and below average respectively. No, you cannot have completely average stats. The stats are permanent, choose wisely.)
HP: Determines how much pain the user can take before he or she goes down. It is also a cost for using a Persona's physical skills.
SP: It costs a number of SP for one to summon a Persona other than to use physical skills. The cost is affected by what the Persona is summoned to do.
Strength: Determines the damage output of physical moves, including weapon attacks
Endurance: Determines how much physical pain the user feels. The higher the endurance, the less pain is felt.
Magic: Determines the damage output of magical skills.
Agility: Determines who will dish out the first blow.
Luck: Affects hit ratio, slightly affects evasion.
(Optimally, pick one each of excellent and poor, an equal number of above and below average, then the rest is average. Note that the HP and SP value is dependent on the owner, not the Persona.)

Skills: What type of skills does the Persona learn? Healing? Physical? Ally support? Enemy annoyers? Offensive elemental magic? If you pick three, give one each of weak, moderate and strong. If you pick two, go with one moderate and one strong. If you pick only one, it will be a very strong one. Example: Moderate healing skills, strong physical skills.

Signature Skill: This is it! It is a skill which only this Persona can learn. Give the name and effect, including the element* it can be associated with, as well as how early the Persona learns it. Don't overdo it, though.

*Note that it is "element", not "elements".

    Let the fun begin.

    IC:

    5th January, Sunday

Seraphine woke up at six in the morning like usual. She was enrolled for a year now, so she is familiar with the boarding school, but Seraphine still felt like the new kid in the block. Mainly because she never really had a true friend anywhere to share her troubles and secrets. Everyone wants her knowledge and ideas when it comes to solving problems, but nobody wants to help her.

That did not mean she has no moral support. Every week, without fail, there would be mail delivered to her. Seraphine always choose to open the letter one day later so that she can have two happy days. Today was the day to open the latest one.

    "Happy New Year!
Good Luck with the new school year.
Take good care of yourself. We love you."

She knew the New Year Card were from her parents. Seraphine always believed the shortness of their letters was due to their hectic lives, and that they choose to hand-write them so that she could tape it up on the wall. Where she could look at whenever she feels down. They reminded her that there are people who worked hard so that she could attend school. Not many can afford to enroll into her school, a private boarding school, and stay there as well. There is a reason why the dormitories are never more than half filled.

Orientation Day is tonight, at seven o' clock. Seraphine thought to herself. There is plenty of free time till then. Although only newcomers have to attend, everyone is encouraged to, just so that newcomers can make some friends even before day one. There will be a big party, to lighten the mood, to release tension, to calm the newcomers, basically. Seraphine planned to go for it, with the main reason being "no need to buy dinner".

Seraphine dressed herself and went to look for breakfast

OOC: It's a little short, but let's do our best to maintain the quality of our posts

My eyes fluttered open as the sun shined through the windows onto my face. I had knew what today was and in fact was dreading it. Today was the day before orientation and i knew my older cousin Brenda was going to over exaggerate the event.

About 25 minutes later. I had decided to finally get up out of bed, as i rose up out of bed my cousin bursted through the door. I turned in looked at her only to be a little lusted by her. She came in wearing purple lingerie.

My eyes wide and my nose flared up " Nnnghhh Wh... what have i told you about that!!. Brenda Get out....... god. "my red with bashfulness. I ended up messing up my bed in the uproar of the event

She stood there in the doorway " Why do you always act like that Lucas, You get so shy and uncomfortable around girls " She shrugged her shoulders " Oh...well OK i'll just go wake up Mattie " she up and left after that.

After fixing my bed back up and preparing for the day, I decided to walk my little sister to the park. It was a pretty good looking day, the sun was out and there was a gentle breeze blowing.

She held my hand skipping down the sidewalk as we headed towards to the park. " brother, can we get some ice cream after the park " She smiled as she looked up at me waiting for an answer.

I tried to not look at her face, but for a slight moment i slip an looked down at her angelic smile. " Hmmm... I not sure Mattie, let me check my wallet " I dug in my back pocket for my wallet " huh..... " i patted all my pockets down looking for my wallet, but couldn't find it . I put on a smile and looked down at Mattie " Seems like i forgot my wallets at the house.....ha ha"

Mattie puffed out her face " Brother you're always forgetting something....Its not safe to keep leaving your stuff at the house with cousin Brenda.... you know that don't you "

I smiled back" I know Mattie, I'm really sorry, it won't happen again " After that the walk was pretty much quite. She played at the park, most of the time with me.

Around 8:00pm we decided we would walk home, more like she decided. She skipped beside me more happier then when she was going to the park. " Brother I'm so excited about school,You know it tomorrow right " I walked beside and nodded my head yes. She let go of my hand in skipped in my path " I'm so happy " She stop skipping and stared at my face " Brother why are you looking all mopey for "

I could feel my emotions beginning to swell up with hurt and pain. my face dim down to my usual expressionless portrait " Mattie...I'm not mopey " I begin to walk again, leaving her behind me.

She quickly caught up with me and walk along side quietly. When we arrived home with each went our separate way to prepare for bed, after we ate of course. As i got out the shower and prepared for bed. I walked into her doorway " Mattie....I'm really sorry ok....I'm not mad really iam not. All i can say is have fun at school tomorrow " I walked out in went to bed after that.I didn't hear anything so i guess she was sleep

I layed in bed for like an hour thinking about a way to not go to school tomorrow, i came up with nothing " I'll just have to go,I don't really have a choice... hope it isn't as preppy as it sounds.........orientations hmmm" I was almost sleep when a thought came to my head " Brenda didn't blow anything out of Proportion today I'm impress " soon after that i drifted off to sleep

Arle was still asleep as the clock had struck eleven, the warm sunlight shining on her face as she began to slowly open her eyes. "Oh man...its Eleven o' clock already? I shouldnt have slept so late I guess." She muttered climbing out of her bed as she walked out of her room to the bathroom. After taking a hot shower she grabbed her robe pulling it on, gazing into the mirror with a sigh. "What shall I do today? The last day before school starts, I should enjoy myself for this day." She said brushing her hair. She then walked back to her room, opening her closet. She picked out her clothes and pulled them on. Walking towards the living room she cringed as she could not believe what she saw. "..Oh Arle, good to see your awake...hehehe.." Cecil said as her face turned bright red, her arms wrapped around another man of whom Arle did not recognize. "...Cecil who is this?" Asked Arle with a look of disgust on her face. "My name is Alex" Said the man looking at Arle cooly. "I'm Cecil's boyfriend." He said with a grin appearing on his face. Arle shook her head and sighed. "Sis..you never give up do you?" She said grabbing a muffin and a cup of tea. She then walked outside and sat on the front porch.

"What is wrong with her, only 2 days ago she was with that...Sam or whatever his name was." Arle thought taking a bite out of her muffin. She suddenly stopped chewing to spit out the chunk of muffin that had been in her mouth. "GROSS! This tastes awful!" she yelled quickly taking a large gulp of her tea to wash away the foul taste. She quickly drank all her tea and ambled inside the house towards the garbage can in the kitchen to trash her muffin. "I'm gonna be out places for a while, call me if you need me." She yelled as she walked out of the house grabbing her handbag off the counter as she went along. Cecil seemed to pay no attention though as she was too busy smooching with Alex. Arle was walking along the busy streets, gazing into the windows of the stores she was passing by. She passed by a bridal dress shop, looking into the window a beautiful wedding dress caught her eye. She stared at it for a moment, examining the beautiful laces and ribbon around the dress. She couldnt take her eyes off of it. "Wow...I'd love to wear that one day." She said with a deep sigh as she walked away from the store. As the hours passed she looked at her watch and saw the time. She then looked at the sky to see it was starting to get darker as the sun was setting. "Well..time to go home I guess." She said walking back home. Once she had arrived she noticed that Cecil's car was nowhere to be seen meaning she was not home. Arle sat down on the couch, as she grabbed the remote and pressed the power button to turn on the TV. "At this rate school starting would bring up some more excitment, what a drag of a day." She muttered.

Only a single limb was visible amongst the mass of blankets piled upon the bed; a protruding leg that dangled over the edge of the mattress. What little there was of the wintry morning light struggled to illuminate the room, which appeared to have been ransacked by a gang of avaricious thieves despite the occupant only having been back from his Christmas vacation for a day or two.

Eventually Callix's eyes fluttered open, hazily staring at the ceiling before his pupils focused and the sluggish sensation of fatigue dissipated. Reminiscent of a zombie, he dragged himself from the warmth of his covers wearing nothing but his boxer shorts and lurched over to his en suite in order to splash water on his face. His doppelganger staring back at him from the confines of the mirror reflected tufts of strawberry blonde hair sprouting from his scalp in a variety of angles and a pair of tired eyes- however, both pieces of information failed to register within the male's mind.

After somehow managing to dress himself and still remain oblivious to the rest of the world, Cal moved mechanically from his room to the vending machine at the end of the hall- a privilege of being one of the older students. He inserted a coin and the device proceeded to spew out a bag of salt and vinegar flavoured snacks; his essential morning coffee would have to wait until he reached the main food hall.

"Mornin' Cal," another final year student greeted him, patting the boy's shoulder. "How was your Christmas? Happy New Year, by the way."

"Mm..." Callix grunted in response, tearing his bag open and stuffing a handful of potato sticks into his mouth without bothering to look at his dorm mate. After devouring the entire contents of the bag, he scrunched it up and tossed nonchalantly it into the nearby receptacle.

"It was okay, I guess," he mumbled, stretching. "My mother practically stalked me the whole time, coulda been worse. How about you?"

They exchanged anecdotes pertaining to their Christmas holidays on their journey to the school's cafeteria, Callix observing that only a few students had returned pre-orientation- none of whom happened to be from his close circle of friends.

"Ah... It's been too long my friend," he sighed into a steaming hot cup of coffee, allowing the fumes to caress his cheeks as he awaited the liquid to cool. Upon draining the contents of the plastic container, he grinned goofily to himself and glanced to the large clock affixed to one of the walls.

"Hmmm, wonder if I've got enough time to hijack the music room before they set everything up at seven," he mumbled to no-one in particular. All but leaping to his feet, the male sauntered through the dining hall.

Remember to start a new paragraph when someone talks.

Follow my lead on the uniform.

    IC:

    5th January

Seraphine went into the city. It was a particular large one, where people can easily get lost and the skyscrapers made shade. The special thing about these skyscrapers were the greenery on the top to reduce of the city's carbon footprints. They were not fake trees. On her neck was a yellow ascot. Many shops in the city recgonised the ascot as part of the private school's uniform, and most were willing to provide discount for students, which was the sole reason Seraphine brought hers.

Aloong the way, she made a mental list of her favourite restaurants. Seraphine somehow randomly chose one, or she just walked into the first one that she saw on the list: The Rice Bowl, a place where their specialty was obviously rice dishes.

    "The usual?" asked a waiter.

"Yes." Seraphine took a a seat. She was rarely adventurous on food. Every waiter in the restaurant knew that nine out of ten times she would want fried rice and plain water. Seraphine glanced around. She was not likely to see schoolmates, but if she did, she would most probably recgonise them due to the low number. Already she was wondering where to spend the rest of the day. Library? Bookstore? Video store? Pharmacy? Or try something new?

    -------------------------

About half past five, Seraphine went back to the campus to get ready for the Orientation. Everyone, except newcomers, were required to wear their uniform. The newcomers were encourage to do so as well, but it was not compulsory. Seraphine buttoned on a white collared shirt with a pocket on the left. This was the common ground for every student. Both male and female of all ages wear the same design. Then she put on a dark blue knee-length skirt, the same and standard with every girl in the school, which she hated very much. The yellow ascot was not so bad; she liked the feel of it on her neck just underneath the collar, and it made her feel distinguished from most of the student body. The ascot switched colour every year, to make it easier to tell who was in the school for how many years. It was yellow last year, her year, and Seraphine wondered what the colour of the current year was. Next, she wore navy socks with black shoes. Lastly, Seraphine threw on a black blazer and she was off after locking her room. She did wonder sometimes why they were forced to wear especially boring uniform. The dissimilarity between a guy's uniform from a girl's was dark green trousers.

It was only six, but the school compound had new students, set apart with the absence of an ascot or presence of casual clothes. Some student clubs had set up booths to get new members. Seraphine noticed someone rather large approaching her. Who was she kidding? Everyone was rather large to her, because she was rather small to everyone else.

"Excuse me, do you know the way to the hall?" said the someone.

Seraphine was amazed that a stranger chose to trust her, acknowledge her as a senior, even though she was particularly short. She decide to go for the extra mile for the stranger instead of just giving directions.

"Follow me." Seraphine walked towards to the hall.

Today was the day of my new school's orientation and as usual I was dreading it. My sister on the other hand was jumping in excitement, it truly put a smile on my face see her smiling and showing so much happiness.

"Brother....Brother..........Today's the day "Mattie came rushing around the corner, and skipped into the room " Today's our Orientation "

I grabbed her head and twisted along with her body towards my door " I know....Mattie. I'm not really interested into school " Mattie pouted as I tightened my grip on her head " Now leave Mattie, I have to get dress for the Orientation " Mattie looked at me with dull eyes as I shoved her gently out my room. " Brenda!!!.....could you please bring me my uniform " I hadn't seen the uniform yet but I was sure it was going to be disgusting, in fact if it wasn't for Brenda I wouldn't be wearing it.

Brenda walked in dressed quite elegantly for once "Here..." She came in holding a clothes hanger, with the unusual looking uniform wrapped in plastic.

My eyes widen in shock "ummm...thanks Brenda, so where are you going "I took the hanger and unwrapped the uniform.

"I' m going to orientation with Mattie so, we'll be seeing you later tonight "just as she said that Mattie came up beside her and a pretty dull uniform.

"How do I look brother "Mattie looked up at me

"You look great sis....now go have fun "After they left I took a shower and had decided to get freshen up. I look at the uniform and had decided to put the white collar shirt on first " Ummm...this is so uncomfortable but if I don't wear it Brenda would kill me hahaha" I slip on the dark green trousers and afterward put on the unbutton black blazer.

I walked to the school with my hand in my pocket the whole way, the other hand swinging beside me as the wind wished it to. "I really hope this school is better than the last one I attended "When I entered the school I saw many students, some was wearing the uniform others wasn't and i was starting to wish i was apart of the crowd that wasn't.
"Ughhhh.....This is crazy,..... So where I'm I.. suppose to go" I stood in the giant hallway lost and confused.

Arle glared at her uniform, she kept glaring until many minutes had passed by. She glared at the uniform for a while more until she finally said.

"So this is the uniform I have to wear? But...it really wouldnt suit me.."

"Oh hush you'd look fine." Said Cecil walking into Arle's room. "Maybe if you put just a little bit more make-up you'd look prettier, some nice blush or eye shadow, you definantly dont need foundation you have perfect skin..." Said Cecil thinking to herself "God if only I had that too.."

Arle sighed then started to put on her uniform. First buttoning up her collarshirt, then slipping on her skirt, and finally putting on her blazer. She then walked out towards the door and slipped on her shoes.

"I'll be off to the orientation, maybe after it I'll go out somewhere to relax or something.." Said Arle as Cecil began to approach her.

"Well you have fun, I'm going to be setting up a date with Alex, its gonna be great!" Said Cecil giddily.

Arle shook her head then left the house. On her way to the orientation she saw a few other students in small little groups on their way as well. She noticed how they were very excited for the start of a new year. Arle then began to start thinking to herself.

"Hmm..must be nice to go to school with a group of friends like that, and to be that excited for school..thats amazing." She said as she finally reached the school. Arle took a deep breath before opening the door. Closing her eyes for a moment, she then opened them, a look of confidence on her face. She swung open the door and gazed around her in amazement. She looked around the giant hallway with a blank look of confusion on her face.

"Umm...where do I go now? This is kinda..ehh..I just dont know where to go now." She said looking to her left, she noticed another boy who also seemed lost.

"Looks like hes lost too, but he doesnt seem to really want to be here..I wonder if he could help me find out where to go." She wondered as she kept looking at him from the corner of her eye.

Morning. Haruka slowly opened his eyes as the curtains allowed warm sunlights to enter at the bedroom. He kept staring at the ceiling, lying down the bed, as if gathering energy to stand up. It didn't take too long, though. His family - his mother and father, specifically - entered the room with an abnormal enthusiasm.

    - Stand up, honey, today is your first day at school!
    - And, guess what? We already bought your uniform! Isn't that great?

Haruka stayed silent. To anyone, he would look ill or weak, but he's just..apathetic. Rubbed his eyes with no will, and sitted at the bed's egde, looking to his parents, who had an annoying happiness expression. And then...finally said something, for their sakes.

    - Ahn...ohayou?
    - Is that all?? - his father readily replied - Get yourself ready, we're gonna ride you to your first day at school!

They left. Haruka shaked and scratched his head, still unaware about the reason his parents were so excited about it. More than him, to be honest. "Well, no use wondering about that.", he concluded as going over his uniform. A white collared shirt and dark green trousers? "The shirt is very common, thank God, but there's no way I'm gonna wear this...trousers!" But this idea wouldn't last for too long, a thought about everyone wearing the default uniform and only him highlighted by any different cloth delegated him to follow the rules: definitely, he don't want to attract attention at his first day at school.

    - Haru-chaaaan*, get ready! Your breakfast is gonna get cooold! - his mother yelled from the kitchen, more like a moody singing tone than a angry reprimand.

    [...]

    - Sayonara, Haru-chan, we're so proud of you! - his father said, very heartwarming - Make sure you make new friends today! The friends you make at school will remain forever! Oh God, I miss my high school times so much!
    - Geez...I knooow! - his eyes rolled with disapproval, finding all this situation somewhat ridiculous and embarassing.
    - We'll catch you up when eveything is over. Give us a call, okay?
    - Hai, mother...sayonara. - he got out of the car, looking to the huge campus of his new school, amazed. Amazed enough to walk to the hallway while looking to behind to see how many people were coming and, therefore, hit his head at the door.

    - Ouch!

He could hear laughs from behind, and his blush was soon noticeable. "No, not today, please.." Swong open the door and entered, realizing he was not alone. A girl and a boy, both shorts, were there as well.

I stood on the far left of the hallway searching the halls for someone intelligent to ask for directions. Which was surprisingly pretty hard, I begin to walk ahead hoping to fine the way myself. I bumped into various people wondering if they knew where it was.

"Ummm excuse me do you know where this place is?" I asked the guy that looked like a stoner, " Aaaaaa no dude, " After finding out that he knew nothing I left.

I walked down the Hall for little while around bout ready to give up when an adult male walked up to me.

"Umm you look lost, young men...." I looked at him with a grim stare " So where you headen " the men extended his hand for my school form

I slowly gave him my school form " I'm headed to the auditorium, know where that is guy "

He looked at me with a smile and pointed to an door beside me " there it is right there buddy "

I looked at the door feeling a little stupid. I quickly turned around and raised my hand and did one wave " thanks oldie....appreciate it "

I walked through the door into a bustling large part of the building, where children enjoying others conversation was loud and talkative" Aghhhh " I rubbed my head and walked down the aisle. Bumping into guys and girl alike trying to find somewhere to sit. "Man.... This is stupid, i don't know how much longer this is going to take but it needs to hurry up "I sat in a sit to the back, trying to drown out the annoying noise of crowd around me.

Arle looked around still confused. She began looking at where everyone else was heading but still wasnt sure if she should follow. She decided top slowly approach the direction the crowd of students were going. Accidently bumping a man she came to a halt, the man stared at her for a moment then smiled as he began to speak.

"Young lady are you lost? Do you know where you're suppost to go?" The man asked her as he reached his hand towards her form. Arle then gave him the form as she gulped before answering.

"No..I actually dont know where to go, could you point out the direction I have to go to?" Arle asked.

The man pointed towards the door heading to the auditoriom. Arle smiled at him and began walking towards the door.

"Thank you." she said as she walked through the door to be overwhelmed by the hustling and bustling of many other students. The trouble of having to push through to find a seat irritated Arle.

"Excuse me..pardon me..could you move over..hey, excuse me AAHH!!" she screamed falling down to the ground. She got up noticing she tripped over someone's leg.

"Hey watch where your going klutz." yelled a boy to Arle.

"I'm sorry.." She said quickly moving away in embarrasment, to then fall over another person. "Oh snap! Ouch!" she yelled in pain.

"What a way for you to enter fall." Remarked a girl as she started laughing at Arle along with the other girls nearby her. Arle stood up red in the face and began to look for a seat faster. She noticed an empty seat in the back next to a lone boy. She sighed and walked over to it and sat herself down.

Seraphine found the hall crowded. The hall was half full, indicating the school had less students than its optimum capacity. There was no particular preference to sitting. Some sat right in the front. A few went to the last rows. One or two could not make up their minds. Many occupied the middle seats. She glanced at the clock on the wall. Anytime now.

Seraphine grabbed the nearest vacant seat and sat down. In a few minutes, the principal arrived. The speech was particularly boring, mainly about school rules, how happy the school was to have new intakes, hope that the school year will be another good one, introduction of the teachers... Seraphine yawned. When she tried to recall the speech half an hour later, she could only remember bits and pieces here and there, none were full sentences. Then something hit her like a truck.

"Lately, a handful of people had collapsed for no apparent reason. They did not faint, but worse, they went into comatose. One of them died last week."

Shocked gasps could be heard. Seraphine wondered why people could be so easily startled. Was it the death or the comas? Or was it "no apparent reason"?

"Everyone, please, take good care of your health. Nobody knows the cause behind all these mysterious, sudden comas, but rest assured the health authorities are doing throrough investigation round the clock as we speak."

The speech went on, until finally the principal requested the freshies to stay back for a moment. The veterans had to leave.

They are probably giving the ascots now. Seraphine shrugged as she walked to another hall where tables and food laid out neatly. What is this year's colour?

Seraphine did not know how long she had waited before she could have her free dinner. When the wait was over, the short girl helped herself to some cake and picked a chair that seemed to the farthest away from the crowd.

The principle basically talked about the School year and his Expectations.I layed back in the seat with my elbow on upright on the arm of the Chair.

The principle cleared his throat and begin to speak "Lately, a handful of people had collapsed for no apparent reason. They did not faint, but worse, they went into comatose. One of them died last wee

I remained in my position in the chair, but my facial expression completely changed. My eyes widen as i gasped a little. Now my attention was caught.

"Everyone, please, take good care of your health. Nobody knows the cause behind all these mysterious, sudden comas, but rest assured the health authorities are doing thorough investigation round the clock as we speak."

" I'm getting a wired feeling from this school already..." I felt as if he was just about finish, so i decided to straighten up in the seat.

The principle spoke a little more than said " will all the Freshman stay and the rest can leave "

I stood up and put my hand in my pocket as i walked down to the stage where the other freshies were with the principle. " Okay guys " than out the crowd we heard a girl clearing her throat " And girls, Welcome to your first year of school. As you know here at our school we wear ascots.

My face begin to sour up " Ngmmm " i rub my head disgusted.

Arle had jumped after hearing what the principle said about people going into comatoses. She started to gaze towards the principle listening to his words.

"Everyone, please, take good care of your health. Nobody knows the cause behind all these mysterious, sudden comas, but rest assured the health authorities are doing thorough investigation round the clock as we speak."

"Something is not right here at all...Maybe I should try investigating this matter, but..what if this thing is a disease thats most likely contagious..? Oh no! then I'd end up catching it, I wonder what to do..." Arle thought to herself.

The principle had wrapped up his speech and then said " will all the Freshman stay and the rest can leave. "

After hearing that Arle stood up and began to walk towards where the freshmen were standing. She stood slightly away from everyone still having the thought of the principle's words running through her head.

The Principal started talking. It was not that boring. Or maybe because Haruka was so nervous and didn't pay thaaat attention, at all. To be surrounded by people from all directions gives the boy some kind of creeps. But, worst than that, the Principal changed his speech. That was more than enough to make him freak out, although he remained the controlled type for the sake of his public image: outside remained as soft as usual, but his clutched hands buried his fear.
It didn't last that long, though. The Principal ordered the freshmen to stay there, probably some ice-breaking party. Haruka didn't care much about it. He kept sitting down, while looking to his presumable classmates gathering a bit away from him. He sighed, and noticed a small girl with a ponytail was standing not too close to the other ones. He went there, poking lightly at her shoulders, embarassed and obviously nervous.

    - I'm sorry to bother you...can you tell me how long do we have to stay here?

A sliver of light passed through the curtains, hitting a boy sleeping at a desk directly in the eyes. Disgruntled by the invasion of the light, he turns his head and adjusts his arms to try to make himself more comfortable only to end up placing the length of his arms across an entire bunch of keys on the keyboard. A loud piercing tone from the computer jolts him into a sitting up position.

"Uuuugh.." Ledah groans, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Instinctively his hand flies straight for the computer mouse to resume where he had left off. Flashing on the screen were the words 'YOU HAVE DIED'. A slew of obscenities come out from his mouth to express his discomfort. Recovering from his defeat he sheepishly picks up the clock on the desk and takes a look at it.

    "W-what?! It's that late already!?"

To Ledah's dismay school had begun and already he was late for the opening cerimonies. With no time to spare he jumps out of his seat and ran to the closet to get his clothes. Due to last nights excursion, he had forgotten to prepare his clothes for the morning. After taking longer than he should of had to get his favorite clothes on, he quickly brushes his teeth, grabs two slices of bread and runs out the door.

Though the new school he was transferring to was somewhat decently within walking distance, Ledah decided to take the bus to save whatever precious time he had left. Luckily, the bus was just boarding the last passenger as he rounded the corner. After barely getting into the bus he plops down into the first empty pair of seats and slides over to the window.

"Phew, I can't believe that I was actually able to catch the bus. While running I felt so light...." he pauses. "No.."

The realization hit him, he had forgotten to bring his bag with him as he left the house. He cups his hand and slides them down his face, stopping so that it still covered his mouth.

'It's the first day of school right? I should be able to get away with not having supplies today.' relieved with the thought, he rung the bell to signal that the next stop he was getting off.

As he got off the bus and took a few steps through the school gates, he was temporarily taken aback by how large the school was. Recollecting himself, Ledah decided it would be best to actually get to the ceremony to try and find out what he's missed so far before doing any sight-seeing.

I could hear people in the background speaking to each other but i quickly decided to tone them out. The principle begin talking again saying that " These are our ascot, Hehehee " the principle smiled at us.

Afterward most of us lined up in a line as the principle passed the ascots out " Welcome to our school " He said this continuously to every student, when it came there turn to get theirs. When my turn came i grabbed it and before he could say anything begin to walk away.

" Hey young men... " The principle said with a joyous voice " You don't want to be welcomed here " I looked at him with my usual expressionless face " Hmpp...I'm good" I continued to walk away. I walked out an stood outside the auditorium. I looked at the ascot hoping to never have to wear it " *Thinking* Men this thing is ugly hehee.... to think I'm going to have to wear this tomorrow " I looked up seeing someone walk in. " He's pretty late to our little get together... Oh well not my problem "
