    Gwen of Eve

Gwen of Eve lights the fires. Her callused hands flick and whimper as she mends and commandeers new additions to her Reliquary of the Lost. Across silk clad hallways, a dim glow offers salvation to those who've strayed from home. Curious souls trail behind, entranced by the ghostly visage of her shadowy silhouette, before being lost within the labyrinth of corridors of her estate. True to her word, those who foolishly lose themselves within the darkness are always met with the grace of her light. Always she aids, but never twice. And those unfortunate enough to have strayed again are lost forever. Doomed to hear the ominous hum of Gwen of Eve but never the see the light.

    The fear in your veins,
    So delicious.
    The pain in your eyes,
    So filling.

    The smell of your skin,
    So soothing.
    The taste of your soul,
    My lifeblood.

I'd like to change my submission to this, please.

I'm sorry, but there is no changing entries. The one you first posted is the one that will be counted. Unless you want to drop out.

    @Rowin - You've been accepted good luck!

I've never considered this "paranormal" to a tee (more about the bleak acceptance of reality over the idealism of paranormality/life after death, etc.), but a majority of readers have said it has a spooky feel. I consider it paranormal until the last few lines, but you be the judge:

    Spoiler:

    Insert Epithet.

Well, I read "Can't be scientifically explained" so... here you go

    His Touch,

    What is this feeling?
    Boiling beneath my skin.
    It burns without yielding,
    It burns for him.

    His touch relieves the pain,
    I didn't know I had.
    His touch keeps me sane,
    But also drives me mad.

    This can't be ordinary,
    These desires within me.
    I feel so extraordinary,
and his touch is the key.

    End of Entries
    ___________________________________________________________
It's nice to see that this week really picked up and got a bunch of good entries. Unfortunately each week comes to an end and today is the end of now last week's competition. So just be patient and the winner should be announced as soon as possible.

    Winner
    ___________________________________________________________

Without further ado this week's winner is Totaldile with the poem "Disappeared".

Another one has hit the news
    Another one is gone
I sigh, I stare, I breathe in deep
The pain will not last long

    News spreads fairly quickly
In a small town such as here
    Where families are closely linked
    But all riddled with fear

    Do not go out after dark;
    They'd drill into us all
For something, someone out there just
May shove and make you fall

    The sealine shore looks promising
The coast is full of fish
    But every day's a risk we'll take
    Thing upon no-one you'd wish.

You may ask what's the danger
But you'd not get a reply
    They'd simply point and whisper
    Murmuring, 'oh, why'

    They pointed at the island
In the middle of the lake.
    If you were unlucky, unfortunatly,
Your life one day it'll take.

So do not venture in a boat
It's far a waste of you
Because one day the lake may take
Your boat and your life too.

Congrats Totaldile! A new emblem should be on its way soon! :D

    This Week's Theme
    ___________________________________________________________

I feel as though it is important for everyone to know that I am leaving PC so I'm not sure when the new theme will be announced due to the fact that no one is running the thread as of now. I'm sorry if any of you were really anticipating a new week, but I'm sure someone else will take my place sooner or later. Best of luck to all the future participants!

Just posting to say that if anyone is interested in running PotW and allowing it to continue on, they can send me a PM.

But for now, PotW 3 is officially closed.
