This game will be set in Lumiose City and based on the 2024 Summer Olympic Games. Principal design will take place in Godot, with character design in Blender, and the game will feature elements from the main series games, the OLM anime, and Masters EX.
Ten playable characters will be featured: Ash (and his Ashley alter ego in select events), Gary, Brock, Misty, Erika, May, Dawn, Iris, Serena, and Chloe. Guests, who are unlockable, will include Lisia, Clemont, Goh, Rosa, Kris, and Marnie.
Ash, Gary, and Misty will be all-around characters. Brock, Goh, and Marnie will be power-focused characters. Erika, May, Dawn, Serena, Chloe, Lisia, and Kris will be technique-focused characters. Iris, Clemont, Rosa, and Marnie will be speed-focused characters.
Events will include field hockey, rugby sevens, athletics (types to be determined), aquatics (swimming, water polo, diving, and artistic swimming), badminton, rhythmic gymnastics, shooting, and sport climbing.
There will also be a story mode, the nature of which is yet to be determined, though part of it will involve the characters doing some sightseeing across Lumiose while warming up.
