Penance Malum
The others were ready now. Penance sighed as he looked around and nodded, "Alright, first off, positions." He pointed at Lyn and Hoodhide, "You two... are fast thinkers. You two will be the next in command, first Lyn and then Hoodhide. It is highly possible that I may go down during the battle, if I do then Lyn, you're in command. You follow the plan and make adjustments as necessary. If you fall then Hoodhide takes control. Both of you listen as close as you can and for the love of Arceus understand what to do."
He looked around, "Alright, the plan I've already outlined, no need to do so again. Instead you all will be told what to do. Truestriker, Bloodthrister, you already know your actions to take. Bloodthirster you find a area that you can hide, preferably one where you can fly from quickly and you hunch down there. Trustriker, you hide in the forest, but not near any thieves. Do not let them know where either of you will hide. If it goes wrong then they may kill you two. First part of the plan. We're going to have two thieves act as bait. If we can't have two volunteers then it will be myself and Calamity. Either way the bait will draw the Ancients forward. Depending on which way the ancients come from we'll stand on a certain side. Down the middle, around here," Penance pointed to a area of the ground,
"We'll dig out the holes and fill them with water. We'll nail the tarps down and cover them with the dirt. Once the Ancients hit the water, the jig is up. Everyone except Truestriker and Bloodthirster will come out of their hiding place and attack. The main objective is to get the ancients and the Sentinel away from the prisoners. Or at least keep them distracted. The sleep powder and stun spore will aid us there, don't get hit by it so once it's poured head out and start attacking. Open a area for the prisoners to be ported out. If you can get to them first then grab the brother and get him out of there, don't focus on the others, only the brother. Once he is out then you can focus on the other prisoners, but only if the teleporters can't do their duty. Get rid of the ancients by any method and we'll then take down the Sentinel. If that happens we get all thieves out of there, pronto. We can't risk letting the Sentinel use them as a shield or letting out attacks fail if they get in the way. Once the thieves are gone then we go in for the attack. At that point both Bloodthirster and Trustriker can join us."
He looked at Vigil, "Now, Vigil, Sword and Shield, and Dryad will stay in the thieves city. You will be the last of the Gold Tribe if we go down. Bloodthirster." He turned to the dragon, "You must stay alive. You are the only one that can fly and it will be up to you to find the scattered Gold Tribe members if we are defeated. Don't die." He looked around, "Now.... we have a good chance of failing. We don't have a lot of information about what forces will come through. Use your instincts first and foremost. The only thing you should worry about is the brother, see me about to be decapitated? Go for the brother. See Hoodhide about to drown? Go for the brother. If he dies then everything would have been for nothing and we would have had many sacrifices for nothing." He looked around. "Once we get the brother free... if it does look like we can't beat the Sentinel then at every cost we stop him or her from entering that forest. We can't let our hard work go to waste. Even if you have to let yourself be slaughtered to stop him from going inside, do so."
He began to pace. "A million things can go wrong and every single thief and Gold Tribe member here could very well die." He sighed, "That is the cost we have to bring. I must know if you can adhere to the plan, all of you. If you can watch your brother or sister die in front of your eyes and be able to turn away to grab the prisoner. I need to know if you are ready to leap in front of an attack aimed at the brother and die because of it. I need to know if you would pay your very SOUL to Darkrai himself to make sure the brother gets out of here alive." He looked around, "If you can't, don't bother coming. You will be useless."
