Oh, really? Eh, I still want Chikorita anyways...Also, is it okay if we "make" rivals; as in, they aren't really the characters that we RP, but just characters we create in order to get some human interactions? That is, if we're not going to be meeting up with some of the other RPers.

Gender: Female

Home Region: Johto

Appearance: Miharu has long black hair that reaches to around the middle of her back. When she battles, she usually puts her hair up in chopsticks. She has small, black, and almond shaped eyes. She is also double lidded. She stands at around 5 feet and weighs about 70 pounds. She has defined muscles from her study of Tae Kwon Do.

She wears a black t-shirt that is resistant to water and fire, as well as black cargo pants, made out of the same resistant materials. She also wears black, Chinese style flats that are easy to move around it. She also carries a few knives around with her at all times, but all of them are hidden from view.

Personality: Miharu is rather sarcastic, snarky, and fairly punny. She is also blunt and usually doesn't tiptoe around. She is very straightforward and isn't afraid of telling the truth, even if it hurts. She, however, is scared to find out if she has her mother's disease, it is hereditary although there's only a 50% chance, and tries to avoid it. She also gets really scared when she gets anything that is remotely like symptoms. She isn't afraid to speak her mind, but knows when to be quiet. She likes to blend into the background and is very observant. Along with this, she is also fairly intelligent and is able to pierce things together quicker than most people. She is also able to profile people and pokemon quite easily.

It all started with a loving mother and the man who abandoned them. To this day, Miharu still doesn't know why he left, and she was smart enough not to ask her mother when she was younger.

Miharu was born in Blackthorn City in Johto with only her grandmother by her mother's side. She was given the name "Miharu" by her grandmother, and she took her father's last name. She was curious, once, when she was ten for the reason why.

"Because, when I married him, I did not take his name, it is tradition in our family that the child takes the father's last name," her mother had stated quietly. Sensing that her mother did not want to talk about it, Miharu backed off.

She grew up as regularly as one could, living with just her mother and her grandmother. Her mother was the cousin of Clair, the (old?) gym leader of Blackthorn, and she played in the Dragons' Den when she was younger. None of the Dragon type pokemon, wild as they may be, would ever think of harming such a young child; no, Dragon types had more honor than that. So, Miharu became rather close to the Dragon types in the Dragons' Den. So close, that she asked Professor Elm, by calling him, if she could use a Dragon type as her starter. Due to the regulations of the Pokemon League, however, he could only say no.

As usual in Blackthorn City, Miharu was trained on how to take care of Dragon types and Dragon-like Types, like the rest of the children in her generation. Not only that, but the children were also trained in various martial arts, in order to ready themselves for their journey. Most of her younger childhood was just this basic schedule: Wake up, eat, train, learn, eat, train, learn, go into the Dragons' Den, eat, and then sleep. Although it seemed rather tedious, Miharu loved the training and learning of different languages and absorbed it all like a sponge. In any of her free time, when she wasn't in the Dragons' Den at least, she would spend extra time learning about weapons, or reading. This schedule continued until she was ten; when her mother became ill with Huntington's. Her grandmother passed away when she was five, so she was the only one that could take care of her mother. She passed the usual age of leaving for the journey, which was ten, and stayed in Blackthorn City to take care of her mother as her condition deteriorated.

However, a few months before her 13th birthday, in a rare sign of sanity, her mother told her this, "Please ignore this dying woman and go on your journey. I do not want to hold you back from doing the things you loved just for me. I love you, and please be careful."

Crying, Miharu nodded and said, "I will. I love you too mother. I'll be careful and everything!"

The next day, her mother died and Miharu volunteered to be one of the people to go to the Lilly of the Valley.

Appearance: Choppy blonde hair, and pale blue eyes. He doesn't care about style so he usually wears a white t-shirt and baggy jeans.

Personality: A smart, and an unusual kid. Since he is an absolute genius when battling, he is very conceited. He always says what he's thinking and very outgoing.

History: Although he lived in the grand city of Goldenrod, his family was very poor. He couldn't afford those fancy pokeballs, or get a bike. He didn't have very much to do. So he played with the wild pokemon in the nearest route. He learned how to befriend and use them for battle at the age of 9. But his parents were very strict. So he wasn't allowed to use Pokemon from the wild.
Even though he knew how to battle.

At age 11, his parents told him, that he needed to go to Sandgem Town, which was in Sinnoh. He asked why, but his parents told him that it was important business, and that his battling skills will not go to waste. They said no more. Nick was curious, so he was happy to go.

Jasmine counted her steps as she paced around the beach. She noticed a boy, probably the same age as herself.
He was using his Heracross to fight a fellow youngster's Wingull.

'HERACROSS! Use Stone Edge!' said the boy.

The Wingull fell flat on the sand. The youngster stared at the boy in awe. After analyzing his Heracross, Jasmine
took a good look at the boy. He had bright green hair, with a cowlick on his head. His eyes matched his hair,
quite accurately. He only wore a vest, which was black with some orange lines. He wore bright orange pants,
which must've been tough to wear in this hot Sinnoh weather.

'Wow, Aaron, you totally deserve to be an Elite 4!' said the youngster.

'No need to flatter me, I know i'm good. Haha.' said Aaron.

'So he's in the Elite 4,' Jasmine thought. She was impressed.

Ugh, I just remembered I had done a short RP as Aaron with my friends. I think it was something like this. It was really long ago, so I don't remember much of it. (I practically didn't remember it at all.

Appearance: Right before hopping onto the plane Xander decided to shave his head... himself. Needless to say it didn't come out the way he wanted as there were patches of hair he couldn't see/get. He had his grandma go over it again so now it's completely shaven though there's a patch of blonde hair that's longer if you care to look hard enough. Most people who met Xander say that his eyes are his greatest feature which Xander whole-heartily disagrees with. They're deep green now that all of his hair is gone they seem to have more of a shine to them when glanced at.

Xander's usual choice of clothing is just some basketball shorts and whatever t-shirt isn't dirty. Usually his shorts are red because that happens to be his favorite color. The length of them vary but the ones that are worn most often fall slightly above his knees. Which expose all of his cuts/bruises/scrapes from all of his "adventures" and from being clumsy. Typically his shirt is just one color but he prefers this red/white, vertical, striped shirt that is a bit too big for him. The shirt itself barely hangs onto Xander lean frame which certainly fits his childhood nickname, Twig. Lanky might be the perfect way to describe Xander overall. To finish off his outfit would have to his dirty, cheap sneakers that he has had for years. They were bought two sizes too big and he has just recently grown into them, thankfully. If Xander can remember he also has a light blue gymsack usually there's nothing in there except a journal and a pencil/pen.

Personality: Xander is a very competitive person and hates to lose to anyone. He's always striving to be number one he won't settle for less. Xander wants things at the highest level of difficulty. Though, for being a competitive person he isn't as loud as you might think one would be. Actually he is rather timid when it comes to talking to people. His grandparents wish that he had the personality of his sister fearless, brave, and outgoing. If anything Xander tends to ignore people a trait that he is constantly fixing. Daydreaming would be Xander's #1 activity if eating wasn't already in that slot. The future is all he can think about, the results of what he wants which causes problems. The here and now really doesn't occur to Xander until it's already too late.

The opportunity to be around Pokemon has presented itself to Xander but he really didn't partake in it. Granted his family does have an Infernape but it doesn't like Xander at all and tends to tease him. He's wary about having to slug around some Pokemon with him that he won't get along with one that will jeopardize his future winnings. If that happens Xander won't hesitate to get rid of it and get something stronger. Nothing will slow down Xander in his quest to conquer the league at least that's what he keeps telling himself.

History: Town of the past was definitely Celestic Town's motto one that Xander had to live by his entire life. There weren't any televisions anything that was remotely electronic wasn't used. Except his grandmother broke down and got them a microwave because Infernape kept burning all their food. Life in Celestic Town was... quiet to say the least. The only company he had was his grandparents, his sister Dria, and Yearn (the Infernape). Life got pretty dull around town as every day seemed to repeat the same process over and over again. Which is why Xander holed himself in his room imagining all the things he would do on his "epic" journey.

Travelers often came in and out of their house since his grandparents owned the local "store" if it could be called that. Trainers, Singers, Actors, all type of people passed through and Xander would sometime listen to their tall tales of ancient power. Dria would often drag him out to the cave to see if they could "conjure" up any ancient Pokemon to come to them. His sister wanted them to bring back their parents who were off doing "work" which Xander and his sister both knew was a lie. They never got the full-story of where their Father or Mother was but that didn't bother them much. As they both promised once they started their journey they would scavenged Sinnoh for them and whoever found them first was the winner.

"That gentleman over there wanted you to have this," The waitress's blonde hair seemed just as perky as her and she pointed at a guy who's back was toward Flo.

Flo looked up, "No thanks!" She murmured and continued to sip her freshly, brewed coffee though at this point it didn't taste like coffee at all. The waitress frowned and left the note next to Flo's coffee cup and skipped off to another table. As Flo looked around it was a little coffee shop in Mississippi she almost forgotten how she got here. That's right she killed her best friend and stole her Dad's credit card then flew down here. Her Aunt lived here in Petal, Mississippi and she figured she would hide out there. The note said, "Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Table 4 from the entrance. We need you!" The "you" was underlined many times Flo noticed that the paper had ripped because the person had done it that many times. The waitress came back her arms flailing at her side Flo thought that she was having a stroke while she skipped.

"Fluck!" Flo screeched, coffee flew everywhere the waitress had spilled coffee all over Flo. The note was ruined, "Worse things could happen to you!" Someone hissed in her ear. Flo swung her head around and she saw the man that had been pointed out earlier exit the shop. She noticed the waitress's eyes were bugged out. Flo looked down where the waitress's eyes were focused at. Shitshitshit! Flo thought as she ran out of the place like she was on fire. The table that Flo was at had hand imprints burned into them where Flo had been sitting at. Flo's mutation had activated during the coffee spill incident causing her hands to glow and burn through the table.

Harrisburg? Harryburg? Haitiesburg? Flo couldn't remember the name of the place but she knew she didn't want to go there. She stuck her hands in her coffee soaked jacket and sighed... there was something in here. Another note! "Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Table 4. Come to the Coffee Shop." Flo looked up at the sign she had almost passed, "Welcome to Hattiesburg!" She had to go to another coffee shop! Flo walked a little more until she happened upon the coffee shop this was better than the last one. She walked through the door and glanced around. A fat kid, a skinny Mexican. and a weird boy who was tampering with a clock. Great crowd.

Table 4. The fat kid was there and the Mexican, "Who are you, why are we at a freaking coffee shop." That was a good question but Flo didn't want to intervene. Instead she walked up to them and sat down next to the Mexican who looked like he could be a side dish for the fat kid. Flo could only imagine what they thought of her. She was wearing coffee stained clothing and bought a sprinkled, white icing doughnut.

Appearance:
Syrene's long, flowing red hair is inherited from her father while the round sapphire blue eyes were gifted from her deceased mother, and the pale complexion of her face and skin tone is extremely contradictory to her activeness and constant exposure to the sun. Syrene keeps her hair either natural without hair accessories of any kind or fixed into a single high ponytail with a ribbon or hairband while her face lacks fat of any kind and shapes into an almond connecting at her smoothly curved chin. The bangs of her head part mid way and falls above while moving outwards away from her eyes while the full length of her hair reaches above her buttocks. Syrene keeps her hair long because of her father's stories about her mother's beautiful long hair which she clearly sees within a picture of her mother standing atop the hill overlooking the ocean in Lilycove City. She is thin and petite standing at a height of 3 feet and 2 inches tall while weighing about 76 pounds, however, small tell signs of musculature can be seen on her arms and legs.

Syrene's attire leans towards her tomboyish side. A sleeveless gray T-shirt with a white tanktop under it is paired with a blue cutoff pants reaching just perpendicular to her knees. On her feet, a matching pair of white running shoes fitting perfectly and some ankle high socks peeking slightly from her shoes are her desired footware while around her body, many different accessories can be seen. Her left forearm sports a small wristwatch with only hour and minute hands and hour markings within it's dial while on her right forearm, a silver bracelet belonging to her mother rests gently wrapping around the wrist. A brown belt can be seen buckled and helping keep her pants from dropping; however, even without the belt, no assistance would be necessarily needed as an aid. A golden locket can be seen dangling around Syrene's neck which houses a small photo of her mother which she had found one day within a book belonging to her father as she was sorting his desk one day.

Personality:
Being surrounded by Pokemon at a young age, Celine is naturally infatuated by Pokemon. That alone is a good and bad point of her. Regardless, she treats her Pokemon as family and would go to great lengths for them. Syrene is easy to get along with because of overly positive attitude, but she can be a total klutz adding to her pool of likableness. Syrene enjoys outdoor activities especially things related to nature and has a curiosity for many different things, usually cute objects. Speaking from her heart is something Syrene can do without difficulty, however, she is still naive and abhors people who lies, ironically. Anger is something she hasn't been shown much thus she has little knowledge of what anger really is.

Syrene has a deep fear of fire from an unfortunate event from her childhood days. The sight of fire would immobilize her with extreme fear and Syrene has yet to overcome this fear. She has over the years persisted and have gotten used to seeing fire but if she were to be surrounded by it, she would lose herself in fear as she did in the past. Her father began to teach her how to block off her fears, however, she has yet to fully utilize the skill and is still practicing. The sight of fire from Pokemon attacks is somewhat different to her and that it is only among those certain fires that she can tolerate because Syrene can be extremely engrossed in a battle cancelling out her fear for that moment.

History:
Born within Lilycove City, Syrene lost her mother shortly after she gave birth to Syrene and with her final breaths, gave Syrene her name. Being a former Pokemon trainer, Syrene's father wasn't sure how to raise a child by himself and decided to immerse his daughter in his passion for Pokemon. Thinking how raising a child shouldn't be too different than raising a Pokemon, he tried his best. The start of the life of Syrene Garland now begins.

Syrene, as a child, was always surrounded by her father's Pokemon because her father was always working to support her. He would see her during the nights but not as often as he would hope due to the long shifts. Eventually, the Pokemon became her second family and her love for them grew. Gardevoir was the mother figure to Syrene, always watching over her and protecting her along with the occasional disapprove of her bad behaviors and many attempts to teach good habits. Syrene didn't like how strict Gardevoir was sometimes but Celine loved her regardless. Aggron and Manectric were somewhat of big brothers and kept eyes on Syrene as often as they could while being dragged around by the young girl into playing many different games. Banette was the prankster and that she would always play tricks on Syrene just to hear her cry; however, in truth, Banette enjoyed being with her master's child and though Syrene doesn't know it yet, Banette hopes she will understand as she grows up. Sceptile was somewhat distant from Syrene since there was little the Pokemon could do but keep an extra pair of eyes on the young toddler. Syrene on the other hand, with her increasing joy of nature, followed the green pokemon around more frequently than the others causing Sceptile much grief at times but Syrene's innocence would get the better of the female Pokemon.

With the coming of her childhood years and the start of her school life, Syrene was always transported to and from school by Flygon; however, transporting her to school was only one of many things Flygon did. Syrene was quite the adventurer and would force (yes, she can be demanding at times) Flygon to accompany her on small explorations of the forests nearby Route 121. They would spend much time there until Gardevoir sets out to search for them albeit with much worry and discontent. Despite being scolded fiercely, the duo laughed it off and plotted future adventures.

In school, Syrene was distant from the other children beacause she was surrounded by only pokemon and could not relate to the things other children did. The others would approach her, but find that Syrene would be quite different especially with her infatuation for pokemon which appealed much more to the boys rather than the girls. That being the case, Syrene was closer to boys and became much more of a tomboy the past few years, shocking her father, but he saw that she was beginning to follow in his footsteps. That alone made him the happiest he had ever been.

There was once a fire that had started somewhere on Route 121 when Flygon and Syrene were out adventuring nearby the woods. It had spread quickly, catching onto small brush and many dead branches with no desire to stop it's advance as the flames persisted, and separated Flygon from the young Syrene, who was trapped by walls of burning logs and trees. The flaming orange and red flickers closed in on her slowly, planting a seed of fear deep inside Syrene. The fire was eventually doused and from within the blackened landscape, a charred and fainted Syrene was found. No one knows what had happened but that was a day she would remember forever.

Turning 11 and learning new tricks from her father of Pokemon, Syrene was surprised to find that she had been chosen to start a journey of her own through Sinnoh in the Pokemon International League Revitalisation Project. Her and her father had heard about it but for Syrene to be chosen, Syrene's father was astonished to say the least but it eventually turned into enthusiasm as he began to encourage Syrene of the opportunity. Syrene began to feel nervous and frightened about traveling alone, but little did she know, her father had a gift waiting for her in the form of an egg. A Pokemon egg...

"We've arrived, General." A voice over came over Gwen's shoulder that prompted her to turn towards the speaker. Gwen looked over and saw the grunt that found her inside the cave. Glancing at the name tag which read PFC. Kylier Adrich, Gwen nodded to the young recruit.

"Tell Serina to take us down." Gwen replied. PFC. Adrich saluted and left to convey the message. Gwen turned back to the window and watched as her aircraft began descending towards the hanger at the outskirts of Saffron. As the plane was swallowed up into the ground, the hangar doors closed above them and they made their way towards Gwen's personal docking bay. A soft rumble shook the plane for a second before it became immobile and that told Gwen that Serina had finished docking the aircraft. The crew members rushed about gathering items and lots of documents of all kinds the moment they landed. Serina walked out of the cockpit and stretched her legs and limbs while Leanne was working on the plane's extendable bridge to lock with the platform they had docked on. After a few moments of silent contemplation, Gwen stood up and brushed herself off a bit before walking towards Leanne, who could be seen fiddling with a mechanical control panel near the exit hatch.

"Just a biiit more...." A small noise could be heard from the extended bridge before Leanne gave a small outburst. "Alright! Bridge has connected to the main platform. We are ready when you are, General!" Leanne saluted to show her accomplishment. Gwen grabbed onto the cold metal latch and turned it as she pushed against the metallic door. A cloud of dust swept up and brushed across Gwen's face causing her to sneeze, and she muttered something under her breath. Gwen never liked the hangar much and would always make haste to leave it behind her.

As Gwen took a step out, she saw that a member of Noble Team was waiting outside her plane and that could only mean one thing, Commander Raymond was back. Gwen ordered her crew members to finish up and be dismissed afterwards. Gwen, followed closely by Lt. Serina and Lt. Leanne upon orders, walked towards the Noble Team messenger whom greeted Gwen with a salute.

"Welcome back, General Gwen! I have urgent orders for you to report to Commander Raymond's Office! That is all!" The messenger shouted and saluted once more before he made his way towards the hanger exit. With her hands on her hips, Gwen sighed and shook her head.

"Man... Demanding for you right as we returned... I still need to take a shower..." Leanne said with puffed cheeks. "So what are you gonna do, Gwen?" Leanne looked at Gwen who wore a blank look as always.

"...Not much to do. We report to the Commander as he wishes..." Gwen said with a look of discontent this time. She knew he would be plotting something, but what, even Gwen doesn't have a clue. "Come. As much as I hate seeing him... better to get things over with." Gwen started walking towards the hangar exit with her two officers following behind her. In seconds, their silhouettes disappeared into the underground corridors.

As Gwen and her two officers made their way towards the Central Elevator, Gwen can see that many of the grunts were running about, some were still in a state of shock from losing their leader, while some were able to keep themselves composed as they worked. Some saw General Gwen and saluted quickly and Gwen returned the salute before the grunts ran off again. Things haven't been this chaotic in a long while and this disturbed the young general but she decided to brush it off. Leanne was pointing ahead at the elevator that connected to a shaft leading upwards towards the upper ground level which was where their destination would be. Gwen pressed the up button to the side of the elevator and within seconds the door opened to welcome them in. Leanne quickly entered followed by Serina with Gwen entering last, who reached for the side panel button within the elevator labeled 17 and pressed it. The doors closed before them and the lift made it's ascent up.

The elevator door opened with a ping upon reading 17 on it's visual counter. Gwen, Serina, and Leanne stepped out and walked about that floor. After seeing the general return, many of the grunts on that floor were talking quietly amongst themselves while trying to avoid eye contact with Gwen, but she ignored the lot of them and continued on. Gwen turned a few corners as she walked past the other commanders' offices until she found a young lady at a desk whom she recognized immediately. It was Commander Raymond's personal secretary called Rachel, whom Gwen had met on a few occasions when having to report to said Commander. As Gwen and her party approached the desk, Rachel brought her head up from looking at documents to find the young general. With a quick push of her glasses that sat loosely on her nose, Rachel greeted Gwen.

With a salute, Gwen spoke, "General Gwen, reporting." Gwen saw Rachel picking up her phone and muttering some words into it before motioning with her hand to enter the room. Gwen nodded to the red-haired woman and opened the door to Commander Raymond's office. Gwen slowly entered as did her two officers with Serina closing the door behind them. All three saluted before Gwen spoke out once more.

"...General Gwen, reporting in, Sir." Gwen twinged as she heard herself say Sir, something that would probably make Raymond chuckle deep inside. Gwen noticed Raymond's two trusted officers were with him as well. Things are pretty serious if they were with him.

I was thinking maybe Celine will get her pokemon from the egg which she receives from her father, rather than the professor. ;D Since I did kind of worked around it in my history. Apparently my comp erased the appearance and personality portions so I will finish updating it starting after this post. (might be small edits but it will be done today)

Seth Syonis has darkish blond hair, and uses it to his advantage to look as intimidating as a skinny, exited 12-year-old boy can. He has sharp green eyes which he inherited from his father as well as a fair tan from spending so much time on sunny route 103. He is 95 pouds and 5 foot 3, so hes is normally overlooked as he looks like many other 12-year-olds in the area, although many friends his age are still shorter than him. He has a runners build, and was always the fastest kid in any race, but is strong and fierce none the less.
He usually wears a white t-shirt, blue jeans, dark green army boots, and a belt to which he attaches his pokeballs. He wears a messenger bag in which he caries all his pokemon supplies fairly neatly. He has hardly been caught without his beanie with a pokeball design. It's practically part of him; he doesn't even take it off to sleep. only a few locks of hair are shown to make him appear more intimidating. He almost always has a serious and stern expresion and has his arms crossed. Just look for the guy with the pokeball beanie.

Seth Syonis in truly a very kind kid. He has a big heard and always lends a helping hand if it is needed. He helps his neighbors whenever they need it, takes good care of children, Never could really hurt somebody, and even grows food in a little garden behind the house.
Although this is true, Seth usually chooses to let on his more intimidating, stubborn, and grouchy nature, especially in battle. He will instantly shift gears and became a serious, stern, and aggressive guy.He frequently goes to route 103 to run, swim, and dream about being a pokemon master. He has waited what has felt like forever to embark on his very own pokemon journey, and is psyched when he was chosen to go to the Sinnoh pokemon league.
Although his family and small town have fared relatively good, He undrstands that the region as a whole is suffering because of lack of supplies from Johto and Kanto, and yet they barely notice, let alone help. He has formed a grudge on The regions and anyone from them. And even though again he wouldn't hurt a soul, He realizes that the SUN are just doing what is necessary for Hoenn to survive the migration to Sinnoh.

Seth Syonis Has lived his whole life until about a year ago living in Oldale town. He doesn't mind living there, and he knows everyone, but can't wait to leave, as it can get a bit dull there, which doesn't suit Seth. He craved adventure. Not the adventure of going to watch a poocheyena chase and capture prey for about the millionth time. No, Seth has dreamed of departing his home in Oldale to see new pokemon, people, and places. To meat friends, allies, and rivals. That is what he has always wanted. Oldale may be home, but out in the world, traveling through Kanto, Johto, and best of all, Sinnoh, is where he felt he belongs.
When he could barely talk, Seth received a beanie with a pokeball design on it. Even to this day, he hardy ever takes it off, even to sleep at night and the hot days of summer. It instantly became the distinguishing part of his identity.
Ever since He could tell a Whismer from a Seedot, Seth has anxiously wanted to go on a pokemon adventure of his very own and become a pokemon master Like many before him. He sometimes pretended that his mother's Blaziken was his own, and Setg would play with it for hours; of course, it wouldn't listen to him, but it would be amused by, and it would definitly amuse Seth. Choosing the starter was hard for him, he wanted all three. But after settling on Treeko, he was on his way. He came to Sinnoh to see the exotic pokemon there and challenge their pokemon gyms and the Elite four, and maybe even the champion some day! When he was one of four chosen to compete in the pokemon league, he consitered it the greatest and luckiest day of his life and was almost emidiatly on his way after goodbyes from all his friends and family!

It was late, but he wouldn't wake anybody up -yet.Jake was training his partner and best friend, piplup, in the meadow after collecting the plants he was instructed to. afer defeating the last cherim, he started home. to his left, and fairly close he though he saw a shadow. piplup seemed unawear though, and pokemon senses are usually better than humans', so he must've mistaken it. But then he saw it again, and this time piplup did too, just a streak of black against the almost black sky. Then common sense payed him a visit to slap him in the face. He probably shouldn't be out alone at night with the soliarians up and about. then he saw the shadow again, a shadow of a man, but this time he didn't streak, he stood. His face fierce, with the dart gun loaded with the virus aimed with precision at him. He heard a squeak from piplup, but before he could look he felt it himself. He could feel the virus already deaded for the lunges and throat. He almosed blacked out. He would've if he hadn't had so much knowledge of plants. he plucked one from his feat, and ate it. He was in luck, that plant could've been it's twin and killed him now rather than tree days later. he felt better now, but he knew it wouldn't delay the virus. He saw piplup already fainter and turned to the guy to yell at him, or worse, but he was gone. Just gone. He couln't have hid in the meadow, too easy to spot. So Jake popped piplup over his sholders like a sack, and tried his best to make it home.

When he awoke, he was in his bed. It had all been a dream,. But as he started to get up, he realized he was surrounded by what seemed to be the whole town. Piplup by his side seemed to be waking up too. Jane's father spoke. Son, you have been infected by the virus to which there is no cure. The others hung their heads as if he was already dead. And Jake understood why perfectly. He would die in approximatly 74 hours. Piplup wasn't so lucky. He had one day.

Name: Louisa Maria Appleby, goes by Lou

Home Region: Hoenn

Appearance: Lou is a rather short and of a healthy weight. That is to say, she's not that skinny, but not fat either. She's just a bit bigger than average for her age, with a chubby cheeks, a bit of a cleft chin and strong arms from farm work. Her skin, due to most of her time being spent outside in the sun, in quite tanned with freckles dotting her entire face, shoulders and arms. Really, there's quite the invasion going on there.

Her hair is strawberry blonde, little over chin-length and full of bouncy curls –no bangs. It's always quite wild and even when tied back in twin tails (which she does when it really annoys her) lots of strands will still run free. Her eyes, which are quite big yet almost close to slits when she laughs, are a grayish blue with light blonde, almost invisible lashes. Talking about the laugh, she's got quite a big mouth too. She's got a bit of a buck-teeth problem, but it's not something she's afraid of. The girl with flash her big, bright smile anyway.

Lou likes to wear a green plaid blouse, true to her rural nature. It's long-sleeved but always pushed up to the elbows and tucked into her rather high-waist pair of white short shorts. Yes she's really just ditzy enough to bring her summery shorts, suited perfectly for the tropical Hoenn climate, to the not-so tropical Sinnoh climate. Looped through the shorts is a stringed belt with a ring for Pokéball. Underneath the outfit she wears brown leather cowboy boots with flowery stitching on the sides. And to really finish it off she wears a round straw-hat with a white ribbon.

To carry her stuff Lou has a beige backpack, on the small side. She didn't bring much with her so she didn't have need for a big one. Really its main purpose is carrying fresh fruit (having lived on a fruit farm, this girl breathes fruit), a spare change and that old cellphone her parents gave her that she really just hasn't figured out yet.


Personality: Lou is really and truly nice. She's the kind of naïve nice that would never even think anything bad about people. She always tries to be helpful and friendly and to her everyone is her friend. Well everyone that's nice back at least. With the naïveté also comes a very simple view of right and wrong. To her there's really no middle way, and she's got her beliefs on what's wrong all clear ahead of her. She's really also the kind of girl that would do anything to be helpful, even doing stupid things for the smallest reasons. Though she's a generally very happy person, she does get upset easily. Also she's highly chaotic and disorganized.

Lou is also quite honest, she says what's on her mind. Though, as we said before, she wouldn't dare think bad things about people until proven otherwise, this rarely is a problem. She's also extremely ditzy and a little clumsy, and just overall not the sharpest tool in the shed. But with her high energy and big smile she'll face the world. Why would it even matter if she's a genius or not? In a similar way she's absolutely terrible with technology. Not for the life of her could she figure anything else out than a simple phone. Actually, here newly acquired (and quite old too) cellphone's definitely not figured out yet.

She's also very simple, something the farm life does to some people. She's got simple ideas and thoughts. She's also never travelled much, besides the move early in her life and going to and from the market. Thus new sights really amaze her, especially everything that's bigger than Slateport's market, because even there she only knows the way to-and-from the seller's square. Being such a rural girl she absolutely adores nature, especially flowers. She's got the green thumbs to back it up too, really, just drop her in a nice flowery field and she'll be happy for days. Lastly Lou is respectful. Her Ma and Da had taught her well to be polite and respect all others. She always says "sir" and "ma'am" and is as proper as could be.

History: Lou was born into a family of two, her Da Thomas Appleby and her Mum Joanne Brown-Appleby. The two met when Thomas, originally from Solaceon, Sinnoh, went to work at a distant-uncle who needed some help during the harvesting season in Hoenn. Thomas' uncle's farm bordered on Joanne and her family's farm and the two of them met one faithful day and spent the whole season together during the free hours. And when the season was over they stayed in touch and then Thomas came back the following year. After another year they got married with the grandeur of a farm-side wedding and Joanne moved to Sinnoh with him to his parents' farm, which he'd take over. Joanne was 18 at the time and Thomas 19.

The two quite quickly decided to have children, Joanne getting pregnant about a month after the wedding.. After the complicated birth Joanne had Lou, and then had been told that she shouldn't hope on getting pregnant again. The doctors were right and Lou remained an only child who was quite spoiled by her parents. The first 6 years of her life were spent in Solaceon town where Lou proved to be a boundlessly energetic child with a knack for getting herself hurt. When Lou was 6 Joanne got a call from her father that he needed help in the farm and if she could come and help him for a bit. So she left for Hoenn alone for a season only finding that her father had been too proud to tell her that he was terminally ill, cancer. A few months later he died, leaving the farm to Joanne and Thomas. This was the moment that they decided to move to Hoenn, to a bigger farm and better weather. The farm was, just like their last one, a fruit-farm, mainly apples and pears and some berries. But it also contained a lot more ground, and the right kind of soil for Joanne to start growing flowers as always was her dream.

Not much else notable happened in Lou's life afterwards. She proved to also have a knack for getting into trouble with the neighboring farm's son Adam. The two were inseparable and terrors to the community. Even though the terrorizing stopped after the two got older they still remained close friends. In fact it had been Adam who was chosen to become a trainer, but the boy had caught a nasty strain of the flu which turned into pneumonia two weeks before they were supposed to go. Combine that with the fact that he didn't really want to go, and he was needed in his parents' farm, he decided to bail out. The people organizing the league panicked, afraid of not being able to find a replacement in time and Lou volunteered to take his place. Even though she'd always been a simple farm-girl, she did have dreams of seeing the world as scary as it may be. And so Lou turned out to be the candidate instead, stepping, for her first time in her whole life, on a plane. Which, by the way, was quite terrifying.

Axella rolled over, still half-asleep. She yawned and sleepily looked at the clock which said… 11:14. Of course today was the first day she'd overslept in, what, five years? She jumped out of bed, infinitely pissed at herself, and quickly changed into the clothes she'd laid out for herself, brushed her hair and put it up in a pony. Of course she'd been worrying all the previous night, not that she would admit to worrying if asked, so she hadn't slept a wink. Except in the morning of course. But nothing to be done about that now.


She grabbed the letter she'd gotten from the schoolboard, it said that she would be expected at 11:45, which was barely half an hour away but she'd be fin she knew. She made her bed and made sure she left her room in pristine condition, checked and second-checked her bag on everything, made some last minute decisions to include the notebook and pen and exclude the binoculars and off she went.


There was no one really to say goodbye to, Axel wasn't the most sociable person around and she hadn't made much friends. Sure she was respected by mostly her fellow sporters but there was no one she could say a teary farewell to and she was just fine without it.


As the school was part of the laboratory, or perhaps the laboratory was part of the school, it only took her a few minutes of speed-walking (Not that Axella was in any way capable of slow-walking anyway) to get to the large doors that automatically opened to reveal a kind face at the other side.


"Isabella Claire am I right? You're just in time, my name is Professor Cedar" the Professor said with a kind smile. Axel noted how she was rather pretty in her own way, but she also looked a bit… out there. Still the Professors huge smile prompted a small smile from herself as well, albeit small.


"Please, it's Axel," she said and the Professor quickly apologized. "It's quite alright though, so what's left?"


"Oh, right, over here please," the Professor coached her over to a table with but two Pokéballs left. "I apologize, the order of who got to pick first was randomized I assure you. There is Oshawott and Snivy left," when she said the creature's name she pointed at the respective Pokéball.


Axel grunted, certainly not her favourite Pokémon. She was no fan of the grass type as often they proved quite weak, but she profoundly disliked Oshawott so there really was little choice to be made. "I'll take the Snivy then," she said with a sigh.


"Oh don't worry about it," the Professor said as she handed Axel her Pokémon. "I've seen it often enough, trainers who aren't all too happy with their starter always grow to love it anyway." She turned around and handed Axel a Pokédex as well. "This, as you should no doubt already know, is a Pokédex, it is registered on your name and has a programmed trainer's license."


Axella nodded, she knew this for it had been on the exam but she didn't say anything about it and just put it away in her bag. Next came five empty Pokéball. "You should undoubtedly know exactly what these do as well, there's little explaining, now," Cedar checked something off of a clip-boardand started to suggest Axel'd leave when Axel noticed something.


"What an odd thing to place such a statue in your lab," she noted. "And quite prominent too, you must give much importance to the birds."


"Ah," Cedar said as she turned to look at the statue, admiration in her eyes. "Yes, the legend of the birds. I've searched for them in my own time you know? Back when I could."


"Did you ever find them?" Axel wanted to know, finding herself interested even if she shouldn't be.


"No, I think it wasn't meant for me." There was a tone of sadness in her voice. "However, with a new batch of trainers comes new opportunities," she looked at Axel with promising eyes and Axel found that she just couldn't say no to her.


"Of course I'll look for them when I can," she found herself promising.

"That would make me very happy. And when you see them please do tell me all about them!" She said excitedly. "However, do not attempt to catch them! Creatures of such magnificence should not be tamed," she said sternly and Axel nodded understanding. "Oh, look now I almost forgot!"


She retrieved a pearly white badge case from her drawer and handed it to Axel. "Sometimes I'd swear I'd forget my head if it weren't attached," she laughed merrily. "Place your badges in here, you wouldn't want to lose something you fought so hard for, and it makes it easier for the League to check your badges when you get there. And yes I do believe that you will, you have a fight in your eyes Axella."


Axel accepted the case with a thank you. "It was a pleasure to meet you Professor," she said quite earnestly. Axel was not a people person but this lady was just so… lovable. "And I'll call you if ever I see something, I promise."


Cedar nodded. "Now go! The world is waiting for you!" She didn't have to tell Axel twice. With her new treasures in her bag she was finally, and really finally, ready to go on her journey, prove her mother wrong once and for all and perhaps gain some fame or recognition in the process.


She half-ran out of the laboratory and towards the first route.. "Hm, protocol says to meet your Pokémon partner as soon as possible," she mused, looking at the ball in her hand. She pressed the button and released a moody-looking Snivy of odd colours.


She squatted to its level, looking at it curiously. "Ah, they did say the Professor had studied discolouring," she muttered and the Snivy stared at her headstrong, then turned its back on her, wlaking toward the route.


"Hey! What do you think you're doing?" Axel demanded, quickly getting up to follow. "I'm your trainer, you listen to me, that's the deal," she snapped but the Snivy just stared at her challengingly. "Sheesh did they not raise you over there?" Axel demanded. "If you don't behave I'll keep you locked in your ball I swear." Snivy just responded with sticking its tongue out to her.


"Oh that's it!" She immediately called it back into its ball and sighed. "I wonder if Cedar has a return policy…"

Oh and as a bit of extra info, I'd imagine their Hoenn farm to be about where the berry farm is.

I reeeeally don't want this one to die too :( I think I'm cursed - EVERY RP I join seems to die off before it even begins...
