    Plot:
Throughout the Derukia region, people have been disappearing. There's nothing left behind; they just vanish, never to be seen again. This started six months ago. As time has passed, the frequency of these disappearances has increased.

Near the last known locations of some of the people who have vanished, strange ships have been sighted. Gigantic flying fortresses, they seem to come from one point, near where the most people have vanished. Indeed, at the regional edges, there have yet to be any disappearances.

    Yet.

As the rate of people vanishing has increased, they have spread out from the point of origin...

Some call it the end of the world.

Old myths tell of Armageddon; of a dead, empty world which is home to a force that longs to engulf the planet, and of twin, warring Pokemon of life and death that will ultimately decide the fate of the world...

What happens to the people who disappear?

    None know.

    Comments on Plot:
I want to portray a world that realizes it's coming to an end, and there's nothing to be done about it. I want to create the hopelessness and despair that would come with this revelation. This is a tale of the consequences of a world where small children are given monsters that obey their every command and told to overthrow a criminal syndicate; it is a tale of broken souls fighting a world that has wronged them, and, in the process, becoming someone entirely different.

    focusing on the story
A'right...I've got my hopes up now.
    Features:
    - Custom Poke Balls! ...you call that a feature?

    Plot: Let's go~
Throughout the Derukia Where's the name derived from? region, people have been disappearing Why do we care?. There's nothing left behind; they just vanish, never to be seen again. This started six months ago. As time has passed, the frequency of these disappearances has increased ...meh..

Near the last known locations of some of the people who have vanished, strange ships have been sighted ...since when is pkmn a Ys game?. Gigantic flying fortresses Okay, this is just plain strange..., they seem to come from one point, near where the most people have vanished. Indeed, at the regional edges, there have yet to be any disappearances.

    Yet.

As the rate of people vanishing has increased, they have spread out from the point of origin...

Some call it the end of the world. [/anticlimax]

Old myths tell of Armageddon; of a dead, empty world which is home to a force that longs to engulf the planet, and of twin, warring Pokemon of life and death ...seriously? That's just lame. You can do better... that will ultimately decide the fate of the world...

What happens to the people who disappear?

None know. You do. Or at least I hope you do...

    Comments on Plot:
I want to portray a world that realizes it's coming to an end Then you gotta do a little more convincing than just 'people are disappearing'. Why is that important? I asked this up there: why do we care? Is there only a certain demographic that is disappearing?, and there's nothing to be done about it. I want to create the hopelessness and despair that would come with this revelation. This is a tale of the consequences of a world where small children are given monsters that obey their every command and told to overthrow a criminal syndicate ...ypu didn't even mention that. ~_~; it is a tale of broken souls fighting a world that has wronged them, and, in the process, becoming someone entirely different. It's an attempt at being epic, but, nevertheless, you hardly told anything...people disappear. That's nice. I wanna hear more...

    157: Electrgon - Electric/Dragon - Life Pokemon - Designer: KougaWolf
What kind of a name is Electrgon?! You're seriously passing that off as one of your 'legends'?
    ...refer to the bolds above.

*gasp* Somebody else actually plays Ys?
There is still hope for this game, although I must admit the story seems like something that was slapped together in five minutes (take a little of this... Oh, yes! And some of that...)
The sheer multitude of poorly constructed stories and ideas that seem to be flying out of this website's member is astounding. Look in different places than the norm, people! A pokemon game does not, and should not have to follow the guidelines set by the precedents created by Gamefreak!

I'm rather interested in how you're going to implement the features. You know, you shouldn't list features that you're not certain you can do, as some of those seem rather advanced (online battling and downloadable content).
Also, are you planning to distribute it as an RGSS encrypted archive? If so, then you won't be able to patch the game easily; if not, you'll be open to hacking... You won't be able to distribute the patches as encrypted files, either, since RGSS can only load one encrypted archive...
Finally, links with any other game? I'm assuming you mean any other Titanium game... There's no way you'd be able to hack Nintendo's WFC to connect to D/P :P

  • Hey, have you been checking out a web site called Nsider2?
Because I have seen also an idea of a light-type eeveelution named Sacreon and another one named Sneezing, and I started to wonder if you are using ideas from other places in the web, the proof can be seen in this thread:

    http://nsider2.com/forums/Next-Generation-Pokemon-Species-Thread-t86332.html

I dont mind that you use the web for bringing up ideas, but at least give credit to those who helped you to get you inspired by their ideas.

    Anyways, good luck with this.
    Peace.

The names are actually just incredibly uninspired.

    Sacred + 'Eon' = Sacreon.
Sneezing just looks like a corrupted Sneasel and King.

You can hardly claim he stole the ideas, they're so easy to put together from two different words that claiming credit on them is just silly.

Oh, by the way, I claim Shadeon, Veneon, Steleon, etc.etc.

  • I have no clue why I revived this. Crappy game is crappy.

So, yeah, this is cancelled. Permanently. The game itself is a mess of half-implemented features which can't be played through for twenty minutes without touching the debug menu.

I may or may not use some of the content in future work. If I do, it will be revised quite a bit.

End of the line for Titanium, though; it attempted to be more than it could, having been constrained to plot framework laid long ago, which was far from ideal. Basically, the circumstances which led to its becoming the bloated monstrosity you see here were that it started development as a standard LEGENDARIES OH NOEZ fangame and attempted to become something more while not becoming totally different.

That basically led to it exploding, if you understand the metaphor.

I won't be leaving, mind you. The forums will close, but I'll stay somewhat active on other forums.

    So sad, too bad.
I look forward to your future work, but it seems like you're sad to let this idea go...
Here's for hope in the future of Crazy Weavile!
