In order to 'find' Armaldo on Ruby, you need to get a
Claw Fossil. But
before you can get the fossil, you have to have
defeated Flannery. After you defeat her, your rival will give you the
go-goggles. Then you can get the fossil. You go to
Route 111, which is
east of Lavaridge. The music will change, and there will be a sandstorm going on. The fossils are in the
upper right most area. Go there. There are two fossils. Choose one, and it will say something like, "You want the Claw/Root fossil?" And if you want that one, press A. If you don't want that one, press B.
The fossil that contains Anorith (Armaldo's pre-evolved form) should be the fossil on the right. Afer you obtain the fossil, go to Rustboro City, and go into the Devon Corporation building. There is a man on the second floor that will bring the fossil to life. Talk to every man. I believe that the one you are looking for is on the bottom-right-hand side of the room.
