Pokemon: Dark Cloud
PG-17 for violence

Plot

Forget all you know of the world of Pokemon. The Peaceful aura and the helpful nature of the Pokemon world is all but lost in the dark cloud that hangs over the land in these days. Now you will find only war and survival of the fittest. The world of Pokemon has plunged into darkness, the peace being replaced by hate and helpfulness by vengeance. Now is a time of war for the Pokemon world, for all regions and the beings living upon its surface. This is the final stand of both the human and the Pokemon species.
Long ago, when outgoing trainers would leave on their journeys to defeat the league, around the year of 2008, the world of Pokemon was peaceful. Trainers would choose the perfect Pokemon to accompany them on a wondrous journey through the many regions of the world to make new friends and train hard to defeat that in which would make them Pokemon masters.

Yes all was perfect; children and adults of all ages and sizes could guarantee a happy life! That was until one day, when a dark cloud consumed the entire earth and plunged it into an lasting darkness. A Pokemon of unknown origin appeared, its eyes cast on fire and its body black as the cloud that hovered above the earth. It sent out waves of dark power which turned all Pokemon that inhabited the earth into carnivorous beasts which would hunt all humans down to the last and dispose of them in a wave of bloodlust and then turn on each other and drive the world into an eerie silence.

Even now in the year 2015 the dark Pokemon has not been identified and the earth is still consumed by the swirling dark cloud that appeared those many years ago. Crops have been hard to grow and many parts of the earth have been thrown in to poverty. Places like Goldenrod and Safron city, the once rich cities of the regions are the only towns which haveyet to be completely destroyed by the unnatural beasts that plague the world, but alas they still suffer the curse of having to deal with rogue Pokemon which slowly dispose of human kind.

The human race have fought these wild Pokemon for 7 years now, and there still is no sign of peace returning to the world, they begin to worry that the world is doomed and that there is no hope left what so ever. Every human is asked to have possession of weapons to defend themselves, and people are not aloud out unless properly trained and aided by weapons which could destroy a Pokemon in one blow. Caves have been blocked off by huge boulders for the most part to disallow both human and Pokemon to pass beyond what they know and the seas have not been crossed for over four years because of both the ongoing storms that have taken the seas and the horrific demon's that lurk below the surface. Forests are home to mutating flying beasts and humans are advised to not tread to deeply lest they get lost in the unfamiliar surroundings, not only that but the Pokemon have doubled in strength and speed and people are now advised to travel in large groups if they are to travel to another town.

People are asked to lock all doors and keep loved ones close at heart for tomorrow they may not exist. Families cower in fear of loosing their lives as well as their loved ones and they are forced to kill all Pokemon who approach them before they themselves are attacked. Even the common Ratatta proves dangerous for its quick moves and sharp fangs can bring down a human in seconds if bitten in the right spot. Humans have even been know to have a side effect of the 'disease' the Pokemon carry; huge boils mark they're body and they fall under heavy fevers as well as being immobile for the most part. The only cities that can provide any sort of help to these unfortunate individuals are the main cities such as Saffron city and Lillycove, otherwise they are most likely to be lost within a few days, some even go mad and attack those around them like the Pokemon have been doing. Another side effect caused by the dark cloud was that a handful of people were effected in the same way as the Pokemon and will attack anything that moves, cannibalism is they're main concern and those unaffected by the cloud are advised to kill all those who they recon effected by it, but of course people are easily scared and many innocent lives have been lost in this dark time, some even lost to those that they loved.

But there was hope yet. Towards the end of 20011, there was a shimmer of hope in a small laboratory in Saffron city Kanto. They had managed to capture six Pokemon and begun the project of producing chips that would take control of the Pokemon's emotions and return them to normal, not only that but there was word from Sinnoh that some sort of a cure for the humans had been found, though they were still working on perfecting it. Many brave people had volunteered to be test rats and many have either died or been badly affected by the 'remedy' and quarantined, slowly being driven to insanity.

You see, when the dark waves produced by the dark Pokemon that appeared towards the end of 2008 consumed the Pokemon, their thoughts and feelings were not erased merely covered over by hate and bloodlust. Below the thick coverage of these negative feelings lie the Pokemon's true thoughts and feelings, all that needs to be taken away is the think shell that keeps these thoughts from shining through.

And thus started the project of creating a chip to overcome the disease that overtook the Pokemon and return them to they're normal selves. It was a challenge, and many humans were lost in the progress of this dangerous task, killed in cold blood trying to return these Pokemon's true feelings. This is the journal that has been kept since the paranormal activities began:

January 2nd 2009

The cloud has consumed the entire world and Pokemon are beginning to rid the world of human existence. It can only be the doing of the Unknown Pokemon that appeared along with the cloud upon the time of its forging. We have received reports of many attacks on humans by Pokemon who have fallen victim to the dark powers of this cloud.
We are discussing a plan which will hopefully return Pokemon to their normal composure, but at this early stage in progress we are not sure of what is causing the change in personality in the Pokemon nor are we sure of how to over come it. Hopefully in time we will devise a cunning plan to rid the world of this unnatural source.

Dr P.K Jones

January 22nd 2009

After capturing and successfully dissecting a Ratatta, we have discovered a dark liquid like substance consuming the Pokemon's brain, we are not sure of what this substance is made of, but it is the reason behind the change in personality of the Pokemon, we are sure of it. We must devise a plan that will remove this substance from the head of the infected without killing the Pokemon, unfortunately it is easier said than done and we have had to risk the lives of our work force in order to catch more test subjects.

Dr P.K Jones

February 29th 2009

We have lost many volunteers to the wild Pokemon after they bravely tried to capture these wild creatures and bring them back for experimenting. May their names go down in History for their bravery and dedication towards the project and giving their lives for the sake of the world.

David Zackary- Born 1972, Died 2009
Bethany Davied- Born 1987, Died 2009
Corry Hopkins- Born 1976, Died 2009
Lorain Hunter- Born 1969, Died 2009
Kiori Okochiro- Born 1988, Died 2009

May they rest in peace.

Dr P.K Jones

December 1st 2009

We have had no luck in producing a successful plan that will turn these Pokemon back to their normal selves. We have had many failed projects, but not one has been successful as of yet. Near a year has past and the cloud still consumes the world. Crops have failed to grow and many parts of the world have been forced into poverty, soon there will be no food left to keep the human race stable.
We have been forced to gather as much supplies as we can from abandoned houses and train those we have in our compound to wield weapons, they range from young lads of the age of 8 to seniors aged 80, as you can see we are struggling to survive as it is. We have had to relocate underground for our own safety and build hardy doors from the metal scraps that our men bring back from they're patrol, the Pokemon are growing more and more vicious and Pokemon which were not native to our surroundings are starting to appear, which can only mean that neighboring cities are suffering along with us.

Dr P.K Jones

May 19th 2010

A group of Pokemon was able to penetrate our defenses a few days ago, we have spent the past week burning all bodies left behind and rebuilding our defenses. This is not good, the Pokemon now know where we are based and it will be hard for us to seek supplies from now on, another approach is needed. The dead included many young souls who put themselves on the front line along with fellow scientists and fighters, the smell of blood is overpowering now and it is only a matter of time before we all follow the same path. They will be missed.

July 2nd 2011

Success! We have had a pang of hope in our studies, for a brief moment upon entering a chip into the brain of a chosen specimen (Pidgey); its personality was returned to one of contentment until it sadly passed away. We are verging on the path of true success; it will only be a matter of time in till we devise a working chip that will keep the Pokemon under control for a longer period of time. We found that the liquid substance in the brain is highly magnetic, though not removable because it has been completely absorbed by the brain, we have found that by making the chip magnetic we can concentrate the liquid to one point in the brain, reducing the effect of the disease! Sadly it is not a complete success, but we are working on a better solution.

Dr P.K Jones

March 7th 20012

Dr Paul K Jones sadly died today upon treating an experiment. He asked me to continue his train of thought in this journal and so I shall.

We have been able to produce a chip that has worked for a longer period of time than the first, but are still working on a complete success.

We will make Paul's experiment a success in his honor.

Dr C Nettle

August 9th 2012

The chip is still far from being a success. We have managed to stabilize the experiment Pokemon and kept it from dying, but we still cannot fully control the Pokemon. It seems that the chip is not strong enough to control the disease and the Pokemon is prone to random fits of rage where a small amount of the virus is not trapped within the device and in that small amount of time it is likely that the Pokemon will attack that which is most near to them, we cannot allow this chip to be passed just yet, we must work on a stronger device that can hold the full amount of the disease and completely reduce the risk of the Pokemon succumbing to the fits.

October 31st 2013

Our city has become a waste, a post apocalyptic waste! There is little to not food left in our supply and the river is beginning to completely dry out because of the lack of rain, it is not long before we will be forced to devour that which we fear the most, Pokemon.
August 15th 2014

We have finally created a successful chip. The experiment has remained alive now for a month or so as far as we know and has still not passed on. He has not shown violence towards me or my co-workers and after many years, we have finally found a solution.

We will now continue to capture Pokemon and insert the chips.

Dr C Nettle

December 31st 2014

We have received word of sighting of a peculiar Pokemon lurking in the deepest pits of Mount Silver in Jhoto. We have reason to believe that this is the Unknown Pokemon that we have been searching for. We are sending out volunteers to investigate along with the renewed Pokemon to keep them safe from harm.

They have been asked to keep journals of their progress through the regions and have been given weapons to defend themselves. With any hope these recruits may give us the information we need to defeat this Pokemon and return the world to its previous status.
They are our only hope, and we are surly running out of supplies.

Our prayers are with them and we wish them luck.

Dr C Nettle

Sum Up:

It is the year 2015 and you are one of the recruits mentioned in the journal to carry out this dangerous task. You will travel with your Pokemon companion in to the deepest pars of the regions and report back with any information on the dark Pokemon you may find.

Your Pokemon partners have been treated for the unusual behavior they once suffered and are now the best companions you will ever get. There is a small snag and that is the actual chip, if dislodged or destroyed the Pokemon will immediately revert back to they're carnivorous ways.

Now, battling Pokemon is not at all like it once was. Prepare yourself for gore and violence, for you will be killing these infected Pokemon if they advance upon you. You carry a weapon of your choice along with a chosen Pokemon that will attack on order, not to knock out, but to kill.
As for the setting, well there is little to nothing left and the world is rotting…fast! You are to travel through a post apocalyptic world with mutated and carnivorous Pokemon and rotting scenery, there is no knowing what you will find lurking around every corner. What appears to be quite a quiet place could in fact be the main breeding ground for a highly dangerous Pokemon. The plant life is near to non existent and there is very little water left in the world, which is of course going to prove hard, you carry a hefty amount of water in your back packs, but when that has gone, you will have to seek your own refreshment. As for food, well for now you carry rations given to you by the underground compound, but as soon as that runs out, it's hunting for you.

You are to keep a journal of your progress through the regions, then report back with any news on the unknown Pokemon and the 'dark cloud'. You carry a Pokedex which allows you to communicate with Christopher Nettle back at the base, but be wise on how you use it as power is limited for your handheld.

Name: Skylar

Age: 21

Gender: Female

Description: Skylar has mid length blood red hair and emerald green eyes. The hair is normally kept out of her eyes by the pair of dark sunglasses atop her head, unfortunately the glasses are of no proper use apart from that as they are faded and broken. Her skin is deathly pale and her eyes are shadowed by black rings, as if she has not had much sleep in the past few years. Her cheeks are high and defined, giving her a haunting look and below her bottom lip are a fair set of pointed canines. Her eyes are narrowed like that of a wolfs and her frame is very lean yet muscular due to her daily work outs and activities. Her clothing consists of a mainly black outfit which includes a pair of tight fitting black, leather trousers which are tucked into a pair of heavy black boots with silver clasps thrown across the tops to hold them to her feet, the bottoms of these boots are also silver coated but the heaviness doesn't seem to bother Skylar in the least. Her upper half is covered by a black crop top, which shows off her midriff, but is long sleeved to cover her arms. Completing the look is a long leather trench coat which also has silver clasps just in case she wishes to button the coat up, this is not long enough to reach the floor, but reached a great distance none the less.

Unfortunately her appetence isn't as grand as it is made out to be, the silver has lost its shine and is scratched in multiple places due to the harsh times and her trench coat has been ripped in multiple places, the worst being the very bottom due to it being caught on rocks and such. However Skylar is a fan of accessories and has tried her hardest to keep the dangling chains that hang from her silver bucked belt in as top as condition as she could muster. The silver cross pendant around her neck is also a family heirloom and thus is still glimmers. Another black belt holds her journal and poke ball to her backside where she can reach it without delay. Along with the book and poke ball, she carry's a small pouch that carry's key items, most of which are mechanical in order to fix the chips if something were to go wrong.

Personality: Skylar took the turn of her life when the cloud hit those many years ago. What was once a hardworking and friendly student turned into a sarcastic and heartless being. It's true, Skylar once had many friends and achieved top grades on her school work, that was until the cloud took all she knew away. What is left now is the remains of the personality that she kept hidden from everyone else. She cares not for her team mates or the leaders of they're camp and will take every opportunity to unleash a sarcastic remark upon anyone who asks for it. She likes to torture those around her by repeating what they don't want to hear (the destruction of they're homes) and will laugh at they're pain and agony. Many have tried to do the same to her in order to get her back, but every attempt fails, she has driven her family and friends to the back of her mind and thus has become hardened and uncaring in the process. She has a very pessimistic…yet optimistic view on lie, of course like most others, she doesn't think there is anyway her group is going to make it even close to mount silver, but at the same time she plans on having as much fun in her last days as remotely possible as well as killing as many Pokemon as she can.

Skylar spends the most her days helping scientists in the lab. Even though she doesn't really care for the situation she was more than willing to put her great mind into action. Her comrades have described the experience as 'like having a mad scientist controlling a very serious operation', she is completely mad, but has still kept her intelligence about her. She is strategic and was one of the people to help completely the successful chip a few years back when she first managed to sneak into the camp. She would much rather be lazing about around the camp, but soon gets board which is the main reason she volunteered to go on this journey. She found that after helping with the chip in the lab that things were only going to get more boring, why not take part in making the journey to mount silver? She also knows that if something went wrong with the Pokemon they carry that it would be up to her to try and fix the chips.

Weapon: Skylar carry's two hand guns, both of which are of the same design only one is black with silver design and the other silver with black design. The silver is called Tsume and the Black is called Kiba.

Name: Alfie 'Crayon' Smith

Age:
17

Gender: Male

Description:
About 5"9. Scrawny and pale. He wears a plain blue top and dark blue jeans which are now ripped at the knees and plain black boots. He also wears black fingerless gloves. He has short black messy hair and blue eyes. He has a dark brown bag which he keeps items in, and a black belt which he keeps a handgun and dagger on. He looks almost dead, as he has not slept properly since the cloud appeared, and even before then had insomnia. He lives of caffeine and energy drinks, so he is slightly twitchy. He wears a worn silver chain. He has a dark brown leather jacket that is well worn. He has a scar on his chin, which is hardly noticeable now his skin is almost as pale as it.

Personality:
He used to be cowardly but happy and friendly. Now he is brave, he'll kill someone if he has to. He isn't as happy, but he can have his moments when he is with people who are close to him. He doesn't talk much, he keeps himself to himself and doesn't like being in crowded places. He is very protective over people he cares about. He is also violent and blunt, he is brutally honest, and says what is on his mind. No matter what it is. He doesn't like being told what to do. He is very easily agitated. Whilst he is not suicidal, he has lost the will to live, he is willing to put his life on the line. He is paranoid about people turning their backs on him now that he has lost friends to the Pokemon, so he doesn't get to attached to people, but he can't help it.
He wants to know exactly what is going on, all the time. He hates not knowing. He was doing well at school.

Weapon: A standard black handgun and a dagger.

Pokemon:
Luxio

History:
He was born into a happy, average family, he did well in school, and loved his younger twin brothers, who treated him like he was a god. He had a few close friends, and most people liked him. He lived a good life, his parents had enough money for all five of them to live off, and were friendly, but were childish and couldn't hold their own word. They drank often, so him and his brothers had to spend a lot of time with his Grandma, who passed away a few months after his 9th birthday. His family became slightly more strict after that, but were still laid-back. When he was 10 he got attacked on the way home from school, which was when he got his scar. He took an usual liking to art, and drew pictures of Pokemon when he was bored. When he was 11 the cloud took over. He was forced out of his town by a swarm of Pokemon, him and his family ran off to Goldenrod to take shelter underground.

Other:
He got the nickname 'Crayon' because of his obsession of drawing and coloring with crayons. Also, his twin brothers could only say a few words, and because he used crayons, they related him to crayons, and not to his real name. They still call him crayon.

Name: Marcus 'Marc' Reed
Age: 21
Gender: Male♂

Description:
Since the breakout, Marcus has been the powerhouse of every group he's been in, you'll see why. The guy's enormous! Marcus easily reaches the 6'7 mark, 6'8 on a good day and with his combat boots on. His height usually tells him off whenever he's hiding, though. Aside from being very tall, Marcus has the build of a rhinoceros. He is of a broad back, with very marked trapezius muscles and shoulders. His thick deltoids and pectorals, along with thin but buffed abdominals give his torso a V shape. His legs and arms are slightly elongated, but not necessarily long compared to the rest of his body. Seriously, the man's a bodybuilding beast. Sadly, though, Marc gives up agility for strength. His skin is only of a slight tan, but nothing too noticeable. He's just white. Marc's skin too, is very rough; and it seems he's got the feel of a Carvanha. Except on his arms, that is; for those and his hands are relatively smooth. His fingernails are very well clean and groomed, and, because he dislikes being dirty, he's usually clean. Whenever he gets dirty from running and rolling around, the only thing he'll ask for is a bath.

Now, for his head! Marc's head is… Normal. An up side down egg kinda look. He's got a very well defined jaw line. He has a straight nose and thin, rosy lips which seem mistreated from the sun. His eyes are round, slightly pulled at the ends, and display a piercing hazel color which sparkles under the sun rays. He has short, light brown, straight hair which he usually keeps spiked up. Not too long ago, he had fringes that went past his eyebrow, styled to the right and giving him the stereotypical emo look. But after learning that long hair could get stuck in places and Pokémon could pull it, he now sports the aforementioned look. The shorter the better, but he is never bald. His ears are of normal size. Marcus has a couple of scars, bruises and scratches around his body, but these are usually hidden because they are found on his chest and back.

To finish off, attire. Marcus opts for dark clothing, for even though it doesn't help under heat, it looks totally awesome. He wears black, baggy pants that he always uses to carry a lot of things, namely batteries, lighters, flashlights and stuff like that. As heavy as they seem, though; they are in fact really light. Like mentioned on the first paragraph, Marcus always wears combat boots, for they allow him to kick with strength at the same time he can run and climb. He usually wears black, tight t-shirts with no symbol or writings on them. A think utility belt is found on his waist and a leather belt is tied across his chest for him to put his weapons and other things. He has a watch that has so many dials it looks like it can split a second in 10 parts and he wears a black, finger-less leather glove on his left hand, accessory needed to wield his weapon of preference. Sometimes he wears a backpack to carry stuff around, but he'd rather not. Around his neck, a black guitar pick is tied, but this is hidden under his shirt. Marc plays most musical instruments with virtuoso skills and he is a pro swimmer and basketball player.

Personality:
Marcus has a pretty predictable personality, but a nice one nevertheless. Despite the things going on with the world, Marc has always been there to give a hand to anyone that has ever needed. In fact, most of his wounds and tragic memories come from trying to help people. But it's just that he gets a jolly out of it. Given his strength, Marcus could easily fend for himself, but he enjoys company of a group and always puts people in front of him. It's just something he has never been able to change. He's got a hero and leader complex, usually taking unnecessary risks and trying to hard to impress or help. Still he know how to take orders, and given the fact he's not the brightest bulb, he doesn't mind. About that; Marcus is intelligent, yes. He is the most cold, logistic, reasonable and calculative being you will possibly stumble upon. But now he's been trained to kill, and things he learned at school have slowly become forgotten, not to say he can't think subjectively. Still, he's a nice and funny fellow. He likes to make people laugh, something which is pretty much needed in an environment like this one.

He's always down to earth, and he is very slow to anger. When pushed too far, though; he'll go berserk and he'll let the bodies his floor without any sort of remorse. At times, it may seem like he has no feelings at all, and he'll just crack skulls like twigs without even putting thought on it; whether it be Pokémon or human. He'll go far enough to the extent of being suicidal. Also, he barely get sad, and when he knows he is about to gloomy, he'd rather just shy away from everyone and be alone. He doesn't care about loneliness, after all, and he enjoys meditating by himself every once in a while. He is especially intrigued by people who seem to have a hard shell to break, though, while trying to stay friendly, he will give them space. All in all, the way you treat him is the way he'll treat you.

Marc is cheery about travelling, and though he knows the risks that are to be found, he never stutters when it comes to accomplishing. He is a man of word, one who will never break his promises, one who will never surrender, and one who never leaves things undone; and this why Marcus is a man who usually gains respect and likeness among his peers.

Weapon:

For weapons, Marcus is pretty unorthodox; and while it has proved to bring trouble in the past, his signature item and weapon of preference is: short-bow and arrow. Yes, I know, what?! Year 2015 and he's using a bow? Yes. Yes he is. Marc wields a flexible metal bow that is roughly 4 feet in length and with an unbreakable string. It is painted with unscratchable paint, though, to make it seem like it is some sort of polished oak wood. The tips of the bow have blades attached so that it can be used as a sword when in need.

Tied to his leather strap and belt, a hip holster holds arrows, right above his butt. On the bottom of the holster, there is a special kind of gluey substance developed by fellow researchers that don't allow arrows to fall, but at the same time allow for super easy removal. Each of his arrows is carefully designed to excel. Most are black plastic fletched, but he also has some with white feathers, the latter being the ones he uses on 'special occasions'. Because he is a known fighter among his peers, quest checkpoints, which usually hold ammo and rations for the humans, also have Marc's arrows ready. He can improvise arrows, too, with a knife, Pidgey or Starly feathers and rocks. But he'd rather not. The bow can be easily strapped on his back, which is the way Marcus likes to keep it; but it can also be folded in half for easy storage.

On his left shoulder, to the front, a combat knife is strapped. A very beautiful artifact, that is. It has an appealing black hilt, and the blade is so clean it is shiny. Not to say it is tremendously sharp, of course. Given the fact that his bow isn't useful in close quarter combat, his knife always comes in handy.

Last but not least, Marc's body. Yes, his own self is a weapon, of course. Because of his titan-like strength, Marc will gladly perform a rear naked choke on anything that is not from the Machop or Makuhita family. A twist from his arms and voila, a quick, painless neckbreaker. Marcus masters all forms of grappling martial arts, something which really comes in handy. Of course, though, he restrains from close combat often because he does not like being scratched or bitten. Quick reflexes do aid a lot, though.

Despite everything, Marcus is good with almost every kind of weapon, from shotguns to rifles.

Pokemon:

SUBJECT9348-7, also known as Kendall the Ponyta. Kendall is unusually big and strong for a female Ponyta, but she needs to be. I mean, no ordinary Ponyta could carry as big as Marcus, especially not when he goes pickup a fallen buddy and also put him or her on top of Ponyta. Sleek muscles and elongated legs give Kendall a graceful but powerful stance.

History:
Marc was born in Sinnoh, Twinleaf Town to be exact, to an average father and mother. None of them usually dealt with weapons, but Marcus had an uncle who was a hunter. You know, someone had to go kill the Tauros for a barbeque. His uncle, ever since Marcus was young, taught him about weapons, much to the disapproval of his parents. At a young age, his uncle was killed in a stampede, and Marcus thought he'd never wield a weapon again.

Marcus was an average kid who did pretty well at school, had a couple of friends, and lived a good life. His parents were good, punishing and rewarding him accordingly when required. Ever since he was young, too, he has been put under the practice of many, many sports. And he loved them, this being the fact that gave him the build he has today. None of his parents owned any Pokémon, and their work wasn't related to Pokémon, so Marc had to learn about them himself. He never imagined what would happen, though.

After the dark cloud appeared, Marc, his heavily aging mother and his slightly younger sister moved to Goldenrod in a rush, successfully making it across regions and through cities. There, Marcus kissed them goodbye and became a fighter for this kind of resistance against Pokémon. His father, who had divorced of his mother when he was 15, was never to be seen again, and Marcus expects him to dead. As of now, he just makes a name for himself defending nearby areas.

Name: Sahib "Scarecrow" Bihar
Age: 16
Gender: Male

Description:
Sahib is very tall. He is about six feet three inches in height, and he still isn't fully grown yet. His hair is long and falls to the edge of his shoulders. It is black and sleek, though because of his living conditions his hair is rather untidy though he tries to keep it looking nice. He has dark brown eyes that are carefully neutral. Sahib has a light mustache across his upper lip that is black as well, though not very full or thick because of his age. He is very lean and thin, and is excellent and running and agility. Though he is lean, he does have nice muscles because he knew he would need to be ready for a time like this. There is a large scar from his shoulder across his chest and down to his hip from a training accident.

As for his dress he normally just wears a pair of rather torn and ratty jeans. They aren't exactly new, but they're new enough to where they at least match up with his height. There are holes in the knees about moderate size, but they grow larger every day. There are also holes on the bottom from where he has walked. His shirt is about average sized and fits alright (it used to be huge on him when he was smaller because it was one of his father's old ones, but now it fits perfectly) but there are some holes in the sleeves and towards the bottom of the shirt. His favorite part about it is that he has a hole on each sleeve where he can stick his thumb through, and for some reason he just likes that. His shoes are simple and black, but they are so brown from dust he would have to clean them everyday to make them seem the perfect black they were when they were new.

Personality:
Sahib is a very serious guy. He doesn't take any crap from anyone, and therefore doesn't really like to be ordered around much. If he thinks something someone is doing is stupid and will get them killed, he'll inform said person of that. He isn't afraid to say what he means, but he does know when to keep his mouth shut. Sahib also rarely makes friends, but he doesn't really mind about that much. If he makes a friend though, it will take them a very, very long time to gain his full and complete trust. There are some things he wouldn't even ever tell his parents. To him, what matters most are his abilities to fight (he doesn't want to die, now does he?). Though Sahib seems strong, he is actually fairly average. Sahib is always secretly afraid of not living up to his parents, and struggles to become one of the strongest.

His nickname is the same as his mother's was when she was younger. Sahib has come to believe that it is more like his "mission name" of sorts. His mother was called his because she was known to be emotionless when in battle, and that was something that Sahib inherited from her.

Weapon: Sahib has two weapons that he holds dearly, but in reality he stores hidden weapons all over his body. The two he carries most often (and are most often seen) are the sword across his back as well as his gun. Nothing much is special about the sword, except for the hilt which is red and black (his two favorite colors). The other weapon is a gun. It is a semi-automatic pistol that he has found comes in very handy. He keeps a hostler strapped underneath his shirt, but he found a way for quick access by actually firing through his shirt if necessary. The gun is solid black and he got it from his father. On his thigh is where he keeps extra magazines for the gun. Sahib has made sure that it is small, though he is able to store about up to six in the thigh holster at once. He has other small weapons littered on his body. There is one dagger on each of his ankles, and there is a small knife strapped to his back.

Pokemon: Gabite

History:
Sahib was born and raised by both of his parents. They taught him everything he knows about weapons, and considering his father was a top assassin Sahib's pretty much got his skills under control. One time when he was thirteen, however, something went wrong with his training. His father's Pokémon went into a blind rage, and suddenly Sahib was left with a large gash across his chest and his father was lying wounded on the ground. Both survived, however his father was never able to go out and fight properly again because his leg had been so badly wounded.

Before the injury when Sahib was about 12, the cloud showed up where he lived. A swarm of dark Pokémon (along with the cloud) came through, and so Sahib and his family packed up ran away to Goldenrod and found that hiding underground would be their best bet, so they did what they had to do to survive. Since then, life hasn't been exactly great, but Sahib's hoping that he can make a difference in the long run.

I'd like to reserve a spot also! I'll have my SU up later tonight!

Name: Zypher Rainer
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Description: Zyphers hair is about neck length, and is kept back by a piece of his t-shirt that he ripped off and had to pull it back.. It has been years since he had a haircut no need for them now. The color of his hair is a dark blonde. His facial expressions were once a normal look but are now run down by frustration and stress... He has dark blue eyes, and a long scar that goes across his left eye to his nose that he recieved from a fight with a pokemon before taking shelter on that fateful day. Zypher stands at about 5'8 and is not very tall for his age, but he has an athletic build and is very athletic. His outfit includes a t-shirt that he ripped the sleves off of it is a dark blue color, and there are rips and tears all over it.. Jeans cover his legs for the most part but the left leg is torn up almost to about his knee. A black head band rest above his eyes to keep his hair out of them.

Personality: Zypher used to be a good happy go lucky guy, he was one of the nicest people you'd meet and had everything to live for.. But when the darkness came everything changed and over the years Zypher stayed to himself more, and the happiness he once showed went away all together.. He is now full of anger and hate, wanting revenge from the thing that did this. He is like this because of losing his twin brother.. If it was up to him he would charge right out of the shelter and fight dying.. He just doesnt seem to care about anything anymore. Deep down inside though he would help anyone in danger and this may be his ultimate downfall, he can't let anyone behind and tends to try to be a leader.
Weapon: A pistol, and a double edge long sword..
Pokemon: Charmeleon
History: Zypher's life was going well before the dark cloud arrived, he was attending his first year of college and he had a girlfriend things were great. He has a twin brother named Grekco, who went to another school further away. The two of them stayed very close throughout there first year of school. Although he did not keep in touch with his parents very often he talked to them once about why he didnt go on his pokemon journey when he had the chance.. He told them the reason was that he did not feel the need to fight and that one way or another thats what it would lead to. Zypher and his brother had planned a trip to take a week off of school and visit each of other in goldenrod city. Little did they no what was going to happen that day. The two of them sat at a little cafe eating lunch talking about there new lives at school when the darkness rolled over the area. All of a sudden pokemon started attacking random people and all at once him and his brother were standing face to face with a scyther. The scyther moved with blazing speed as it charged them they both dodged a few attacks but they were just not fast enough and the scyther turned to come back at Zypher.. Just as it went to slash at him his brother jumped in the way and was cut really bad, his last words to his brother were "Don't give up" and as he died in his arms all the happiness faded from him and anger took over, he grab some rocks that were lying next to him and started chucking them at the scyther, the scyther turned to him with an outraged look and charged at him, Zypher grinned as the scyther slashed his face (which is were he got the scar) the scyther started dripping blood from his mouth and looked down to see Zypher has stabbed him with a stick right in the chest... After that Zypher found the shelter and has been there ever since.. He still hopes to one day find out if his girlfriend is still alive since he has had no contact with her since then.

Name
Damien Katane
Age
23
Gender
Male

Description
Damien has been living in a black tank top, camouflage pants, and thick boots for the last couple of years. His thick, black hair is kept short so it will never hinder him or be used against him, but due to the current living conditions, is rather dirty and may stick out at odd angles. His eyes are a deep brown almost a black and have never returned to the softness that they have once held. He stands at about five foot ten inches and is very coordinated and can maintain a perfect balance from years of training. He is an extremely fast swimmer and maintains a calm demeanor in any situation. His senses seem to almost be inhuman and his reaction time only takes seconds to act. He trains almost daily and as a result has hardened muscles pulling tightly under his tanned skin. From the hairline above his left eye are three jagged scars that continue down onto his cheek that he received when he was 17 and trying to defend his parents from the horrible beasts.

Personality
After his parent's deaths, Damien had to harden his heart against the atrocity and channel all his anger into fuel for ridding the world of demented Pokemon. He suspects everyone of containing the disease so he stays away from humans and Pokemon alike besides his partner. After he left for underground safety, he fell in love with a young girl they decided they should be married. So Damien and his fiance were to wed. And when a rogue human who had been stricken with the disease infiltrated the base and wreaked havoc on the humans with an army of disfigured Pokemon. While fighting off a group of them single-handedly to save his beloved, one managed to sneak around him and bit the girl, making her one of them. Knowing what he must do, while his soon-to-be wife was lying in agony on the ground, he killed her before she could fully change, knowing it was only a matter of time before she too would be trying to kill him. After that, he struck out on his own, not letting anyone enter his heart and not trusting anyone to be able to do what he alone must do.

Weapon
Damien only favors two weapons, his submachine gun that is slung up on his back and the 12" double-edged knife that he carries in a holster on his hip. The gun he uses against opponents that are some distance away, and some of the bigger targets that aren't usually that harmed by a knife. The knife he keeps on him for close combat and is very handy for picking locks of abandoned houses and buildings. When required to capture and not to kill he carries a kit that contains a dart gun with very potent sedatives inside.

Pokemon
Zangoose

History
Before the disease, Damien lived at home, going to school, just like any other teenager. He had his heartbreaks and teenage moments. His parents loved him, and on another, and they lived as a happy family. But all that changed when rabid Pokemon started to break out. In the beggining, they thought it was just another disease that everyone was overreacting about. But when new of some of their relatives' deaths began to come pouring in, they started to take it seriously. Bolting their doors and hardly going out, they secluded themselves from society and began to use the emergency provisions that they had been collecting for some time.

Then the call for an escape to the underground was called and they packed up all of their important belongings and began to make their journey to the underground base. On their way, however, a pack of rabid Mightyena, deformed and dripping with black saliva, attacked. The Katane family fought as hard as they could for their lives, but when the dust settled, Damien was the only one left standing. Kneeling down next to his parents, fighting back wracking sobs, listened as his parents shared their love for one another and for him with their final words. Knowing that waiting around crying would only end in his ruin, he gathered up all he could carry and continued on to the Underground.

For years he trained and lived in an underground cave that housed hundreds of people who had managed to survive so far. Six years later he met a beautiful young girl, Marie. Marie and Damien where insepratable since their meeting. With their love strong and their acceptance that the other could die at any moment, they decided to elope. They sought out they appointed leader of the Underground city and asked that they be joined together. Just at that momet, however, a loud commotion at the entrance broke out and screams and growls were heard. Forgetting about their plans they rushed over to see what was happening when they saw that a band of diseased Pokemon led by a rogue (diseased) human had found the entrance and were now destroying everything in sight. Always with weapons, Damien and Marie whipped out their guns and began shooting. Surrounded by the monsters, and seeing no way out, they stood back-to-back and fought for their lives. Kicking and shooting, they managed to wipe out most of their aggressors but were dismayed when an ambush overtook them. Damien took out all that were attacking him and turned to Marie who was losing energy fast and wasn't able to free herself from the creatures. He desperately fought to save his love but was too late, for when he pulled her free, she had a deep bite mark on her neck, and she was writhing in agony. She was already turing into one of the monsters and he knew that he had to do something, or she would kill him.

---Flashback---
"Damien, I want you to promise me. If I'm infected...you need to kill me," Marie stared hard at the man she was madly in love with. He refused to meet her gaze and continued what he was doing.
"You shouldn't talk like that, Marie. I'll never let anything happen to you," he said softly, knowing just what her response would be.
"Don't you dare say that! You must promise me, you MUST!" she exclaimed, grabbing his face in her hands and forcing her to look at him. "And don't you dare blame yourself if anything happens to me. Or I'll have to come back from the dead and kick your ass!" She wasn't smiling.
---End Flashback---

Tears streaming down his face he placed her as gently as he could onto the ground, and with his back turned to the battle ranging behind him, not caring if he is attacked, took out one of his sedative darts. He could see her coiled up in pain, with her knees pulled to her chin, eyes clamped shut, and hands clenched, knuckles white. He shoved the needle into the thickest part of her thigh as gently as he could to avoid hurting her. He knew that the best place to shoot her would be the base of the head in the back, hopefully to crush her spinal chord and damage her brain. He knew what he was doing was going to be painful for her, but their was nothing he could do. And if their was a possibility that she unconciously knew what she was doing but couldn't control it, wouldn't she be devistated if her body killed him. Allowing the tears to come freely he rolled her onto her stomach, aimed, and pulled the trigger of his gun. He felt her body fall limp and instantly dropped his gun and pulled her into his arms. Rocking back and forth, with the sound of battle ringing in his ears, he slowly was overcome with shock and fell unconcious.

A year later, he received a request that he be part of an elite team to find the Unknown behind all of this and he immediately agreed. This creature is responsible for the death of everyone he has ever loved.

Name: Martin Wilde "Wild"

Age: 19

Gender: Male

Description: Martin has blond hair that he keeps cut short, it is mostly hidden under the green woolen hat the he always wears and all that remains visible is his fairly long fringe. His eyes are quite a dark blue and his nose is crooked from being broken during fighting. He measures about 5'4 and is rather slim but this does not make him at all weak.

Normally Martin wears jeans, with patches over the knees and the bottoms cut off at about ankle height, he also wears a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off to prevent them snagging on anything, these are just his quick fixes for wear and tear. Martin prefers dark colours and so normally his t-shirt will be blue, green or black. Around his waist he wears a belt that has several pockets, holding essential equipment like maps, a lighter, and some food and water.

The rest of Martins equipment including most of his food and water is kept in his back pack, which is rather battered and scratched but to Martins amazement still lives up to its duties. In case of bad weather he has a hood-less black water proof jacket. Finally Martin wears a pair of brown walking boots when he is out on missions but while he is in the safety of Goldenrod city he wears a pair of trainers for comfort.

Personality: Losing his mum and dad has kept Martin from getting close to anyone out of fear that he will lose them. The only person Martin is close to any more is Jason his brother. Martin is ruthless and cold both in combat and out of it. He has no problem with stating his mind and will always be brutally honest rather that friendly. There is little that Martin would not do to keep himself and Jason alive, although he may feel guilty about it afterwords. Working alone is the way that Martin would rather work but if it suites his agenda then he will work as part of a team. Martin is defiantly not suicidal so he doesn't take big risks often and tends to try to fight opponents at a range rather than upclose.

Weapon: Martin carries four weapons about with him at all times, they are as follows.

First Martins long range weapon of choice, an air rifle. The stock of the air rifle is wooden, the barrel is of course steel, it does not have a telescopic scope. The black paint on the barrel air rifle has became scratched over it's life but because it is not essential maintenance Martin has never repainted it. The rifle fires a single shot, it then must be reloaded by breaking it at the barrel and cocked by snapping the barrel shut again. This limits the speed at which Martin can fire, this coupled with it being the most accurate weapon that Martin has for long range shots makes it a good weapon for hunting and long range attack but hard to use at close range. He wears his air rifle on his back, beside his backpack while he is not using it.

For medium range combat Martin uses a revolver, being a hand gun rather than a rifle it allows him to move more easily which is useful when your opponent is close enough to shoot fire or anything else unpleasant at you. The revolver is plain black, holds six shots and has a swing out cylinder for quick reloading. Martin keeps at least three spare loaded moon clips on his belt at all times but normally will not have time to reload before a charging Pokemon get to him. His uses revolvers rather than semi-automatic pistols because they are easy to clean and maintain. When it is not in use Martin keeps his revolver to hand on a holster on his belt, for easy access because when under attack his revolver is the first weapon that Martin will go for.

At closer ranges, where using guns is not suitable Martin still prefers to keep his opponent at bay, this makes his weapon of choice for close ranges is a base ball bat rater than a knife. Just a plain old wooden base ball bat, used not only to smash anything that gets anywhere near Martin but to also push stuff away. His base ball bat is wooden rather than aluminum for the extra weight that he can put into his attacks. Being rather difficult to store Martin holds his base ball bat in his left hand most of the time, keeping his right hand free to do other stuff, when it is not in his left hand it is some where just with in reach of his right hand. On rare occasions when he needs to reduce the amount of weight he is carrying he will leave it with his backpack some where safe, but it will be the last piece of equipment that he levees.

Despite not liking knives for combat, Martin still finds them very useful, this is why his forth weapon is a survival knife. It has a straight blade on one side and is serrated on the other, with a black handle. Martin will use his knife in combat only when his base ball bat is not an option. Outside of battle Martin uses his knife a a tool rather than a weapon. He stores his knife on his belt alongside his revolver for quick access.

Pokemon: The Pokemon that accompanies Martin is a female Skorupi. Martin has not bothered to nickname Skorupi and the two attached to each other at all. They respect each other because they both know they could kill one another if they wanted to and they have both saved each others lives.

Skorupi is light and agile with fairly weak armor for her species. This makes her prefer to use stealth when attacking, sneaking up on an enemy, then taking them down by griping them with her tail and repeatedly stabbing them with her two front stingers until her poison takes effect.

History: Before the dark cloud Martin lived with his mum, dad and brother, Jason, in
Azalea Town. His dad was a real out doors person and used to take Martin fishing and hunting with air guns. Martins family wasn't rich but had a decent enough life. Then it happened, one day the sky went dark and the Pokemon began to act strangely, at the time it happened Martin's mum was out of the house and Martins dad went out to look for her, leaving Martin to look after his seven month old brother. When his dad returned he told Martin that he had not been able to find his mother, but later that night Martin heard his dad crying and realized that his mum must be dead.

Soon after that Martins dad took the family to Goldenrod city, before setting off he gave Martin the air gun he used for shooting and told him to go get his base ball bat. Up on their arrival at Golden rod Martins dad signed up to help out with fighting Pokemon. Martin wanted to sign up as well but his dad said that he had to stay and look after his brother. Often Martins dad would levee for weeks or months at a time, coming back with stories to tell Martin and his brother about his adventures, going out searching for their mum and fighting Pokemon. But after Jason had gone to sleep Martins dad would pour him self a drink and tell Martin the truth about what had happened.

In their third year at Goldenrod Martins dad went out on a mission, Martin remembers the day the party returned, his dad didn't come back. The leader of the group took Martin to on side and told him that his farther was dead. Martin went back over to Jason who was only three at the time and intimidate
asked "Where's daddy?". Martin told Jason that their dad had gone out on his last mission, a mission to find their mum and that he would be gone for a long time but when he found her he would come back form Martin and Jason. Jason accepted the lie but asked questions that Martin found hard to answer.

After another year looking after Jason in Goldenrod city Martin finally felt that it was time for him to sign up, all the other boys his age had already signed up. Using some of his saving Martin bought a survival knife, a revolver and some ammunition. Target practice for at least two hours a day became part of Martins routine and within a few weeks he felt he was proficient enough with his guns to use them in combat. So now ready to fight Martin signed up and told Jason that he would be leaving in a few days but that he would be back soon. Jason could just about look after himself so he told a neighbor to check in on Jason a few times a day. Since then Martin has been continually on missions often having just a few days to see Jason in between.

Other: Here is a picture of Martin. Hope you like it, it is my first scratch sprite.

Rhi-Chan: A good sign up, but I am a little concerned with your wording. Not enough to not let you particapate but because I have never RPGed with you before (I don't think) I am a little uncertain. Accepted none the less =)

Diego: Great sign up =) Never have I seen so much detail put into the weapon section of a sign up XD. Very nice and accepted =)

Mira: Hello there =D Reserved, look forward to RPing with you again ^_^

Dutchesse: Reserved also =)

Fenris: Nice, I can see your character fitting in well here. This world is nothing to be toyed about so I'm glad your character is so ruthless. Accepted.

dboring: Accepted, though like Ri-chan I am a little concerened with your wording. Make sure to use commas and full stops in forrect places and try not to jummble your words up =)

Ookami: Lovely character, a very tradition post ap hero in my oppinion =) Love the fact that your using a machine gun as well, I was expecting people to be using swords for some reason so this is a nice surprise (?) lol. Thank you and accepted of course =D

The warden: Yet another nice character and again so mch description in the weapons dept, well done. I love how people are favouring they're weapons more than anything else, which is completely understandible as they are going to be your means of surviving as well as your Pokemon =) Accepted!

And I think we can call sign ups closed now. I never expected to have completed sign ups so fast =D
Thank you all and I don't see any reason not to start this RPG soon.

If someone else wishes to join badly then I can push the amount up to 10 but be reminded that I will only accept good sign ups.

Name: Primrose (Prim) Crow
Age: 17
Gender: Femme
Description: Prim has very pale skin, although the traces of having once been a little olive-tones are still a bit evident. This is the result from not leaving the house very often, since leaving the house has become quite a dangerous thing in these circumstances. Her eyes are a grayish green, and they seem to always have a nervous look in them. Her hair is long and black and seems to permanently be in a braid. She hasn't had it cut in years so it's very long. She used to have layers, but they are now all gone. There is a shadow of them left, for there are shorter pieces around her face that seem to always escape the braid. Her hair I very thin and fine so it's not an uncommon sight to have a lot of strands out of the braid and others on their way.
Her body itself is small in every way possible. She barely reaches 5"2 and her limbs are all rather thin and small. She does have muscles, just not very visible. Her chest is nearly non-existent and her hands and feet are all rather small either. You can count her ribs from malnutrition.
Her clothing is very simple. She wears black spandex-like shorts that go mid-thigh. Over this she wears a long faded orange tank top that once had bright yellow flowers on it. Now those Hawaiian flowers have faded to a creamish yellow, but the orange looks a bit better, even though not as bright as it once was. Over that she wears a pretty long red woolen sweater. What once had been a bright red is not a bit faded. Of all her clothes, her sweater has had the worst conditions. It's the piece that she's worn longest. There are holes everywhere where it has stuck to things and is overall in a pretty bad condition. But it keeps her warm when it needs to. There is a ribbon which is currently being used as a bandage over her knee. Her shoes are simple white sneakers that aren't white anymore by far. All her clothing is pretty tattered except for the shorts. She had only recently found it after she had to look for a replacement for her jeans, which had fallen apart entirely.

Personality: Prim is a bit skittish sometimes. She jumps at an unexpected noise and she's always paranoid. She gets tense when she's in an area where things can jump at you. She likes to be in charge and she doesn't like to be vulnerable or dependant on others. She likes to be high up, mostly because she can see everything better and also because it's easy to shoot things with her bow.
Prim is also the one who does what no one else wants to. Things such as putting someone out of their misery, killing when infected. She knows what has to be done and does them. This has given her a reputation of being a bit cold blooded, but it's just her way to survive. Yes, she can most definitely be cold. But she adapted to a world where more often than not you lose people before you can really get to know them, so she had to get used to death. This also makes it that she doesn't bond with people well.

This doesn't, however, mean that she doesn't bond with people. To her agitation she does that way too well. Before everything happened she was a very social person and this stuck around. She might not like the fact that she's starting to befriend you, but she will nevertheless.
Despite her coldness and her environment, she is a surprisingly gentle person when it comes to children and Pokémon. Well it would be if they didn't want to kill her that is…
Another thing that was once there and is still there somewhere is the ability to have fun. Prim used to be known as the sunniest girl in Goldenrod and beyond. Now that has been replaced with seriousness and caution. But every once in a while she'll find something funny and giggle. Never really a laugh just a girlish giggle. These are getting rarer and rarer though.

Weapon: If there is one thing Prim hates it's guns. She won't touch one, even if it is to save herself. She thinks they are barbarian. Instead Prim trained with a bow. It's nothing special, a homemade bow with homemade arrows. Along the arrows are bird feathers that she gather all around and wood from the forest. The holster is strapped to her back, it's full of long arrows. She makes sure that whenever she loses some arrows she make more. You never know when you'll need an entire holster of arrows.

Of course, to make arrows and even a bow, you need a knife. This she has too, actually she has three. They're more daggers than knifes and she mostly uses it to work on wood. She also has a good throwing arm, so that she can do too. She is definitely a long-ranged person.

It's not that she can't go close combat, she has to be able to in order to survive. She can use her knife closed range too, she's just not very good at it. Most of her ability to not be eaten is that she shoots her targets from afar and she has a talent of getting away. She is a very good climber and she can find any opening to get away. Some of the people she lives with have nicknamed her a snake for that, she always snakes away.

Pokemon: Pidgeotto. This particular male Pidgeotto is a slight bit larger than the average one. It is a fierce fighter even though it's still quite young.

History: Once upon a time there was a Prim that was a honest hard worker and that loved people. The Prim then was a Pokémon breeder and she loved all. Once upon a time there was a Prim that cared for anybody that needed her help. This Prim had a small family, a home to come back to and faithful Pokémon to accompany her. And this Prim is long gone.

Before the unknown Pokémon came Prim lived in the outskirts of Goldenrod. She lived in a small family that loved her and she was a sunshine girl. She became a breeder, but she was too young to really go out so she worker her magic on the land that surrounded their house. She was 11 when the cloud hit.
She was going to Goldenrod very early to buy some herbs from the underground lady when it happened. She was in the Underground at the time, and fortunately there were only three Pokémon there. There was a Dunsparce, a Sunkern and a Metapod, all from the same trainer. When they started acting strange he tried to recall them to their Poké Ball, but the thing was useless. Luckily they weren't very vicious Pokémon and the people that were there helped throw them outside, no one wanted to kill them. They were smart enough to stay inside the Underground, and some other people came in panic too. There were still little more than a dozen of people. They had food through the little shops that were set up there, they had herbs for healing from the herb lady. They could even have a massage would they really want to.

There was a radio but it only worked close to the opening. So every day they would try to pick up signals and one person would go up. This way they received knowledge over the mysterious creature that was causing all this. They were also told that they had to arm themselves when they went outside and not be afraid to kill. There were a few guns down there and some knives, but Prim wouldn't touch them. After a month or so she gave in, but still wouldn't touch the guns so the young masseuse, Nathan, made her a bow, which for some reason he was pretty good at.

The next years were very tough on Prim. She loved each and every one of the people in the Underground. She also still hadn't given up on her parents yet. She found a way onto the roof of the above ground Underground building and looked over Goldenrod in search of survivors. That's how some others found their way into the Underground haven. But never did she find her family. In these years she lost many of the people that resided in their save haven. The food ran out and people want out to gather food from the above ground convenience stores, although many had already robbed them. They were forced to gather outside of the city to find the little berries and fruit that still grow. But many didn't return.

In the end it became one of Prim's tasks. She was good at running and she first made the area clear with her bow. She was also a good climber and got the highest fruit that the other people hadn't been able to reach yet. There was still not a lot of food, but it was enough. She also gathered water from buckets spread out on the roof of the building. But the people to care for slimmed fast. And there were people in need to help solve this entire situation. So Prim took the chance to join them and try do whatever she could.

((Why, thank you, Shadowfaith :D
And yeah, given the fact that I wanted Marc to be like, really big,
I imagined him carrying a Gatling gun or a grenade launcher around,
but I thought a bow was original.
As I read the Sign-up above, though, I now think otherwise. xD
Nah. Great to see a fellow Archer, that should call Marcus' attention.
But yes, I can't wait for the RP to start, this is a very cool concept and
I think that all the characters make up a rather unique team :D
By the way, I have a doubt; is this a remake of the RolePlay?
I ask because I remember I once (probably ages ago) saw a similar thread, and
I specially remember because of the mention of Rattata in the intro. But maybe
it's just me.))

I agree Diego, the team is looking like it could make the RPG rather interesting, and with the addition of Dutchess's character now, its looking as if we have covered most personalities you would tend to find in a post app world =D Dutchess, you are accepted by the way =) It's nice to see that people have put so much effort into they're sign ups and made them partially different from eachother. A skittish character would certainly fit in well to the RPG, welldone =D

And yes Diego this is a remake =) My last RPG didn't lift off because of my University work that kept pulling me down. But now that I've finished, I'm hoping this could take off like I wanted it too =)

This RP looks to awesome to pass up, please let me join!

Name: Tobias 'Toby' Krakitoff or 'Widowmaker'
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Description: Toby is shorter than your average 19 year old. He stands at about 170cm, with medium length, straight, jet-black hair. He has no facial hair and has large, blue eyes. A pair of scars slit across his left eye, a result of an attack on his family by a crazed cannibalistic pokemon. He isn't incredibly muscular, but he's definitely fit. He toned
As far as clothes go, Tobias's clothes are fully black, making him incredibly hard to see. He wears a tight fitting shirt, which is covered by a two straps of leather, which hold ammo, his trusty fragmentation grenades and pockets for carrying other items. His legs are covered by track-pants, loosely fitting. He wears a pair of black hiking boots, which are excellent for creeping silently. He wears pair of black battle gloves, which are jet-black like the rest of his clothes. Lastly, he is covered by a large black cloak, which makes him almost impossible to see in the dark.
Personality: Tobias is friendly. Well, he tries to be. Although he can come off as cold or uncaring, he is a 'nice' guy. He chooses to show no emotion, except around some who know him well. This was due to the loss of his family. People say he's emotionless, but thats because he uses a cold demeanor as a shield to protect himself.
The exception to the rule is of course, Morty. Morty is practically Tobias's 2nd dad, looking after him after the murder of his family. A mentor ever since Tobias became a trainer, Morty is Tobias's only remnant of his happy, safe life.
He's cried and spent enough time remembering, he doesn't need to cry any more.
Weapon: Tobias has numerous weapons, but can generally use most guns.
The AF7KX Rifle: A Sniper rifle with slightly longer barrel. This rifle is Toby favored weapon, the weapon he is most comfortable with. This rifle is made from a dull, light metal, with makes it useful for travelling with.
The 'Beat-stick': This is a metal rod with a semi-circular attachment on the end. This is used for a stand for the rifle, but if need be, Toby can use it to score a small hit on enemies who break through his sniper fire.
A Glock G21 Pistol: A generic semi-automatic pistol, used for enemies that get to close. This pistol also has a crudely crafted bayonet.
Fragementation Grenades: Generic green frags. Need I say more?
Pokemon: Drifloon. Since it is very passive pokemon, it was easily tamed.
History: For the first 12 years of Toby's life, life was great. He was born in Goldenrod City, his parents both working for Whitney's Grandfather as trainers at the Gym. They had both challenged numerous gyms and conquered them. The duo settled down and married, and gave birth to Tobias and 3 siblings. He trained under his parents, but, unlike the rest of his family, he had a fascination with ghost pokemon. Although his parents were disappointed, they bought him a Shuppet for his 10th birthday, and he began to train under Morty.

After his 13th birthday, the cloud settled in, and his family didn't last long. His father's Zangoose went crazy, and murdered everyone in his family, destroying the house in the process. It came to finish him last, but a swing of a nearby piece of rubble to the head knocked it unconscious. Returning it the safety of the pokeball, and burying all of the family's pokemon, including his beloved Shuppet, so they couldn't turn hurt anyone else, he grabbed all the money he could find, and ran.

Taking shelter with Morty, Toby heard about the laboratory, and decided he would do his part to help. Morty taught him how to use numerous weapons, how to fire a gun and how to survive. He would guard incoming supply wagons, armed with a pistol provided by Morty. Aged 16, he joined full time, and gave the lab the infected Zangoose to experiment upon. It died in experiment, providing valuable information.

When they were picking volunteers, Tobias was an easy pick.
Other: Toby is a vegetarian.
RP sample: Because I think I should use one, here's one from my RP, Cineris Titan Academy:
Spoiler:

Sorry its quite short, I can increase it if need be. I haven't got the time at the moment.

Name: Maxwell "Psyke" Jones
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Description:

Pokemon: Dark Cloud

Psyke stands at a decent five-foot-eleven and weighs around one hundred fifty pounds. Body wise, he has an athletic build with lean muscle. Among his traits are an anxious presence: recent events have caused him to become wary of too much contact. Psyke's midnight black hair falls down to neck level, held in place via a backward lavender baseball cap. On his body, he wears a thin black undershirt, covered by an open-zipped hooded coat the same shade as his hat. His long, baggy black pants are held up by a silver belt with his lone Poké Ball resting. On his feet are black steel-toed boots. His hands are covered by fingerless gloves, and on his arm is a band which serves as a suppressant for his psychic abilities.

Personality: Psyke is plagued with a reluctance to open himself to anyone. While this feeling toward people has existed his entire life, the recent events have served to amplify it and make in nigh-unbearable. When Psyke makes a friend, he cannot help but imagine ways to ensure his safety if the friend turned out to be less than savory. The relationship he has developed with his Kadabra has served to help out the anxiety a lot; Kadabra is the only living creature Psyke can stand being around for longer than ten minutes. They have shared perhaps a hundred battles together, and Psyke
s telepathic link allows him to communicate with the Kadabra without needing to speak, strengthening their bond.

Weapon: Psyke's primary weapon versus any target is a switchblade he keeps in his right glove. He has modified it so it fits directly under the part covering the top of his hand. It is very thin and houses a very sharp blade capable of stabbing right through a Sudowoodo. The power of the blade is even larger when one considers that Psyke uses his psychic prowess to read the mind of his opponent before choosing an attack. This deadly combination leaves any slow-minded foe in grave danger.

The secondary weapon Psyke possesses is each of his steel-toed boots. In the event his switchblade is unusable, Psyke can stomp his foot and have another switchblade appear on the toe of his boot. This knife is just as sharp as the one in his glove, though rarely used.

Pokemon:
Pokemon: Dark Cloud

Kadabra: The Kadabra owned by Psyke is an amazing specimen. In the wild, when it was first encountered by Psyke as an Abra, it already knew Psychic. The psychic abilities of Psyke and his Kadabra synchronize so that they always know what to do in a battle. Instead of going straight for the enemy, they prefer to think their way through an entire match and unleash a volley of surprises.

History: In the days long before the apocalypse, Psyke was a homeless orphan in Saffron City. As a young baby, he was abandoned by his prostitute mother to die in an alley. On the edge of death, a helpful old man found him and took him in to be raised and cared for. When he was two years of age, Psyke came across the hidden laboratory of the old man, and entered. As he waddled around, he crashed into a display, knocking it over. From the broken glass, Psyke picked up a purple stone - a prototype "psystone" invented to evolve an Eevee into an Espeon at will. The stone was highly radioactive and manipulated the cells in Psyke's cerebellum, resulting in psychic powers.

The old man eventually retured home and found the wreckage, before being lifted into the air and thrown across the room by the screaming toddler. Understanding what had happened, the old man labored for many months on a bracelet that could suppress the abilties and prevent terrible accidents from occurring. Eventually, Psyke was able to control the abilities so that they may be used for personal benefit.

When Psyke reached the age of eight, the old man's house was broken into by a local band of thieves, and the old man was killed in the process. In a last-ditch effort, Psyke took off the bracelet and unleashed chaos, killing the three criminals and putting himself in a coma for three days. When he finally awoke, he was in police custody. He snuck out of the window and began a long journey to find a purpose and a means to survive.

After two years passed, the almost eleven-year-old boy came across a trainer in the wild battling an Abra. Eventually, the trainer weakened it enough to attempt capture. Psyle witnessed the Poké Ball being thrown into the air and telepathically connected to the Abra, who could sense a Psychic presence nearby. The Poké Ball sailed through the air upon capture not into the hands of the trainer, but into the hands of Psyke. The trainer angrily rushed over to Psyke and demanded an explanation, but was knocked unconscious by a psychic blow. Psyke grabbed the man's hat and wears it to this day as a keepsake. During this time, the dark cloud first appeared over the world, and the world began it's descent into chaos.

Eventually, Psyke had journeyed across all of Kanto and had made his home in a small cave near Goldenrod City, kept alive by the constant influx of tourists who supply him with money when they are robbed with Psyke's abilities. His Kadabra is his only friend, and partner in crime. Though Psyke wished to live a happy life, things were not like they are in the movies and he had to do what he had to do. Recently, things have been a lot worse, and Psyke worries about eventually leaving Goldenrod City and discovering more about the "unknown Pokémon". He had planned to go read the mind of a scientist who might know something about the cloud, and had planned on setting out soon.

This is too interesting to pass up. Count me in

Name:
Marcus Beith
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Description: Marcus stands at a tall and gaunt 6'3'', and weighs around 150 pounds, though he is strong despite his lanky build. His face a gaunt and skeletal, and he has a pair of long, but short cropped sideburns. His dark hair is cropped brutally short, a match to his dark green eyes. His only other distinguishing features are his vampire-like eyeteeth, and his nose, which was broken twice in the past.

He wears a three-quarter length black overcoat that he tries (and usually fails) to keep clean with a white T-shirt, a pair of faded and worn jeans, and black steel-toed work boots that have metal studs welded to the toecaps. He wears a bandoleer under his overcoat which holds food and his Sneasel's often-empty poke' ball.

Personality: Marcus is plagued by an intense hatred for everyone but himself, which suited his previous occupation as a scrounger, con man, and bandit. In his eyes, the Dark Cloud was a divine act to weed out the weak and pathetic. Marcus calls himself a capitalist, and there is a ring of truth to that, as he chooses to capitalize on other people's stupidity.
Weapon: Steel-capped boots and a machete which is kept strapped against the left side of his overcoat. He has also been known to use wooden bats, but the are hard to come by.
Pokemon: Sneasel, Clyde
History: A native of Blackthorn City, Marcus, his parents, and sister were visiting relatives in Azalea Town when the cloud appeared on New Year's. Fearing what might happen, his family stayed inside while the world outside went to hell. For the day, they were at least safe until their Pokemon turned on them. Marcus, having only a baby Sneasel that his sister had given him, was able to escape by jumping out of a second story window, breaking a rib in the fall. After barely subsisting in Ilex Forest for the better part of a month, Marcus headed for Goldenrod, where his estranged Aunt was beleived to live.

In truth, his Aunt was long gone- her intense paranoia had seen her leave for the Orange Islands over three years before the Cloud appeared. Having no one left, Marcus fell in with other lost kids in the depths of Goldenrod City. As the years progressed, his leering and gaunt visiage was one other outcasts and wanderers learned to fear. As soon as he had arrived in Goldenrod, he learned that the easiest way to survive was to move from prey to predator, a mindset that he still keeps, and which he believes will prevent him from ever having a normal life.

After living quite literally on the streets, when he was fifteen he finally found a home. One of the many apartments that lined Goldenrod's skylines, this one had been heavily fortified with steel-shuttered windows and barred doors. Though unable to enter it via normal means, he found that a section of the foundation had sunk, collapsing a small section of the wall on the ground floor. Thoroughly pleased with his luck, he tore a hole in the back of a dumpster and fixed it over the hole in the wall, giving him a small, but inaccessible fortress.

Regardless, he survived, though it was a bitter existence from the start. He learned to steal and fight, and before long, it seemed that no-one wanted to mess with this strange man. When others from the Underground were selected for skills, Marcus was selected by a surface team because of his natural cunning and his ability to do dirty work and heavy lifting. He has no sense of patriotism or belief that humanity needs to be saved- rather, he only wants to create his own Underground, and sees exploration and missions as the only way to achieve that goal.
