Pokemon EX: Gold & Silver

Japan has a set coming out soon called Golden Sky, Silvery Sea, which contains the GS starter EX's (G8r, Meganium, Typh) as well as all 28 Unown (!?). Speed Deoxys was a Japanese promotional card, as were quite a few of the Deoxys cards released in EX: Deoxys.

Right now, we really don't know what will be in our set called EX: Emerald, which IS the OFFICIAL NAME of the set. It could either be the cards from the Quick Construction Packs, which were released as a semi-promotional set in Japan about a month before DX was released in America and contained almost all the broken cards in the format, including Candy and TV Rep; or it could be Golden Sky, Silvery Sea; or it could be a combination of the two. Also, POP series 2 packs are coming out soon, and we have no idea what will be in those packs.

I agree with Bullados that the next tcg set could be Emerald.

Could be and should be. But, Gold'Silver would be good after it.

EX: Emerald (suggested english name) looks cool and this is great oppertunity to get cards from Johto that haven't been out yet. I want a Miltank so bad. I hope it's good in this set.

Anywho, what I had previously posted (and it somehow dissapated), was that I did a search for the Speed Deoxys promo, and all I found was sites selling it, but no images.

I believe since in Japan this set is G/S-centered only, there will be no direct Emerald references in. However, cards like Deoxys' speed form may be inserted into the American set.

Perhaps, but I don't know. I would think that the Johto Pokemon do have a connection since there in the Emerald GBA game ><. But mostly, all the Unowns all at once will be interesting, and I hope there will be some more Ken Sugimori art too. I'm a real fan of his.

From what I've been told, there are one of two possibilities for EX: Emerald.

1: Combination of Quick Construction Packs, Emerald Tin, and random promos
2: Golden Sky, Silvery Sea.

I'd much prefer option 2, as Feraligatr ex is in that option, but we don't really know. Everything is just speculation.

With a release date of April, it might be a week or two before we get any concerete details.
