Yeah, I expected that you were thinking of Prism, but Prism was a GSC hack, meaning most stuff was done by Hex and things were done very differently, you can't do it in Advance Generation.

Couldn't you have an event that would change the offset of the characters sprite, which would then change to the offset of the team magma grunt? It sounds as though it would be difficult, but could be done.

That would not work as you can only change the offset outside of the game, you cannot change offsets through events. This means that he would have to let you be one character in Beta 1 and change him in beta 2, so you don't just beat the game all at once with a final version, you MUST play the betas.
