Squirtle's little speech at the end of the episode opened many doors for a sequel as well. Finally you can't just ignore the "To be Continued" sign at the end, If there was'nt going to be a new episode, they just would'nt have shown that message.

    Why would they make a new special for a game that does not promote D/P? Diamond and Pearl are where they are focusing their efforts into. Mystery Dungeon was already promoted, and is old news. Everyone wants to see more of D/P.
