3) The energy center created by Dialga and Palkia's clash started sucking in everything into it, and Dia attempted to dive into the hole to close it from the other side. That's when Regigigas popped out from its Pokeball to help him, and to temporary hold down the deities. However, we see that it's not as strong either, as Dialga and Palkia's further clash sent Regigigas tumbling backwards
4) Dia, Pearl and Platinum pretty much subdued Dialga and Palkia the same way they did in the magazine version by grabbing the 'imbalanced' influence of the single Red Chain on them. Cyrus simply collapsed to the ground unconscious when the deities calmed down, and we still see the fist-bump scene
5) Charon seems to be after legendary Pokemon in general, and he was hoping to snatch Regigigas as well. But his true aim at the Spear Pillar was to investigate on some numerical data about the 'energy center', which is apparently a portal to the Distortion World. He got busted, and when Byron took away his 'analyzer' and inadvertently faced it towards the still gapping hole, some synchrony occurs, causing Giratina to pop out and using its tentacles, drag Dialga, Palkia and Cyrus into the Distortion World
6) Somewhere amidst the fight, when Saque was explaining her deeds to the Commanders, Riley arrived at the Spear Pillar after tracing the aura on the video-speaker-flyer. Saque easily evaded Lucario's attacks with Starmie, and fled with the Commanders. We see that Dia, Pearl and Platinum's Dexes are still with the brain-washed Grunt, so Saque apparently possesses them now
7) During Dialga and Palkia's clash, all the dimensions in Sinnoh become interlinked. Looker actually wasn't working undercover, but was interrogating the two Scientists from Lake Valor, brough to the police station by Dr. Footstep. It's because of this dimensional distortion that when Dr. Footstep walked out of the police station, he ended up at the Spear Pillar instead and was able to interpret Regigigas's footprint. We see Bebe and Hailey, apparently their dimensions got linked up. Many characters in the series like the Contest judges, the Iron Island Steelix also make cameos to show the distortion
8) Volkner becomes intrigued about the change at the Spring Path, and decides to head towards the Battle Zone to meet up with Flint so they can work on it together
9) At the end of the DP chapter, everyone has their own mission. Dia and Pearl set off to investigate on the various legendary Pokemon documented in Charon's notebook. Platinum heads to the Frontier to find a clue on the Distortion World (which her mom, Prof. Yanase Berlitz, believed to be where her bodyguards are). The Gymleaders are sent to the hospital by Cynthia, and I suppose Regigigas remains on Dia's team
10) The Platinum chapters end at Platinum's challenge at the Battle Arcade, and Buck arrived at Stark Mountain. There is a new page showing Buck entering the room where the Magma Stone is.

4. A *slightly* altered version of the original DP magazine ending is still in this Vol., complete with a Sinnoh Trio Bro-fist. Poor Cyrus neva had a chance. BJ deal wit it.

10. Platinum arc start is pretty much the same. =w= that's all I really wanted to know. and it looks like we may get new material on the Platinum arc in Vol. 39, because this volume ended with Platinum's Battle Arcade challenge and Buck at Stark Mountain.
(It's sad that the Sinnoh Frontier brains only appear in the games, in this manga, and in another manga. Anime people, you fail me for not having them appear. :'c )
