So lets start off with locations like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, and Kalos all of are strikingly similar in geography and demographics to regions in the real world, and sometimes even officially stated to be based on certain locations. The first four regions are based on smaller regions in Japan, while Unova is based on the New York lol and Kalos is based on France it reminds me that alot of people thick that i'm from france but out i'm from india o3o nevermind about that lets get back to point and It is stated that the inspiration for Orreis Phoenix, Arizona USA.
And pellet town is bassed on Satoshi Tajiri's home town. ._.
By the way Kantō regionof Japan is not only identical in name to Kantoin the Pokémon world its also very similar geographically HAHAHA xD
If you played pokemon green,red,blue,yellow,leaf green or firered well lets look at Lt Surge i really hate him coz his weakest gym leader lol Well we can obviously tell that Lt Surge is some kind of war veteran, based on his military outfit, and the fact that he has a Lt in his name. Now, lets look at the sign board outside his gym. It says "Gym Leader: Lt Surge. The lightning AMERICAN!" I wish it said captain america lol xD
