    Hello . Welcome to browser based MMORPG Pokemon Game PokemonCraft development topic.


    The programming languages of PokemonCraft are ASP.net 4.0 , MSSQL 2008 , C#
    Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 and Microsoft MS SQL server 2008

    Game featuers

    PokemonCraft is a free browser based Pokemon Online game and it can be categorized as MMORPG

    This Pokemon Online game is the most respectfull one for the Pokemon trademark owners which are Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures Inc.

    Also this one is the hardest and most advanced Pokemon MMORPG game

    * It is being developed by a computer engineer ( who is me :) )

    * It is based on real Nintendo DS (Pokemon HG/SS, Pokemon D/P/PT) game mechanics

    * It is using Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver and Pokemon Platinum games styled maps

    * It has a very advanced pokedex page where you can find many info about game ( very advanced filtering featuers )

    * It has very advanced anti cheating and security measures (no one ever exploited game)

    * It have rock climbing, fishing with rods, surfing, flying, rock smash, headbutt, poke radar, radio and strength move features (almost fully working)

    * It has awesome market system which allows you buy and sell items, buy and sell Pokemon, trade Pokemon (very advanced filtering featuers)

    * It has awesome integrated chat system which is developed by me

    * It has awesome 392 different game useable avatars : Pokemon Pictures

    * It has awesome 174 different pokemon user sprites which can be used at the map screen



    There are also many other features

    i am not planning to shut down the game. We are also giving full support to the Pokemon trademark real owners at our main page.

    Since i began the development i learnt a lot of things. This forum also helped me.

    if you check link below you will see only generation 1 2 3
    not 4 available
    so i use generation 3 at my game :)

    So are you literally using the actual maps Nintendo made? Or are your making new maps based off of those designs?

    i am using actual maps Nintendo made.

    with version 1.2.3 update a lot of improvement at certain pages visuality.

  • Not to be a downer, but can we see some proof of progress? All this talk of maps being added is nice, but screenshots would certainly give you some credibility.

    ok i will add some screen shots today

    i cant post links so i cant post images atm

    i need some more post

    version beta 1.2.5 is online
    pewter city and pewter city gym maps added
    also now at pokemon center you can teleport to other pokemon center with cost 250 but you had to be visited that pokemon center before

    after adding some few things i will make a video .)
    but it may take 1 or 2 days

    so site was closed about last 15 hours

  • From what I can see so far, there a few problems.

    1. You titled Viridian City on your website as Cerulean City.

    and 2. There is a tile error on your viridian city map. In the middle of the map, there is a house that has been cut off with bushes. This tile error also exists on Spriters Resource; so I am assuming you just took the image itself from the website, and are using it as a map.

    Now, I also have a few questions as well.

    Are there layers to these maps? And by that, I mean: When you walk behind a building, are you walking behind it, are does the character appear to be walking on top of it?

    And my other question is if this is even tile based. For example: when you walk in the game, does the character move in a grid formation, or is it that the character can move pixel by pixel across the map?

    There are also a few other errors I spotted, but I don't want to be a crazy critic, so I'll wait and see if other people address them.

    Either way, I wish you good luck on your project, and that you finish it as well.

    damn it accidantely i made viridian city as a cerulean city thnx for warning me (i worked until morning and added maps that day)

    well you can not walk top of the building but this is caused by game maps visuality
    i select a map from serebi
    and design it with my desktop based program (developed by us)

    so i select which squares can be walked or will be water or will be water side etc
    but if you find critical tile error pls let me know

    we uses map as squares
    every square is 16*16 pixel
    so at every move game check that square
    this provides extreme reality but causes to much lag
    because for every move user has to connect server

    and final thing

    you can tell me every error you found
    but pls mark them and put here screen shots :)
