Following the Raichu Morph into the train, Zero listened very closely to what he was saying. Most of it had to do with how he ended up at the laboratory and how he became a Morph, and when he came to the part about meeting her there, he didn't really have much to say. Hmm... He assumes that I'm an artificial Morph, and he might be right. Took our future away, eh? That's true, but I think that he has a better chance of forming a future for himself than I do. Can I have a future without having a past? Hmph, it sounds like all I have is here and now....
Aloud, she murmured sadly to him, "Sounds like you've had it tough, too.... Thanks for your time, but I wish you could've told me more." She considered telling him about her amnesia, but it was something that she preferred keeping to herself, and besides, she didn't really trust him. In fact, she didn't really trust anyone. He seemed honest, and she believed his story, but she wasn't going to take any chances. Not in these dangerous times.
Before she knew it, she was being introduced to two people, one a boy and another a girl. "Zero, I'd like you to meet two friends of mine, extremly critical angry girl, otherwise known as Taylor, and curious nervous boy" Both shot Marcus a nastly look. "Oh my bad, curious nervous lad." Zero couldn't really care less who these two were, so she decided not to say anything.
"I prefer supremely critical angry girl, thanks," Taylor flashed the girl a smile. "And as long as we're going back to nick-names, I'll stick with Sparky for you, boyo. And as for curious nervous lad over there, I'll call him Twitch." Refusing to return Taylor's smile, she simply walked off and looked out the window. It didn't matter anyway because they immediately lost interest in her and started arguing about nicknames, so she blocked most of it out.
A moment later, Zero jerked her eyes toward the group in surprise as Sparky started yelling at Twitch, and it seemed like a fight might break out at any minute. What's with these guys? I thought they were friends or something, but they act more like enemies. All the more reason for me to get out of here as soon as possible....
As sudden as the hostalities started, they ended, and Kelseng, or Twitch, exited the train, though Sparky still seemed pretty riled up. Zero followed Twitch to the door, but before he got too far, there was a loud CRACK, and he flew back and hit the wall of the train. Zero jumped away from the door and ran through the train into another car. As she ran, black fur crept over her chest and down her legs and arms. When the fur reached her head, her ears grew long, and she fell to her hands as they changed into paws. To complete her transformation, a thick tail slowly grew out, and her yellow rings became much more reflective toward light. Tremors shook the train.
"It's gotta be those Royals doing this," she grumbled, sliding to a stop. "Well, they're not going to find me easy to catch off guard!" Launching a Shadow Ball through a window, she jumped through it and ran toward the sounds of gunfire, hiding in the shadows wherever she could. Up ahead, she spotted Twitch cornered by a guy with a gun.
Zero's tail twitched as she studied the situation. "Looks like he could use a hand.... or a paw. I can't let him be captured by the Royals. I know what that's like...." She trembled a little as she thought of the lab in Sinnoh.
Suddenly, the gun twisted in his hand and flew against the train, breaking into several pieces. Grinning, Zero muttered, "They don't seem to need my help after all. Well, I might as well have some fun while I can."
The girl, Taylor, sent a door flying at the two men, but the other one, a boy about Zero's age wearing a brown hoody, raised his hand and the door slowed to a stop in mid-air. An unusual-looking Alakazam appeared at his side. "I'll get the other one while he's distracted," Zero decided, using Quick Attack to close the gap. At the sound of her approach, he turned his head in her direction, but she disappeared from sight with Faint Attack, reappearing directly in front of him. He winced as she rammed her shoulder into his stomach but didn't seem to be all that injured. In that instant, Zero realized that he wasn't an ordinary opponent. She jumped back and held her breath as she tried to decide her next move.
"There's another Morph!" he called to the other man. "An Umbreon Morph!"
