We all know about the Battle Tree and Ultra Beast story-lines in the post game. But there's some other post-game content that isn't waved in front of you. Here's a few I know about.

    Battle Buffet
The trainers in the Battle Buffet now have Pokemon at the level 55, making it a great place to get exp as well as money. And you can go there once a day.

    Type: Null
If you go the Conservation Area in the Aether Paradise (specifically where you first met Lusamine), you'll see Gladion there. He will give you a Type: Null and the memories for its evolution.

    Challenge Faba
You can also challenge Faba to a battle in the Entrance area of the AP. He has a Psychic type team and all his Pokemon are at level 61. There is no prize for beating him other than being able to rub it in his smug face.

    Challenge Guzma
If you go into the house across from the hotel in Route 2, you'll see that its where Guzma lives. He'll tell you he wants a rematch at the Hau'oli City Beachfront. Beat him and he'll give you a Shiny Stone. Return to Guzma's house after you do and talk to his mother to get TM87 (Swagger).

    Eevilum Z
Go to the Royal Avenue market and talk to one of the cashiers while standing behind the counter. One of them will say he was an Eevee Specialist in his youth before he took on "the island challenge of middle age". Aside from being a source of great amusement, he'll ask you to beat all the Eeveelution Specialists in Alola. You will find them...
    Trainer School: Vaporeon Specialist
    Iki Town: Glaceon Specialist
    Hau'oli Cemitary: Umbreon Specialist
    Heahea City (hotel): Flareon Specialist
    Hanu Beach: Leafeon Specialist
Malie City (in the building next to the library): Jolteon Specialist
Blush Mountain (power plant): Espeon Specialist
Seafolk Village (Steelix boat): Sylveon Specialist
Once you've been them all, talk to the Eevee Specialist. He'll challenge you and give you Eevium Z if you win.

If anyone knows any other bits of post game content, go on and post it here.

What post game quest allows you to smack the person who left the Stufful behind in that motel room?

  • I'm not sure if this counts as post-game content or not, but if you challenge the Elite Four again, once you get to the champion room and sit down you have a chance to defend your title against a random trainer.

  • Been focusing on the Ultra Beast missions between college work so I haven't explored post game too much just yet. I'll definitely give the Battle Tree a crack once I get some free time and hopefully capture the remaining UBs. It's nice to see a variety of different activities to do during post-game, especially after X/Y's post-game which felt quite flat imo.

  • The Post game is still pretty poor. It would have been nice for them to add a beefed out post game for the 20th anniversary.

Well, that's the curse that happens with every first new-gen Pokemon game - they are always cursed with bad post-game content, while the good content is saved only for third versions, sequels and remakes.

Yeah, I felt X Y had more longevity though, the battle chateau was great for training poke for the pokedex. The equivalent battle buffet is kind of not as good.

I still want to do this, but I don't want to get steamrolled due to the higher levels of the Elite Four as well as the potential challenger. D: I'm busy grinding my team to around level 70 to prevent that from happening!

level 70 is way higher than u need to be to fight the elite four. The challengers are all low 60s/high 50s. The highest challenger you will defend against is the champion you fought to become the champ, that shirtless creep only has lvl 65 pokes( i still havent fought him again, i however have fought almost all the other 9 challengers). I was rolling a 55 salamence when i rechallenged the elite four, it was steamrolling them, though i did just get a salamencite, so that helped.

  • I'm currently trying to get people to add VIP in the Festival Plaza hehe. I'm searching for bottle caps, I quite like the concept.

as far as I'm concerned the Tapus and all those UBs are post game. I think this game has amazing post game in comparison to other gens. Ive definitely spent more time post game in s/m then other games. I mean u get like 10 challengers after you beat the elite four. They finally made sense of fighting the elite four again, instead of the same champ being there in older games when you know you've beaten his ass over and over, now u get to actually defend your tittle. Also there is a whole island to play on after you beat the elite four, i mean, thats pretty good post game content on its own.

Yes there is also the battle tree and blah blah blah, which is also great. I think this is the best set of poke games yet. They knocked these games out of the park imo.

but lvl 70's gets boring vs elite four and challengers, i loose maybe 1 poke at most against each enemy and thats usually because i want to sweep those dumb fighting pokes with my tapu koko and brave bird like a fweeb.

Does anyone else think they missed a trick by not having Po Town change in the post-game? They could have had some kind of restoration mission now that Team Skull has disbanded. It's kinda sad how Team Skull members are still hanging out there even though their boss has pretty much abandoned them.

It could have been a good excuse to fill the town with post-game content...

Also Hapu's grandmother is still telling you that Hapu has gone to the ruins even though Hapu is standing just across from her.....maybe it's just me but it feels like the region is a bit less reactionary (in terms of regular NPCs) as in other games....

Reminds me of HG/SS, where even after you beat red, falkner will tell you to challenge bugsy
