  • Okay, the formula is:

    For Boys:

Add 5 inches to your mom's height.

Add your your mom's increased height with your dad's current height.

    Divide by 2.

What you get should be close to your future adult height.

    ______________________________________________________________

    For Girls:

Subtract 5 inches from your dad's height.

Add your dad's decreased height with your mom's current height.

    Divide by 2.

What you get should be close to your future height.

Well I surpassed my Mums height at age 13 and my Dads height not long after turning 15, so I'm just going to have an educated stab in the dark and guess 6'1". I may be adopted, I don't particularly look like my parents...

I'm done growing, but that formula is surprisingly accurate. XD

    My mom = 5'1"
    My dad = 6'2"
    Me = 5'10"

My younger brother is an inch taller than me as well, so it's still pretty close. :D

Um... hmm... I'm 15 1/2, and I'm about 5'6, so I guess this is pretty accurate. Seems arbitrary though, because that would mean that brothers should be the same height. My brother probably will be about 5'10, although this formula says 5'11. xD

  • Well, I'm 19, so I'm probably more or less done... I'm only an inch away from 6 feet though, so I'd like to at least hit that. I always tell people I'm 6 feet anyway though lol.

Oddly enough, according to your formula, I should be exactly 6 feet.

It came out with 15' 65" for me. I stopped growing at 15, never grew a tiny bit since then. My actual height is 5' 4", and has been that way for the last seven years.

  • I told my friends and now they have mixed reactions like, "I'm gonna' be shorter than everybody else" or "I'm gonna' be taller than all of you!" I think scientists use this formula.

That worked somewhat for me. It's all a shot in the dark, but it works for where I am now, but I am still growing...................

  • I've stopped growing, but this is relatively accurate:

    Mother: 5'2''
    Father: 5'9''
    Predicted: 5'8''
    Actual: 5'7''

    Freaky!

  • My predicted height was 5'11," and I'm just slightly over that. Still hoping to get that extra half-inch to hit 6 feet (and I probably will, my dad stopped growing when he was 19, so I've still got that chance)

Actually, it is not very inaccurate for me.

    Dad=1.70 cm
    - 5 inches(12.7 cm)
    = 157.3

    + mom's height(165cm)
    = 322.3

    /2

    =161.15 cm

But I am already 175 cm tall (and I'm only 12 years old, which means I'll still grow taller?). I'm taller than both my mom and dad. XP

  • Mum's maybe 5 foot 6, and Dad is about 6 foot. So 5 foot 11 plus 6 foot, all divided by two, equals . . .

Five feet eleven and a half inches. Well, that formula kind of failed for me, because I'm about six foot one and only sixteen. XD
