[Other] Question About Emerald Rom?

    Lately I've been working on an Emerald ROM hack, but in AdvanceMap today, something went wrong. Now, for some reason, Route 122's map is blank and Route 121's map just isn't showing any events whatsoever. I tried exporting clean maps of Rt. 121 and 122 from an untouched emerald rom I had, but when I went to replace them, AdvanceMap's automated search returned no results for the free space I needed. (I need 4140 bytes of free space). I looked for the space in FSF, and sure enough there were a bajillion results. So when I tried repointing to offsets I manually found in FSF, the game just won't turn on. Any ideas? (I already tried expanding the rom by 32mb in winhex, but apparently that did nothing.) Thanks!
