3rd Gen R/S/E Monotype Challenge

Rules:
1. Your run is finished when you defeat the E4
2. No Hacking or Glitches!
3. Please do not use legendaries, they take the fun out of the game.
4. You may use your starter if it falls underneath your chosen type.
5.Emulators are allowed
6. First pokemon must be caught by when you leave Dewford Island. W/ the exception for electric types you may as short as possible
7. Please do not trade unlesss it is for evolutionary reasons
8. Have fun with it!
9. Multiple people may do each type at once
10. You may start once you sign up​

Thanks, but I think I can do it. I beat it with my steel Pokemon, and they were 10 levels under-leveled. Normal Types only have one weakness anyway, and I'll be able to hit ghosts by the time I face them with a move like shock wave.

With these monotype challenges, does the pokemon have to be just one type like for example just fire, water, grass, etc.? or can it be two as long as one of its types is the one you're using? for example Camerupt(ground/fire) or Skarmory(Steel/flying).

I'm pretty sure you can use a Pokemon with multiple types. When I did my steel run I used Aggron (Rock/Steel), Skarmory (Steel/flying), and Magneton (Steel/Electric) as well as Mawile.

If you are doing steel, let me warn you that Numels are very annoying. And if you do, if your doing that one on Ruby, Groudon is impossible. I had to catch it with a master ball when I did this, just to get past him.

Yeah they can be more than one, Im using Marshstomp (Water/Ground), Tentacruel (Water, Poison), Pelipper (Water,Flying), Lombre (Water,Grass)

A brief update c: I didn't have much time today so all I did was a bit of training, my team is now as follows:

Taillow lvl. 16 -- Vogel
Nincada lvl. 10 -- Schnell (will be evolving into a Ninjask to use)
Zubat lvl. 11 -- Nacht
Magikarp lvl. 10 -- Drako (again, will be evolving into a Gyarados)

I want to get Nacht up to about level 13 before I take on Brawley, even though I won't have any trouble, I do want a backup in case Vogel somehow gets taken out. x3

Whismur - Lv16

I might try to evolve them so I can beat those pesky rock Pokemon.


Edit: Beat it with a Lv 20 Linoone. I'm hoping that the fighting gym won't be as bad.

Your hoping that the gym with the type that is SUPER effective against your type wont be as bad???

The reason it was bad in the rock gym was because I couldn't do any damage. In the fighting gym that is not the case. I'm not saying that this gym will be easy, but it won't be hard for me to beat with Lv20+ Loudred and Linoone.

Update: Beat the Fighting gym on my first try, in 5 turns. Too easy.
