-Named myself Tachi, did boring beginning stuff.
-Caught a couple of Ratattas to trade for the eggs.
-Ran around to hatch the eggs, headed to Violet City.
-Swept through the Sprout Tower thanks to...well, everyone's ice type moves.
-Blitzed the gym with Spheal and Delibird

-Trading is allowed, if you want to obtain all your pokemon ASAP. I'll make sure you don't get pokemon unobtainable in your version as well.

I guess that'd mean you can trade them in as soon as you get pokeballs.

Update #1
Started the game, named myself Shadow.
Chose Piplup as starter as Trade Slave #1.
Battled an annoying battle with Rival.
Got Potion for Pokemart Assistant.
Arrived at Sandgem Town.
Received Pokedex and TM27[Return].
Found Antidote on the route below Sandgem Town.
Obtained Parcel from Rival's Mom to deliver to her "little" child.
Arrived at Sandgem Town again, traded Piplup for Shuckle.

Went to Route 202 to get taught how to catch Pokemon as well as to receive 5 Poké Balls. Sweet!
Had an epicly long battle w/ Trainer.
Arrived at Jubilife City.
Obtained VS Recorder from Looker.
Caught Bidoof as Trade Fodder #2
Traded Bidoof for Krabby. Shuckle is just too hard to train :/
