  • I'm back, and when I left shoddy lots of things changed,
no surprise, my old teams were thrashed and haven't been able to sit down in a week or so.

    Moving on, here's the team.

    Lightning [Zapdos]@choice scarf
    Pressure
    Timid Nature
    80 HP/176 Spe /252 SpA
    -Heat wave
    -Thunderbolt
    -U-Turn
    -HP Ice

I like this Zapdos as a lead, comes in and gets a good hit on most leads, U-Turn to scout Zappy counter and counter that.

    Infernape@Life Orb
    Blaze
    Naïve Nature
    24 Atk/232 Spe/252 SpA
    -Flamethrower
    -Close Combat
    -Grass Knot
    -HP Ice

Infernape is good late game when walls are taken care of, he has a good sweep available with this set.

    Blissey@Leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Calm Nature
    252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 SpD
    -Flamethrower
    -AromatherapySeismic Toss
    -Softboiled
    -Thunder Wave

Special wall Blissey, pretty standard, Flamethrower for Lucario and friends, Seismic toss because I wasn't getting much use for aromatherapy.

    Gengar@Life Orb
    Levitate
    Timid Nature
    252 Spe/252 SpA/6 HP
    -Shadow Ball
    -HP Ice
    -Focus Blast
    -Thunderbolt

Speedy special sweeper, Hypnosis puts em to sleep then hit with STAB Shadow Ball, and HP Ice for a little bolt/beam

    Hippowdon@Leftovers
    Sand Stream
    Impish Nature
    252 HP/252Def/6 atk
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang
    -Slack Off
    -Stealth Rock

Physical wall, tested this set out, really really standard, but it works really really well. Slack off is good recovery, stealth rock when I can and hit with STAB EQ or Ice Fang for SE on dragons that get locked into that silly Outrage.

    Kingdra@Life Orb
    Sniper
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/232 Spe/24 SpA
    -Outrage
    -Waterfall
    -Hydro Pump
    -Dragon Dance

Kingdra was pretty good before, but with Outrage this thing is a monster. It almost makes up for the fact that Garchomp is now an Uber.

    All help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks!

  • Add a few more detailed descriptions and you'll be all good to go. I may come back later for a rate.

  • Garchomp is now considered uber, so you're going to have to find a new sweeper. In Platinum, Scizor is now top dog in terms of Physical sweeping, but Mence now has Outrage, so he's got some major potential to sweep.

  • I'm back, and when I left shoddy lots of things changed,
no surprise, my old teams were thrashed and haven't been able to sit down in a week or so.

    Moving on, here's the team.

    Houndoom@ Focus Sash
    Early Bird
    Timid Nature
    252 Spe/252SpA/6HP
    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower
    -Counter
    -Hidden Power Ground

Found this set on Smogon, I like it, can score good hits on many common leads. Hits sicide azelf and kills with 2HKO with focus sash. Bronzong = 2HKO with flamethrower. Lucario = flamethrower = death. Tyrranitar = HP Ground = dead.
    Tyranitar=HP Ground=Not even close to a OHKO.

    Blissey@leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Bold Nature
    252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 SpD
    -Ice Beam
    -Aromatherapy
    -Softboiled
    -Thunder wave

    Blissey, good any day.
Calm is the way to go. Bold Bliss just can't wall special attackers as well, and so many new and more powerful ones just further diminishes Bold Bliss's usability.

    Garchomp@Yache Berry
    Sand veil
    Jolly Nature
    252 Spe/252Atk/6HP
    -Swords Dance
    -Outrage
    -Earthquake
    -Fire fang

Times have changed, Garchomp hasn't, I still love this guys ability to tear it up. SD first turn, proceed to pound with earthquake/outrage.

    Bronzong@Leftovers
    Levitate
    Sassy Nature
    252 HP/86 Atk/80 Def/90 SpD
    -Gyro Ball
    -Stealth rock
    -Hypnosis
    -Earthquake

Life's better the Bronzong way. Mainly here to be my wall,
If anything better's out there let me know please :).

    Weavile@ Choice Band
    Pressure
    Jolly
    216 Spe/252 Atk/40 HP
    -Pursuit
    -Ice Shard
    -Brick Break
    -Night Slash

Hello, goodbye. so said the Weavile as it came in and revenge killed.

    All help greatly appreciated!
    Thanks![/quote]

    u are mixape weak.
    and garchomps kinda uber now,
so ive always been a fan of kingdra:

    Kingdra@ life orb
    swift swim/adament

    Dragon dance
    Outrage
    Waterfall
    Hydropump/substitute
    252 Atk / 24 SpA / 232 Spe

if your looking for like a strict physical attacker, than scizor is definatly the way to go:

    Scizor @ life orb
    technician/adament

    Swords Dance
    Bullet Punch
    Brick Break/superpower
    X-scissor/roost/quick attack
    32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe

    Lightning [Zapdos]@choice scarf
    Pressure
    Timid Nature
    80 HP/176 Spe /252 SpA
    -Heat wave
    -Thunderbolt
    -U-Turn
-HP Grass/HP Ice - Still just an option, but it's great for revenging Salamence, etc. The Waters that TBolt doesn't hit aren't OHKOd by HP Grass anyway.

I like this Zapdos as a lead, comes in and gets a good hit on most leads, U-Turn to scout Zappy counter and counter that. P.S does anyone know IV's for HP Grass on Shoddy? Can't seem to find them.

    Infernape@Life Orb
    Blaze
    Naïve Nature
    24 Atk/232 Spe/252 SpA
    -Flamethrower
    -Close Combat
    -Grass Knot
    -HP Ice
Old and Standard - Not much to say.
Infernape is good late game when walls are taken care of, he has a good sweep available with this set.

    Blissey@Leftovers
    Natural Cure
    Calm Nature
    252 Def / 40 SpA / 216 SpD
    -Ice Beam/Flamethrower
    -Aromatherapy/Seismic Toss
    -Softboiled
    -Thunder Wave
Flamethrower can hit any incoming Lucario/Scizor/Heracross. You can already take most dragons with Zapdos and Gengar. Seismic toss means you can hurt Heatran.
Special wall Blissey, pretty standard, Ice Beam for dragons

    Gengar@Life Orb
    Levitate
    Timid Nature
    252 Spe/252 SpA/6 HP
    -Shadow Ball
-Hypnosis/HP Ice - Hypnosis' accuracy has dropped to 60% on Shoddy, to match the change in Platinum. HP Ice is now a very viable option, providing Bolt/Beam and Ghost/Fight.
    -Focus Blast
    -Thunderbolt

Speedy special sweeper, Hypnosis puts em to sleep then hit with STAB Shadow Ball

    Hippowdon@Leftovers
    Sand Stream
    Impish Nature
    252 HP/16 Atk/152 Def/88 Spe
    -Earthquake
    -Ice Fang
    -Slack Off
    -Stealth Rock
The set is fine, although you may want to run 252 HP/252 Def, as Salamence is hitting harder than ever.
Physical wall, tested this set out, really really standard, but it works really really well. Slack off is good recovery, stealth rock when I can and hit with STAB EQ or Ice Fang for SE on dragons that get locked into that silly Outrage.

    Kingdra@Life Orb
    Sniper
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk/232 Spe/24 SpA
    -Outrage
    -Waterfall
    -Hydro Pump
    -Dragon Dance
This is fine, although if you find Hydro Pump not working for you (it should be fine) Then substitute can stop status ruining your sweep. I'd keep this, though.
Kingdra was pretty good before, but with Outrage this thing is a monster. It almost makes up for the fact that Garchomp is now an Uber.

Yeah, not bad. I can't see any huge problems with the team. Besides, your name does seem familiar....

  • With Kingdra, you may be better off with something like Ice Beam for the extra coverage instead of Hydro Pump. That's just how I'd lean though. It's a shame it doesn't get much else to go with the Dragon Dance theme.

  • I think I'm going to end up using Substitute on Kingdra, I havent been getting much from Hydro Pump, but what I'm concerned about is LO + Sub, are there any better items?
Could try Leftovers, I see it on quite a lot of Double Dance / SubDD Kingdra. Works well, I'd say. Or you could try Lum Berry to avoid pesky status on your switch in or help when sub is down, your choice.
