who said they weren't? Maybe now with salamence gone steels can come in and dominate meta with stall tactics? im certainly not predicting the way meta is changing but he's still gonna get walled by steels anyways

Now that Salamence is gone, people don't need as many steels to wall outrages.

Also, that's what U-turn is for. Switching. Double Hit is the best move Ambipom can learn. Replacing it with Low Kick is silly.

    Flygon Choice Scarf
    Adamant Nature
    252 Atk 252 Spd 4 HP
    Dragon Claw
    Earthquake
    Fire Punch
    U-turn

    or

    Dragonite Yache Berry/Life Orb
    Adamant Nature
    252 Spd 176 HP 76 Atk
    Outrage
    Earthquake
    Fire Punch
    Roost

Which one of these would be better at being a physical sweeper on a WiFi team??

    Dragonite.

Scarf Flygon is more of a scout/revenge killer than a sweeper.

Tyranitar should never purely special, or else you're just wasting its awesome Attack stat. Mixed works well for a surprise:

    Tyranitar @Leftovers
    Quiet Nature
    252 HP / 52 Atk / 176 SpA / 28 Spd

    -Substitute
    -Focus Punch
    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower/Ice Beam/Thunderbolt

    Tyranitar @Expert Belt/Life Orb
    Naive Nature
    48 Atk / 252 SpA / 208 Spd

    -Dark Pulse
    -Flamethrower
    -Ice Beam
    -Superpower

Who said steels were common in UU? There are like four good steels in UU namely Steelix, Registeel, Aggron and the rare Magneton. And Steel usage in OU is gonna go down now with Salamence going to uber.

Its not just for steels. Its for Rocks and Cloyster too, Rhyperior and pals are really common.

May I please get some Little Cup options for a Tentacool...

    Tentacool (M) @ Oran Berry
    Ability: Liquid Ooze
    EVs: 196 HP/118 Def/196 SDef
    Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Toxic Spikes
    - Sludge Bomb
    - Surf
    - Rapid Spin

Max out sp.def and hp and rest in def.

I guess you could use a Swords Dancer too but meh. :/

Toxic Spikes is terrible in Litte Cup. There's a Croagunk or Stunky on every team. You might as well just use Toxic.

Tentacool isn't really that good anyways. If you wanted a defensive Water type, use Squirtle. It can also Rapid Spin.

I guess you're right, but they did seem kryptonite to teams that couldn't absorb them, kinda like uu. If they dont have Venu, Drapion or Toxicroak etc then the team prolly gets wasted by them since there is a heck of alot of grounded stuff there. I do agree with you though.

Should I use the scarf venu set on smogon or:

    Venusaur @ Choice Scarf
    EVs: 252 SpA/252 Spd/4 HP
    Nature: Timid
    Ability: Overgrow
    ~ Leaf Storm
    ~ Sludge Bomb
    ~ HP Rock
    ~ Sleep Powder

Also who is the best spiker in UU? Qwilfish or Omstar (lead position). I have Regirock for SR. I plan on spike stack and I want Mismag for a spinblocker, but I dunno about the set on smogon. I think I'll go for taunt > HP fight/Perish Song.

The scarf set on Smogon hasn't been updated since Raikou became BL. So use the one with HP Rock since Moltres is a huge threat.

I always liked Qwilfish as a lead Spiker since it can Taunt and Explode as well. Omastar can stand up to Ambipom better, but having slow 2 Rock types on the same team may not be the best idea.

Seeing as salamence is now uber i'm reworking my team.
And i've been toying with the idea of using heracross, his attack is pretty nice (especially with flame orb) and he has two greatstab moves, but he's really slow.

Was just wondering if a trick room team with hera as a sweeper would work?
And how i'd go about building a team around this.

No its way too fast for trick room. 295 speed really isn't slow.

Just use Swords Dance Life Orb Hera with dual screen support since nothing stops it now basically, flame orb cross sucks and dies too fast.

Who should i use to set up the dual screen?
And, if i'm using hera, what am i looking to include in the rest of my team?
    Special sweeper gengar, lead metagross.
    Is hera weak to SR?
I'd like a team that wasn't, i dont want to use my forretress lead, maybe use starmie with rapid spin?

Or maybe use an anti-lead, like machamp?

Hera is Bug/Fighting, figure it out for yourself (I'll give you a clue: IT DOESN'T RESIST NOR BE WEAK TO IT).

Azelf lead sets up Dual Screen pretty well, setting both up and getting Stealth Rocks up against most common leads. If you survive, you can usually get another set up later in the game. (b'-')b

what would be a good move set and ev spread for a blastoise and an armaldo?????

    Blastoise@Leftovers
    252 HP / 168 Def / 20 speed / 68 sp.def
    Bold Nature
    - Rapid Spin
    - Surf
    - Foresight / Roar / Toxic
    - Rest / Ice Beam

Foresight lets you Rapid Spin on ghosts which is Blastoise main selling point. Utility set.

    OR

    Blastoise@Leftovers
    252 HP / 168 Def / 20 speed / 68 sp.def
    Bold Nature
    - Rest
    - Roar
    - Surf
    - Sleep Talk

Rest Talk shuffle. Best with Spikes and Stealth Rock.

    Speed Ev's beat all Rhyperior.

    Armaldo (M) @ Lum Berry
    Ability: Battle Armor
    EVs: 92 HP/252 Atk/166 Spd
    Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - X-Scissor / Aqua Tail
    - Stone Edge
    - Stealth Rock
    - Rapid Spin

By far its most useful set in NU, as a lead (dont use it in UU, its inferior to every other rock type down there). Offensively its kinda outclassed by Rhydon/Relicanth in NU and cant perform dedicated defensively due to its SR weak and lack of recovery but as a lead it excels. Speed evs beat min speed Sandslash. Rock Blast is an option over Stone Edge to break subs from the likes of Drifblim etc.
