I would appreciate a team built around my Blaziken.

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 240 HP / 52 Def / 176 Spd / 40 SAtk
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover
    - Reflect
    - Surf

    Because Tankish Starmies are cool.

    Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP / 16 Atk / 96 Def / 60 SAtk / 96 SDef
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Curse
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Beam
    - Rest

You can make it Sassy, if you'd like.

    Blaziken (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Blaze
    EVs: 80 HP / 96 Atk / 184 Spd / 148 SAtk
    Mild Nature (+SAtk, -Def)
    - Flamethrower
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Sky Uppercut
    - Thunderpunch

For your team star, I chose the special sweeping version.

    Skarmory (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Sturdy
    EVs: 244 HP / 56 Atk / 92 Def / 20 Spd / 96 SDef
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Drill Peck
    - Roar
    - Spikes
    - Substitute

You can put the Attack into Def.

    Celebi @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 240 HP / 96 Def / 36 Spd / 136 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Heal Bell
    - Leech Seed
    - Psychic
    - Recover

This might be hard to pull off, as this team barely has any good Dugtrio coverage. HP Grass might be a good option over Leech Seed in that regard.

    Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Thick Fat
    EVs: 140 HP / 120 Atk / 136 Def / 112 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Body Slam
    - Curse
    - Rest
    - Shadow Ball

A bit of a change in EVs for me here. I took out some Atk and SDef and put it into Def.

I'll be testing it myself to make sure it gets the Umby Seal of Approval. Hopefully this should hold you for a while though.

May i have a water mono team pls. It should have a swampert, haze/roar and mirror coat. Rain dance and rapid spin may be a nice addition also.

This is for NB and hopefully, if proved good, goes in-game when diamond and pearl comes out (with a few tweaks of course).

    Thx.

    Swampert (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 240 HP / 120 Def / 56 SAtk / 96 SDef
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Counter
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Beam
    - Protect

Remember, Counter can bounce back Zapdos HP Grasses.

Ludicolo (M) @ Lum Berry / Leftovers / Petaya Berry
    Trait: Swift Swim
    EVs: 160 HP / 96 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Giga Drain / Hidden Power [Grass] / Leech Seed
    - Ice Beam
    - Rain Dance
    - Surf / Hydro Pump

    Gyarados (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 124 HP / 192 Atk / 168 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Dragon Dance
    - Earthquake
    - Hidden Power [Flying/Rock]
    - Taunt / Double-Edge / Thunder Wave / Roar

Thunder Wave might be intersting here.

    Lanturn (M) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Volt Absorb
    EVs: 40 HP / 72 Def / 108 SDef
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Ice Beam
    - Thunder / Thunderbolt
    - Thunder Wave / Toxic
    - Confuse Ray

Sorry, I was posting this in class. I'll finish Lanturn's EVs and give you two other pokemon later.

Let me try to fill those spots for you.

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 252 Spd / 252 SAtk / 4 HP
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Thunderbolt
    - Surf
    - Rapid Spin
    - Recover

    Milotic @ Leftovers
    Trait: Marvel Scale
    EVs: 212 HP / 184 Def / 92 SAtk / 20 SDef
    Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Surf
    - Toxic
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

Looks a bit too standard to me, but hey, why not... Not sure about Milo's EVs though.

Those were the two pokemon I was considering, only we would be using the cool tankish Rapid Spinning starmie:

    Starmie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Natural Cure
    EVs: 236 HP / 88 Def / 144 Spd / 40 SAtk
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Surf / Psychic
    - Recover
    - Reflect
    - Rapid Spin

Psychic could actually be decent since it's only using one move.

edit: let me fix that Milotic, btw:

    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spd
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

That's cooler for a sleep talking set.

tankish starmie?? Not the 1st thing u think about when u hear about starmie.
Wouldn't Gyrados suffer against hazers and status users without taunt?

Yeah, I agree with the Starmie-related statement. Cloyster would do better as a spinner, and spiker, too, since it's got great defense.

    Cloyster @ Leftovers
    Trait: Shell Armor
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
    Mild Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
    - Rest / Explosion
    - Surf / Ice Beam
    - Spikes
    - Rapid Spin

    Cloyster rocks as a Spikespinner.

As for the Gyarados statement, doubtful that hazers will be a problem. Few teams have (p)hazers (discounting Skarmory), and not many would bring up a status user against Gyarados. Even if they did, the free DD during the switch could prove fatal for whatever switched in anyway, unless it is a wall. But yes, Taunt is a good option. Torment could also be used to really screw your opponents up. Plus, it's a good little trick to use against other buffers. Or to allow you to predict something, like a T-Bolt, to switch to Lanturn.

Hey all, I want your expertise. That and I'm editing to cover up a death-penalty punishable crime.

Can someone give me the best Steel team EVER?

That'd be for a separate thread grace ;)

As for the starmie comment, Cloyster or Starmie could work, it's the requestor's choice. Spikes would be a nice addition, and Gyarados could make an interesting use out of Roar then.

Yes, Tankish Starmie is probably not the first thing you think of, but it's awesome and its one of the kind of unstandard things that I like to use. If you really look at it though, Starmie with Rapid Spin doesn't really sweep much, and often won't require much SAtk. Therefore you could transfer the SAtk to HP. Since speed is often a factor of sweeping, it becomes variable to your choice in EVs as well. It's just a philosophy I hold, I'm not forcing it on anyone.

I see what u mean. O.o Starmie took onli 60% damage from a fully cursed lax with reflect.
Btw, I treid it out. Lose quite badly to a ludi and skarm bliss, and once a belly drummer.
Also, Lanturn's amd Gyrados's EVs are abit out.... and Swampert cannot counter a hp grass if it gets knocked out in one hit. Cloyster also has too little hp and i sweak to fighting and rock, making it a mediocore P tank, much like a lousy Foretress.

Starmie loses naturally to Ludicolo and Blissey. That can't be helped.

Swampert Counters Modest Zapdos HP Grasses with those EVs and with a good amount of health left. I know from experience.

Cloyster is good when used correctly. Bring it in on Salamence to force a switch or Skarmory/Forretress to get rid of spikes. You aren't supposed to leave it in on Super Effective attacks ._.

    Mm...okay, I'll give it a go.

I'm looking for a well-rounded Battle Frontier team (Emerald) based around Swampert or Starmie (essentially whichever is the better of the two bulky waters for use on all 7 Frontier spots, though I'd prefer Starmie.)

If you can't cover all 7 Frontier spots, then just a team that will cover the most safely, but still based around Swampert/Starmie.

Note: Pokemon access extends to all 386 Pokemon. Not entirely important because legendaries aren't usable, but meh.

    Thanks in advance.

Legendaries are usable. Certain ones are banned.

    Starmie @ Petaya Berry
    Trait: Natural Cure
    Timid or Modest Nature
    - Surf / Psychic
    - Ice Beam / Psychic
    - Thunderbolt / Psychic
    - Recover

    Salamence @ Lum Berry
    Trait: Intimidate
    Adamant Nature
    - Dragon Dance
    - Earthquake
    - Aerial Ace
    - Rock Slide

I'd waste the last slot on either:

    Rhydon @ Leftovers
    Trait: Rock Head
    Adamant or Jolly Nature
    - Rock Slide
    - Earthquake
    - Megahorn / Double-Edge
    - Swords Dance / Counter

    or:

    Steelix @ Leftovers
    Trait: Sturdy / Rock Head
    Adamant or Impish Nature
    - Earthquake
    - Explosion / Double-Edge
    - Rock Slide
    - Iron Tail / Double-Edge
