  • Hello! My name is PokefanKIV, and this is the first I stallment of my Playthrough series! In this series, I'll have scripted what will happen before hand. However, I might not do this myself, and is just kinda a "share" and "you might be able to do it if you want" sort of thing. There *are* however some specific things/rules I am to do/follow:

    Catch All Pokémon-
I will try to catch every Pokémon possible This means that, for example, I'll have to catch multiple of each Pokémon (like three Pidgey on Route 2). I'll also catch each Pokémon as quickly as possible, and will evolve them when the wild Pokémon are around that level

    Defeat All Trainers-
I will defeat all Trainers as soon as possible, because, well, why not?

    Collect All Items-
I will collect all items, so that my Playthrough is experienced to the maximum

Ok then, now that the run's rules are explained, let's start!

Note: I will be showing my team and their moves, but will not be showing their HP and level. Similarly, I will also be showing my items, but won't tell you my healing items/Poke Balls. I will also have a certain Pokémon for training and one for catching, as this was scripted a long time ago and I don't feel like doing that. Each Party Pokemon will also have individual training, for the same reasons. Lead will be one level higher, though

Edit: I will be sharing this guide as if I was playing.

If you play this, make sure to talk about it here and comment about the run!

  • Vaniville Town, Route 1, and Aquacorde

I started up the game, selected male as my gender, named myself PokefanKIV, and started the game. After waking up and changing clothes, I talked to Mom a little and headed outside. There were two girls, one named Serena and the other Shauna. We both met each other, and they told me to go to Aquacorde town. I agreed, and off I went. Thus, my Pokémon journey started. First, I went to Route 1. Absolutely nothing happened here. I just moved on to Aquacorde Town. After arriving, I immediately went to the table with the gang, met Tierno and Trevor, chose my nickname as Star, Fennekin as my starter, got the Pokédex, got the Prof's Letter, and got told to deliver the Prof's Letter to Mom in Vaniville Town. I wasn't sure what Starter pick at first, but I decided on Fennekin because of its matchup against Viola, rather than Froakie, who did neutral damage her, and Chespin, who was weak to her. I knew that Grant would pose a problem, but decided that I could just easily add a Grass or Water Pokémon to my team later on. Before I left, I battled Shauna and her lvl 5 Chespin. Since I had Fennekin, it was easy, and I got my ¥500 for winning. After that I went back to Vaniville Town, gave Mom Prof's Letter in exchange for a Town Map, a Potion, and extra clothes, and I went back to Aquacorde. There I picked up some things from the markets, got a free Potion from a Shopkeeper, and got 30 photos at the photo thing. These photos will be needed to get some items in Lumiose City. Then, I headed onwards towards Route 2

    Team: Fennekin (only Pokémon)
Items: Pokédex, Town Map, Holo Caster

  • Route 2 and Santalune Forest

After heading onto Route 2, I ran into a patch of grass, encountering a Pidgey but quickly defeating it, then headed to Serena teaching Shauna how to catch Pokémon. After she caught a Bunnelby, she gave me 10 Poke Balls and I quickly forged onward on a catching spree. I caught three Caterpie, three Pidgey, two Zigzagoon, three Bunnelby, and three Scatterbug, then proceeded onward. However, Youngster Austin, a random Trainer, wanted a battle, and I quickly accepted. I defeated his Zigazagoon, collected my ¥120, and headed onwards toward Santalune Forest. Once I went in, I knew that this was the first real stop in my journey. I went searching for items, Pokemon, and Trainer battles, and I got an Antidote, three Potions, a Paralyze Heal, and two Poke Balls, caught three Weedle, two Pikachu, two Pansage, two Pansear, and two Panpour, and battled Youngster Joey, Lass Anna, and Lass Lise, netting me ¥294. After meeting up with the gang, we all headed to Santalune City, the location of the Bug gym Leader, Viola…
However, first, I must share my Party, and the level goal: Fennekin, Pikachu, Zigzagoon, Pansage, Fletchling, and Weedle, all with a level goal of 5. I chose Fennekin because it's my Starter, Pikachu because of its Electric type, access to Thunder Wave, and Static ability, Zigzagoon thanks to its Pickup ability and it's evolution's access to Belly Drum, Pansage for its type coverage with Fennekin, Pidgey for its Flying type, and Weedle for its low-level final evolution and that Pokemon's type

Team: Fennekin, Pikachu, Zigzagoon, Pansage, Fletchling, Weedle
Items: Pokedex, Town Map, Holo Caster, Adventure Rules

  • Route 3, Santalune City, and Route 22

After heading out of Santalune Forest, me and the gang went onto Route 3. After discussing our plans in the upcoming Santalune City, Serene gave me the Adventure Rules and I was free to do as I pleased. After obtaining a Super Potion, catching a Dunsparce, three Azurill, two Bidoof, and three Burmy, defeating Preschooler Oliver, Schoolgirl Ella, and Schoolboy Brighton (all of which net me ¥442), I headed to Santalune City. There are many things here, but I'll share places of interest and items/Pokémon I obtain. First off, there's a Poke Mart that sells Poke Balls (¥200), Potions (¥300), X Speeds (¥350), X Attacks (¥500), X Defenses (¥550), Guard Specs. (¥700), Dire Hits (¥650), X Accuracies (¥950), X Sp. Atks (¥350), and X Sp. Def (¥350). Right now, I think it's wise to buy a few Potions and Poke Balls for if your HP gets low or you need to catch Pokémon, and an X Sp. Atk, as you can't OHKO Viola's Surskit and every time I've faced her, her Surskit uses Water Sport, nerfing my Fennekin to a degree. You can use the X Sp. Atk turn one when it does this, so it doesn't nerf you as much. I also found/was gifted two Great Balls, an Antidote, a Super Potion, three X Attacks, and three X Defenses, as well as traded a guy one of my three Bunnelbies for his Farfetch'd that has perfect Speed IVs, which is getting added to the Party. Before heading to Route 22 to train and catch Pokémon, make sure to battle Roller Skater Rinka for EXP and the ¥224 and Roller Skates she gives out upon being defeated. Once you arrive in Route 22, you should find and obtain the Super Potion, catch two Psyduck, two Riolu, and two Litleo, and battle and defeat Rising Star Louise, Lass Elin, Rising Star Loïc, Schoolboy Rabbie, Schoolgirl Mackenzie, and Lass Elsa (netting you a total of ¥1,792). Now, after training your Party(which should consist of Fennekin, Farfetch'd, Zigzagoon, Pansage, Bidoof, Riolu) to lvl 12, except for Riolu, which goes to lvl 11, you're almost ready to defeat Viola! However, there are a few things to do first. You should evolve two Caterpies, two Weedles, and two Scatterbugs into Metapod and Butterfree, Kakuna and Beedrill, and Spewpa and Vivillon, respectively, now that that level is acquired. With that, you now have powerful attackers! You should also evolve two of your Azurills into Marill and use that one extra level for your Party Riolu to evolve it into Lucario. You can do this by using Pokemon Amie, if you're patient enough, then evolve them! That way you have a fine, Huge Power Marill and strong Lucario really early on! Now, it's time to take on Viola! After defeating Youngster David, Youngster Zachary, and Lass Charlotte (netting you ¥696 total), it's time to take on Viola! After using the X Sp. Atk on Water Sport strategy, it should be a breeze, netting you ¥1,920, the Bug Badge, and the Infestation TM! After that is the right time to head to Route 4, picking up the Exp. Share along the way. With that, the journey continues on…

Party: Fennekin (Starter, strong Fire type), Farfetch'd (good early-game Flying type, max Speed IVs), Zigzagoon (has access to Pickup, backup HM slave), Bidoof (strong in its own right, has Unaware, is the perfect HM slave), Pansage (good Grass typing, can have access to strong evolution since Lumiose City), Lucario (really strong Fighting and Steel type)
Items: Pokédex, Town Map, Holo Caster, Adventure Rules, X Attack, X Defense, Roller Skates

  • Route 4 and Lumiose City

There isn't really any storyline plots in Route 4, besides Dexio and Sina at the end, escorting you to Lumiose City and giving you the Return TM (which I taught Lucario as it's a strong move for max friendship Pokémon). However, there are a lot of items, Pokémon, and Trainers here. I found and collected a Repel, three Honeys, two Super Potions, a Great Ball, an Antidote, a Poison Barb, a Net Ball, and an Ether. I caught two Ledyba, four Ralts, two Skitty, three Budew, two Combee (one of which female), and three Flabébé. I battled and won against Gardener Wheaton, Roller Skater Rolland, Roller Skater Calida, Poke Fan Agnes, Preschooler Mia, Preschooler Adrian, Poke Fan Gabe, Gardener Fabian, and Gardener Grover, netting you ¥4,208 total. Don't spend it all yet, though; you'll need ¥6,300 for Lumiose City. But before I moved on, there were some stuff I had to take care of. First, I leveled my Party to lvl 15, evolving Bidoof in the process. I also evolved two of the new Budew via friendship. I then headed to Lumiose City. First I went to the Stone Emporium to buy a Leaf Stone, a Water Stone, and a Fire Stone, all of which to evolve one of your Pansages, Pansears, and Panpours, respectively. Then, I headed to Sycamore Pokémon Lab, and go to the second floor. There, if you talk to a couple of people, you'll be able to get five Luxury Balls and the False Swipe TM. Then I went to the third floor to battle Professor Sycamore (of which I got ¥1,400) and get one of the Kanto Starters. Now, while a difficult choice, I decided on Bulbasaur. Charmander was definitely out of the question, as the next Gym was a Rock one and my Starter was already a Fire type, and Squirtle was close, but rejected to die it not having access to all the cheesy status condition-inflicting moves Bulbasaur had. But on I continued with item grinding. In the building across the Shutterbug Cafe, I got three
Quick Balls, three Timer Balls, and a Quick Claw. In the PR Video Studio, I got a reel and a Lens Case. At the Shutterbug Cafe, I got a Wide Lens, a Scope Lens, and a Zoom Lens. This is where the photos in Aquacorde come in. After some plot points, I headed to Route 5, where my journey continued…

Party: Fennekin (strong Fire type Pokemon), Bulbasaur (cheesy status-inflicting Grass type demon), Farfetch'd (Flying type perfect Speed IV False Swiper), Zigzagoon (Pickupper and backup HM slave), Bibarel (Water type HM Slave), Lucario (strong Fighting and Steel type)
Items: Pokédex, Town Map, Holo Caster, Adventure Rules, three X Attacks, three X Defenses, a Poison Barb, a Quick Claw, a Lens Case, a Wide Lens, a Scope Lens, a Zoom Lens

  • Route 5, Camphrier Town, Route 6, and Parfum Palace

After entering the Route and having a brief conversation with Korrina, I headed off to another point where Tierno and Trevor were waiting. After battling Tierno (netting me ¥1,200), I unlock Horde Battles, which are needed to catch some Pokémon. Thus, my "chore spree" for Route 5. I found a Paralyze Heal, three Super Potions, a Great Ball, three Honey, an Oran Berry, the Hone Claws TM, an X Attack. I caught three Abra, two Doduo, a Plusle, a Minun, two Gulpin, two Skiddo, two Pancham, a Furfrou, and two Scraggy. I battled Twins Faith & Joy, Rising Star Hamish, Roller Skater Winnie, Roller Skater Florin, Rising Star Tyson, Backpacker Heike, and Youngster Keita, netting me ¥3232. Now, you might've noticed me noting how much money I got. Well, that's because money might be important in this run, like we're eventually going back to Luminara City's Pokémon Center to pay a whopping ¥130,000 for just five TMs. That's how expensive this run is. I'm going to keep track of the money, and, although I'm not playing yet, "buy" as much as I can before challenging the Pokémon League. Now that I'm done with my "chores", it's time to level the party up to level 20! Now, you're probably thinking that you're over leveling. And that's probably true. But this isn't a Nuzlocke with all those over leveling rules, so it's fine. Also, Fennekin, Bulbasaur, and Zigzagoon all evolve to Braixen, Ivysaur, and Linoone, respectively! I also immediately evolved two Abra into Kadabra, two Fletchling into Fletchinder, two Pidgey into Pidgeotto, a Ledyba into Ledian, a Marill into Azumarill, two Flabébé into Floette, three Ralts into Kirlia, and a Bunnelby into Diggersby. I'm also going to be replacing Linoone with Kirlia, as it's not that much needed anymore and Gardevoir is a strong ally. Same with Bibarel, as there's other HM slave options and Azumarill's a much better Water type. Welcome to the squad! After clearing that, I headed to Camphrier Town. Here, there are a lot of interesting items to collect, according to StrategyWiki. I went to Cassius's house to get the Thief TM, and talked to Cassius, mentioning him in the PC, I got a Full Heal and the Sp. Atk O-Power in the hotel, I got a berry from a man who gives out berries, a Sweet Heart from a maid, an Ultra Ball from a man, a Berry Juice from a girl, and found myself a Star Piece, an Ether, an X Attack, and an Antidote. Moving on, I went to Parfum Palace to get a Flute to get a Snorlax to move. On the way was Route 6, but I'll just combine the two. Luckily, there's also items, Pokemon, and Trainers here, so it'll be nice! After paying an entrance fee and starting the storyline with the Furfrou, I went and did my "chores". I got two X Sp. Atks, three Antidotes, a Super Repel, an Awakening, an Aguav Berry, an Ultra Ball, an X Speed, a Tiny Mushroom, the TM for Venoshock, an Oran Berry, an Ether, an Amulet Coin, a Revive, a Pretty Wing, a Super Potion, a Rare Candy, a Guard Spec., and a Paralyze Heal. I caught four Oddish, two Sentret (one immediately evolved), two Nincada (one immediately evolved), a Kecleon, two Espurr, three Honedge, an Audino, and three Venipede. I battled Tourist Hiroko, Tourist Eriko, Poke Fan Family Jan & Erin, Beauty Brigitte, Youngster Tyler, Backpacker Roderick, Backpacker Jerome, Tourist Mari, Youngster Jacob, Tourist Takemi, netting me a total of ¥8,698. I also finally got the HM for Cut, and after teaching it to Braixen, I'm ready to do a little backtracking. Really I just went to Route 3 for a Revive and to Route 5 for a Sharp Beak and a battle with Youngster Anthony (I got ¥240). After "saving" the Furfrou, I was rewarded with fireworks and the TM for Protect. I also got the Poke Flute, and I was ready for the next part of my adventure!

Party: Braixen, Ivysaur, Farfetch'd, Azumarill, Kirlia, Lucario
Items: Pokédex, Town Map, Holo Caster, Adventure Rules, five X Attacks, three X Defenses, a Poison Barb, a Quick Claw, a Lens Case, a Wide Lens, a Scope Lens, a Zoom Lens, three X Sp. Atks, an X Speed, an Amulet Coin, a Guard Spec.
