A clever joke? Hm ...
On her way to work, a scientist spotted a strange thing on the sidewalk. She asked a stranger what it was, and they insisted it was a normal trash can. After days of seeing it move up and down the street and in random and sometimes obtrusive spots, she desperately needed to know what the item truly was.
She interviewed several people of various backgrounds about how they viewed the object:
An old lady said, "my, who vomited up such a horrid thing?"
A rich man said, "oh, it seems to be dirty old rag ... maybe the vagabonds use it as a toilet?"
A child said, "I don't think I've seen an uglier and mopier monster in my whole life long!"
Everybody the scientist met gave her vague, consistently different accounts about the object; though all they seemed to agree that it was putrid, vile, and that it ought to be taken away and burned. Hopeless, the scientist was just about to walk off when another man passed her and spoke at the mysterious item ...
Okay, so, here's what I'm gonna do for that Darkrai:
