    A lot of the RP's coming up here are dying before they even start, hopefully it won't be the case for this one. This is also my first RP on this site, so please bear with me people ;)

    -------And now for the stuff you care about----------------------------------------------

    The storyline takes place on the SS Anne, the famous Cruise liner for trainers that sails out of Vermilion. Everyone knows about this high-scale ship and the amazing trainers that set sail on it, but what they don't talk about is what goes on behind the scenes of this vessel.

    You or your family members are workers on the ship (or if they aren't, there must be some other way that they are permanently there and not guests like the trainers). You or your parents/relatives can be entertainers, chefs, sailors, custodians or other crew members. If not, just find some other way to put yourself on the ship for a very extended period of time. The ship will be stopping periodically, docking in Vermilion once a year but going to many other cities as well, visiting some of them multiple times each year. The stops include beaches, resorts and other cities such as Vermilion as well, cities that are well-known and others that are not. While the stops are usually to host parties for the trainers on board, the workers sometimes will take advantage of them and venture out for some fresh air as well. There is one destination in particular that is rumored to exist although it has never been proven by a trainer before, a part which will be revealed later as the story has developed more.

    Rules/Reminders:
    -I LOVE creativity, anything wild and out-there is fine, just make sure that it's original
    -No short posts, they're the bane of my existence. If you don't have much time now, post later.
    -Please take time to spell correctly, or at least so that it's legible. I type my posts out on a Word Doc first usually to make sure it's correct.
    -Take it slow and don't be a know-it all. In other words: God-modders will be killed.
    -Have fun! (of course, it's a rule too cliché to do without.)

    Sign Up:

    Name: First and last are good, put in Nicknames, Middle names, anything you want.
    Age: I won't set up limits but just keep it in teenage area.
    Description: Pictures are ok, try and describe any differences (if there are any) between the picture and your character.
    History: Describe your character's past, how they were raised, how their past has impacted them now, anything that you think would be important for us to know about your character that would effect them in the RP.
    Personality: Try not to be too broad, describe little quirks and things such as those.
    Pokemon: Generally keep them on the small side at this stage, I'm just saying that because I'd rather we all start out around the same pace. Also absolutely NO pokemon from Pearl/Diamond, the games HAVENT come out yet and we don't know everything about these pokemon, and they will not be used or mentioned unless the games come out. Also, you can add a creative twist on your pokemon (like different colored ones or ones with different attributes), but no combination pokemon or pokemon that aren't official. Feel free to describe their personalities/natures and give them names and characteristics as well.
    RP Sample: You know what to do with this. Give me a good example; it's all I have to go off of when judging you. Don't post a four line example and then complain about why you didn't get accepted.

    -----Without Further Ado-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Name: Bria Annek
    Age: 14, born November 7th
    Description: Bria is just above 5', with a thin, curveless body. A wedge-shape is what her torso looks like, she has wide shoulders but the rest of her body slopes in and then goes down in a thin line. Her legs are long and very thin as well; her knobby knees stick out a bit. Bria's arms and elbows are the same. She sports curly black hair that is cut short and falls just past her ears but somehow still manages to get in her face and block her vision constantly. When looking at her, it is apparent that she could look better should she grow her hair out to a normal length, as it is fairly unique and handsome despite how poorly it is kept by Bria. Behind her pesky hair, however is a pair of dark brown, almost black eyes. Only in bright sunlight is it possible to see that they are indeed a deep brown color instead of something similar to one giant pupil.

    The clothes Bria normally wears are happy, pastel colors. Typically she is seen in jeans of some sort and a bright colored shirt, perhaps with matching jewelry or hair accessories. She disdains shoes, and avoids wearing them whenever possible. During a show, Bria wears a form-fitting outfit, complete with rinestones adorning the ¾ sleeves and neck area. It is a powder-blue color at the middle, and slowly darkens at either end to eventually reach a royal blue at each end. Her brother's is a matching version, except it is only pants down to his knees.

    History: Her two parents Lily and Alexander Annek, are entertainers on the SS Anne as are Bria and her perfect and handsome older brother Jayden. Lily and Alex are dancers while Bria and Jay perform in acrobatic acts. Ever since they were young, the two have been trained for their roles on the ship by Sal, a short, exotic-looking man from Johto who is also skilled in gymnastics. While Bria has always been dedicated to her work as a performer, she has developed a love for pokemon as well simply by being around pokemon so often on the cruise ship.

    Personality: Contrary to her benevolent brother, Bria is known as someone who always seems cross. Her eyes are set in a way that she seems to always be glaring at people, even when she doesn't mean to. Because of this people normally avoid her and the negative aura surrounding her, causing Bria to be somewhat withdrawn. However, this doesn't matter much because she is very familiar with the crew members that are associated with her and doesn't speak very much to the guests. The people she talks to have known her since she was a baby, and while at times being around mostly adults is lonely for her.

    The people that manage to get past this tough exterior are met with a kind and thoughtful friend, after Bria gets used to the new person that is. She is easily cast off when in a group of new people, characters such as her brother Jayden are much more outgoing and Bria will often slip away and be forgotten. Her kind, anonymous gestures do show who she truly is deep at heart even when she is too shy to express her feelings normally.

    Pokemon:

    SS Anne

    Poliwag, Male.
    Bria received this pokemon from a fisherman on board who caught it as a weakling and gave it to her to be rid of it. Poliwag is her strongest and her first pokemon, and they have had a deep bond from the moment they met. Since then, Bria has trained her Poliwag so that he is formidable in battle, and is her companion onboard. Like Bria, Poliwag is quiet and observant but also responsive and considerate.

    SS Anne

    Spinarak- Narik, Female
    Bria found Narik on board in a storage room and captured her using Poliwag. Unlike Bria and Poliwag, Narik the Spinarak is very sociable and curious; the latter trait being one that often gets this tiny pokemon into trouble. Narik is different than other Spinarak (a fact unknown to Bria who has never seen another one as they are considerered relatively weak by the kinds of people who go on the SS Anne), Narik has a purple tinge to her exoskeleton. Despite their differences, Bria treasures Narik as well as her Poliwag.

    Name: Jason Braodwell

    Age: 15

    Description: : Jason stands at 5'9 and has an athletic build due to his constant training with his water Pokémon and his love of water sports. He is slightly tanned and has brown spiky hair. His eyes are Sapphire Blue. He wears a black polo with navy blue cargo pants that are baggy and wears black sneakers. He also wears a Yin-Yang necklace.

    History: The Broadwell family was known for quite a while back when they owned a gym. His older sister was the gym leader and the gym was known to use Pokémon of the Water/Ice type. This was how Jason was influenced and loved these type of Pokémon. He always had enjoyed spending time with the Pokémon and learning about them once his sister was done battling for the day. Unfortunately, over time his parents had died in a plane crash, and a little while later sister had married someone and moved on with her life abandoning her gym leader commitment. He then lived with his grandmother. At the time Jason was still only nine years old and was too young to carry on as gym leader and this really upset him. And because of this the gym was left abandoned and was closed. The next 2 years, when he turned 11, he set out to be the best Water/Ice Pokémon trainer and eventually follow his family's footsteps and become a gym leader. He now works on the S.S. Anne as one of the sailors. He decided this would help him train to become a great Gym Leader, later on.

    Personality: Jason is reserved and modest, and can be arrogant at times. He is also very smart and has quite an amount of wit. When it comes to battles, he is always focused and determined to win. Even though he only trains a specific type of Pokémon, he trains his Pokémon really well to be hard to defeat even against Pokémon that are strong against his type. If he loses, he brushes it off coolly and congratulates & thanks his opponent for a great match. His arrogance can sometimes inflate the big "ego" of his but he is only joking when he is in this mood and is pretty "down-to-earth." He also does a good job at hiding his emotions which can be a good thing and a bad thing. He is very friendly however, once he is comfortable with a person and gains his/her trust.

    Pokemon:

    Squirtle, Male - The first Pokemon Jason had recieved from Professor Oak. At first Squirtle didn't like Jason at all and didn't trust him either. Squirtle enjoyed taunting Jason but when Squirtle had been attacked by a few Rattata, Squirtle nearly fainted. Jason rescued Squirtle and shooed all the wild Rattata away, bringing Squirtle to nearest Pokemon Center. This action from Jason had changed Squirtle's view on Jason and had trusted him and was happy with his new trainer because of this.

    Staryu, (no gender) - Jason's second Pokemon to have come into his party. Jason had seen a group of Staryu floating above a nearby seashore. Jason loved Staryu, they were one of his favorite Pokemon. Also, because it was a water-type that could evolve into a strong water/psychic type, Starmie. Jason had called out his only Pokemon, Squirtle to battle it. Staryu was not that hard to weaken, its just the other Staryu that tried to protect it was what made the battle even harder. Once Jason had finally caught Staryu he trained it real well along with his Squirtle, to make them both equally strong Pokemon. Staryu, at first was very timid and shy with its new trainer. this made it weak. But intense training with him and Squirtle strengthened Staryu and its confidence.

    RP Sample:
    A young boy of 11 was excited at the start of a day when he would finally start and become the best Water/Ice Pokémon trainer following his family's footsteps. He ran to the local professor's lab and already knew which starter Pokémon to choose. He got up early that day to make sure he was the first one to get it. His grandmother, let him go after his dream after delaying him a year and looked back… tears in her eyes, however, these were tears of joy and happiness for him. Jason would be beginning his ultimate Pokémon quest with unexpected surprises and events…

    Name: Miles Prower

    Age: Fourteen

    Description: Miles stands at 159 centimetres high and weighs an approximate of 55 kilograms. He has short black hair occasionally adorned by a beanie decorated with a printed Pokéball design. His skin is lightly tanned and is clothed by a white long-sleave (rolled) collar shirt as well as a pair of grey belt-braced trousers. His attire also includes a pair of white grey sneakers. A dog-tag chained by a silver necklace rests across his shoulders and around his neck. The word 'Sketch' is also printed upon the tag.

    History: Miles spent much of his childhood living at home with his adoptive parents, Judith and Michael and their daughter, Chelsea. His parents were also co-owners of the Pokémon Gym in Rooter Creek. He worked with his parents for a number of years at the gym until he had become mature enough to begin his own Pokémon adventure. He had been travelling for four years across different countries from the day he had left home. During his travels, Miles has accumulated five official Gym Badges from the Kanto region and its official Pokémon Gyms. He has also caught up to six different species of Pokémon during his adventure.

    Personality: Miles is a quiet and generally shy person who does not like confrontations or large crowds. He does not converse well with others and tends to wonder off alone. He is caring of his Pokémon and the people he considers to be 'true' friends. He will help those in need but will also stray away from conflict whenever possible. Miles is laid back and tends not to take situations (no matter how grave) very seriously. He enjoys having fun and being with his Pokémon and friends. Light-hearted and caring, Miles will lend a hand to those who are in trouble or are struggling. His most serious unrest is when other people or Pokémon are indirectly hurt as a result of his involvement in a conflict or battle.

    Pokémon: Dragonair (Female) – Dragonair is Miles' first Pokémon. He had caught Dragonair after an incident involving Team Rocket and the case of the missing Pokémon in Rooter Creek. He received Dragonair as a reward for resolving the complications involving Team Rocket and the missing Pokémon. Following Miles' general composure, Dragonair shows the characteristics of a docile personality. Often wary of confrontations and large crowds, Dragonair tends to act cautiously around strangers and follows her instincts in unfamiliar situations.

    Role-Play Sample: The cool sea breeze washed over his face as he sat behind the captain of a small motorboat. He could see they were approaching their destination rather quickly and decided to strike up a conversation in order to fill the awkward silence between them. 'So…' Miles began uncomfortably, attempting to sound casual, 'have you sailed across this part of Hoenn before?'
    The captain was slightly taken aback by the sudden question but smiled as he processed his answer. 'I've made a few stops at Lilycove before, for business and what not, nothing really important.' He smiled but did not look at his passenger. 'We'll be there in a few minutes now.'
    Miles nodded but remained silent as they entered the city's harbour. The sea air was surprisingly stronger across the harbour then it was when travelling across the ocean. Miles could feel his heart beating a little faster as they docked beside several small dinghies in the water. He was finally here; the place where he would find and eventually reunite with his parents.
    Miles bid farewell to the sea captain and headed into town.

    Large clusters of people were scattered all throughout the city, obviously taking part in some sort of celebration or event. Following the information on the papers he had found in his parents' room, Miles recognised the attraction and soon arrived at the entrance to the infamous Lilycove Safari Zone.
    There were a number of guards at the entrance blocking the pathway inside. Groups of people and Pokémon were also gathered around the entrance, most probably waiting for their turn at the event. Miles paced across the square in front of the zone, taking care not to bump into anyone as he begun contemplating about how he and his family were connected to this event and their relationship with Team Rocket.

    Large monitors were flickering above the zone's entrance, displaying the areas and people inside who were taking a part in the event.
    'Hmm, looks like the event's already started…' Miles mumbled, as he leant against the guard rail surrounding the square.
    Watching the monitors with mild interest, Miles suddenly spotted something strange happening within one of the screens. He stood up straight and decided to approach the entrance a little closer. However, before he could attempt a second glance, the screen had already changed displaying another area within the zone. 'What was that?' Miles began, scanning the monitors in hope of seeing the image again. He stood unmoved outside the zone, the image he had seen still burned in his mind. 'It couldn't be…'

    The sound was faded but definitely real. Miles flinched as he heard the sound emit from within the zone. It lasted for just a moment but he was sure he had heard it. The sound was unique almost foreboding. He quickly looked around the entrance trying to see if anyone else had heard the noise. No other citizen appeared to have taken any notice of it but Miles was definite on his decision. 'There is something in that place…' he shot in a sudden rash but forced whisper.

    He finally altered his gaze from the monitor where he had seen something very obscure and out of the ordinary. He felt suddenly depressed and suspected something ominous was approaching. His heart raced as he scanned the screens for any other sign or message that might explain the feeling he was beginning to have.
    Shots of dirt rocks and grassy plateaus flashed across the monitors above the zone's entrance. Miles could see something was wrong: the Pokémon inside were acting in an almost hostile manner, as if something was threatening them. 'What is going on?' he exclaimed.
    Miles watched the screens until another image suddenly caught his attention. There were a group of Pokémon Trainers all gathered in a small clearing within a forest enclosed area. He watched the group intently. 'That's strange…' he thought, speaking in a hushed tone, 'maybe they have something to do with the event…and my parents.' Suddenly, something caught his eye. He noticed something stirring in the background and knew it was neither human nor Pokémon. However, before he could obtain a better look, the monitor flashed and another image was displayed. Miles blinked but kept his gaze upon the screens, hoping that he would see the image again.
    'Something's not rig-ah!' he began, before breaking off his sentence as he made an attempt to grab the guard rail. The ground was beginning to shake and almost knocked everyone in the square to their hands and knees. The guards were shouting, obviously startled by the sudden quake.
    Finally breaking his watch over the monitors, Miles looked around the square as the ground continued to shake. Pokémon and trainers were on the ground undoubtedly dazed by the sudden rupture. He saw with relief that some other trainers and Pokémon were more instinctive when it came to natural disasters: there was a Geodude weighting a small young boy in the air who was evidently its trainer; there was also another teenage girl who was comfortably shielding her Vulpix as they steered away from the bustling entrance.

    The monitors were crashing around the entrance and the guards were escorting people away from the structure. Miles realised that he was losing the only chance he had of finding his parents. He knew that this sudden disaster wasn't natural. Something more threatening was the cause of it.
    'I have to find out what's going on!' Miles exclaimed falling to the ground, still clutching the guard rail. The ground still shaking beneath him, Miles pulled himself up and began racing towards the Safari Zone.

    Name: Fein Gray

    Nickname: Felix

    Age: 17

    Profession: Waiter, Engineer, Entertainer and wherever extra service is needed.

    Description: Felix is quite tall at 6' 1'', and has quite a muscular build for his age. He has spiky dark brown hair, dark brown eyes, and handsome features and because he travels a lot he has a tan. He usually wears a dark brown jacket that cuts off just before the elbows, and underneath a larger orange t-shirt, so it sticks out under the jacket at the elbows and the waist. He also wears a pair of dark blue, slightly baggy jeans, a belt and a pair of grey, dark grey and black skating trainers. He carries his poke balls on his belt and he also wears a necklace with a small pendant hanging from the end (He looks slightly similar to Brock from the latest series of the T.V show).

    History: Felix lived a normal life with his parents and three older siblings in Saffron
    City until the age of 12 when his parents were offered well paid jobs on the SS Anne. He currently works several jobs on the ship, being a waiter and working in the engine room as well as performing his own shows along with some of the other kids working on the boat. He generally works wherever help is needed and doesn't have a particular permanent job. His father is head chef and his mother works with the captain on routes that the ship travels and destinations it visits, whilst his brothers and sisters work on various other jobs around the boat. Felix is also a dedicated pokemon trainer, fighting the many trainers that come and go on the ship. He hasn't been on the ship for long compared to many of the other staff and crewmembers but he is quick to make friends.

    Personality: Felix is usually carefree and outgoing. He enjoys working on the boat, but one day hopes of leaving to become a pokemon breeder. He is accident-prone and has a running case of bad luck, often getting himself into bad situations or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is caring and friendly to everyone he meets, but has a short temper and can be hot headed at times. He is quick to challenge trainers that visit the boat to pokemon battles.

    Pokemon:
    Charmeleon – Male – Charmeleon
    Having been together for so long, Felix and Charmeleon have formed a close bond that is unbreakable. As a Charmander he was extremely friendly and cheerful and very lovable. He was always willing to help out and was a fierce fighter. Since he evolved into a Charmeleon he has become even tougher and fiercer in battle yet still retains his friendly nature. He is rather hotheaded and always fights to the end, no matter who the opponent is, but is usually calm and cool. He gets on well with the other pokemon, but prefers to work alone if he can. Charmeleon is also sometimes overconfident and arrogant.

    Mudkip – Male - Torrent
    Torrent is very quiet and minds his own business when it comes to other pokemon. He finds it difficult to work in a team and definitely prefers to fight alone where he isn't distracted by his teammates. He usually spends most of his time in his pokeball. However, underneath the solitary attitude, Torrent is just a lonely pokemon who needs love and attention. He is very attached to Felix, who gives him the love and care that he needs, but he doesn't interact very well with other people, mostly because he is shy. Felix has tried to make Torrent more outgoing but nothing seems to work. Besides this, Torrent is a difficult opponent to beat in battle, partly due to his strange type combination and partly because he has been trained well.

    RP Sample: It was a beautiful day in Saffron City, the sun shining brightly down on the people that crowded the streets, bustling to get to the department store and to work. Felix Gray walked calmly down the main street outside his parent's home, taking in the fresh clean breeze that swept down the street bringing many leaves with it. Felix had just come from visiting his parents, who were glad to see him for the first time in months, and he was just setting off to leave for Vermillion City. He had received the invitation from the Pokemon League Association three days ago, and was determined to get the first ferry to the resort so he could start his training early. This tournament was the biggest and the best ever thought up and he wasn't about to miss out on the experience of a lifetime. As he walked down the street one of his neighbours, Jake, ran up to him and tugged on his shirt.

    "Fein! Where are ya going? You only just got here yesterday!"

    Jake was 6 years old and dreamed of being the world's best pokemon coordinator, but he hadn't received an invitation to the tournament, mainly because he had never competed in a tournament before. Felix usually found the kid annoying, but knew that he was just trying to be friendly.

    "I've gotta make my way to Vermillion City to catch the ferry. I wanna start training as soon as possible. We only get to take six pokemon onto the island, so I gotta make sure I train all of the so they're ready."

    Jake dropped his head and muttered something that Felix couldn't hear before turning to walk back home, holding two pokeballs in his hands dimly. Felix started to Jake as he walked away.

    "Hey, wait Jake! You wanna come to Vermillion with me? It'll take about two days to get there, if we hurry. I could use the company."

    Jake smiled and ran to Felix jumping up and running in circles shouting how happy he was.

    "Yes, of course I'll go with you! I'll just tell my mum and dad! Wait right here!"

    Jake ran off to his house and Felix leaned against the wall of the pokemart, watching silently as people entered and left, feeling rather pleased with himself. He fumbled mindlessly with the six small pokeballs hanging from his belt as he waited for Jake to return.

    Water&Ice power - Your RP sample is much too short, but your sign up is very good so you're accepted! If you could put in a longer sample just to prove to me what you can do I'd really appreciate it.

    Toomi - accepted! Very nice and thanks for adding in profession I probably should have done that ;)

    Gray - accepted sample a bit on the short side for me but overall very nice job

    Name: Al Sells, however everybody simply calls him "Al"
    Age: 19
    Profession: Custodian
    Description: Al has messy black hair that looks like he just rolled out of bed; he covers his messy hair with a hat that has the "SS Anne" logo on it. His eyes are usually always squinting or just low and look like he never gets any sleep at all. He also looks like he hasn't shaved for a week. Al wears a custodian outfit that has the "SS Anne" logo in the front and at the back; he also has a name tag that says his name "Al." The custodian outfit as a whole is just one big, baggy, blue jumpsuit that easily fits all sizes and zips right up. Al also wears blue cloth gloves and extremely old and dirty white sneakers. Aside from his personal looks, Al is pretty tall and is about 6 ft, however he hunches a bit. His body is decent, nothing spectacular, he isn't fat but he's not skinny either. If he actually took care of his looks more he would be very good looking.
    History: Al has worked on the SS Anne since he was 14 years old. From the looks of things, Al is a runaway. The captain found him in the cellar of the ship; the captain felt sorry for the poor kid and decided to keep him on the ship. It is unknown what Al ran away from or why but when he was found he looked extremely nervous and scared. However, as time goes on, Al slowly becomes but a shadow of the ship and is usually ignored by most. He used to have dreams and hopes but they slowly diminished as he realized they will never come true. He wishes to leave the ship one day and set off with his life, however it is very unlikely and he lost all motivation as he grew older to really do anything.
    Personality: Al is very lazy and tends to just stay out of things. If there is a conversation he will just pass on by in the background and continue his work. He really doesn't care about anything though. It seemed he used to but something happened to him apparently that just made him stop caring about things. He treats everyday like it's the same and months just blend together for him.
    Pokemon:
    SS Anne
    Slowpoke - Pokey, Male
    Al found the Slowpoke in the garbage actually. He realized that a trainer that was on board threw the pokeball that contains him away thinking that it was empty.
    The Slowpoke, much like Al, is very slow and lazy. It tends to not do much or well anything other than lying down on its belly with its dimwitted look. Al however enjoys its company very much and usually leaves it out while he does his work. Pokey was never used for any battles by Al but it looks like it went through quite an adventure with its last trainer leaving one to believe that's why it's extra lazy and sleepy all the time.

    RP Sample:

    OOC: The RPG sample is from my RPG: Pokemon II

    It's a hot summer day and school is out, in the tropical island of Cinnabar what's a better summer activity than surfing? That's right, surfing season is now in session. Of course, difference in seasons has never stopped this young trainer from hitting the waves with his board before.

    Brad is surfing on a wave that is at least 10 feet. Pretty big, and he is surfing it with a big smile on his face as other surfers are losing balance and falling in the ocean. Accompaning the young surfer is a tough Wartortle who is standing at the front of the surfboard enjoying the sport as well.

    After surfing the high wave, Brad makes it safely to the shoreline where he is greeted by plenty of girls who seem to be big fans of his.

    "Ooo!!! You were wonderful!" One shouts.

    "You're so dreamy, can I surf with you?" Another asks.

    The swarm of girls crowd Brad without hesitation, trying to be at his side.

    "Ladies please, one at a time." Brad laughs.

    Just then an announcement can be heard over a loudspeaker coming from a fat man with a mustache who at his side is a young skinny surfer who seems to be lost in his own little world and a middle aged man who seems to be some sort of judge.

    "Wow! Wasn't that a high tide?" shouts The fatman.

    The crowd on the beach goes crazy. Other surfers who fell in the water can be seen climbing out of the ocean in shame, some even covered in seaweed.

    "Well, who will reign surpreme in the Surf's Up Contest? Let's leave it to our judges and of course our viewing audience!" The fatman explains.

    The crowd goes estatic.

    "Well" starts the middle-aged man,

    "All of them seem pretty good but I have to give it to contestant Brad for giving a splendid surf over the last wave. It was flawless" He explains.

    He turns to the other judge who is the oblivious skinny man. He looks around and points to himself and then smiles,

    "Oh, yeah,... right..." He says as if he completely forgot about the surfing contest.

    "Umm, I'll have to agree on... everything Greg said... totally man... totally..." He says moving his hands around acting cool.

    "Well there you have it Wave fans! Surfer Brad wins the tournament!" The fatman yells in excitment.

    The crowd goes crazy. Brad makes it up to the man where he shakeshands and receives a trophy.

    "Any words you would like to say?" The fat man asks.

    Brad nodded and was handed the microphone.

    "Yeah! I would like to thank all of my fans out there who cheered me on and of course my family and friends! Thank you all!" Brad shouts happily.

    The crowd goes crazy and a storm of girls come chasing after him. After much talking and autographs, pictures and such, Brad finally is able to leave and make it home.

    He throws his trophy on his bed and leans his board on the wall. There can be seen a shelf full of Trophies for surfing, this seems to not be the first time he won such a contest.

    He climbs out of a window and ontop of his roof and sits as he now watches the late afternoon sun setting.

    Brad seems not so thrilled winning. He looks around and sees plenty of tourists flooding the streets and beaches, not a single Trainer though.

    "Man, if only I became more top game especially for Pokemon..." He thinks out loud.

    He remembers when he was younger, how Cinnabar used to be an Island of Pokemon Trainers and how Blaine used to be the toughest Gym Leader out there. Now its all gone. If only something big happened in this dull island, maybe then will Trainers flock towards this little island bring it back to life.

    Brad thinks this all in his mind with his Wartortle at his side looking over the twilight sky as well..

    Name: AJ Kinova
    Age: 14
    gender: Male
    Birth date: December fifth
    Birthplace: Sootopolis, Hohen
    height: four foot
    weight: 60 lbs
    Pokemon: Mudkip, pikachu, kingdra
    Appearance: Golden hair in a ponytail, emreald green eyes, peach skin, ear peireced, wears a Black sleevless shirt, black leather pants, wears a White cloak with the picture of a oorburoo ( snake eating it's own tail) on the back and has a six pack, also has a Yen-yang tatoo on his back, he looks like he is seven or eight rather then 14. When training in the gym he ussaly wears a black Gi, and when helping out with the ship he wears a Black T-shirt, and a pair of Blue jeans.

    Personality: AJ has a very seirious attitude most of the time, but when prevoked is very tempermental and hot headed, he
    would much rather be a pokemon trainer collecting badges then stuck on a boat. He is ussaly pretty lazy on the SS Anne, But sometimes
    will work out at the gym to get stronger. AJ can be very careless and cold, he owes that to his negelectful parents who didnt have enough time for him with there Jobs on the SS anne, when it come's to freinds he is very loyal though, same with his pokemon.

    History: All AJ's life he has been on the SS anne, just a boring ship were boring rich people brag about how rich they are. Well atleast that's what AJ thinks about it, his parents were very neglectful to him and he grew up a little cold hearted. He decided that the most interesting thing to do was learn martial arts and perfect his hidden psionic abillity's. When he was five his parents gave him a mudkip witch he named muddy, he had lot's of fun with muddy and learned to love pokemon. when he was eight his parents gave him a pikachu witch he named Pika and learned to battle other trainers who passenged on the ship, he started to get better and created a strong bond with his pokemon. when he was ten his parents then got him a Horsea witch he named Rain and got it to evolve into a seadra after a few battle's. Then one day while the boat was on dock, AJ fell into the ocean, nobody knew except his pokemon and they wern't strong enough to get him out, Rain tryed anyway, when rain dived in it found a dragonscale witch made it evolve to a kingdra. Rain then saved AJ and they've been good freinds as well ever since.

    Other: AJ is a psion and knows martial arts. and can't swim,
    Note: psion means he knows psycic stuff like the kinesis

    RP sample:

    I lunged my arm at the bag again, and thrust it into it, the bag flew up about a foot and then came back down, thudding on the concrete ground.
    I wiped the sweat off my forehead, I was working out at the gym again, training. I streched out my arm's and flexed them, getting musculer I could see, that was very good, I was getting toned. I smiled and headed out to deck, I found a white tanning chair, it was time to get tanned! it would look good on my musculer body. I was practicly dreaming of the girls who would like it when I felt a nudge, it felt human, I looked up, it looked like a girl around my age, but not as small as me. " Little boy... would you mind if I took this chair?" She asked as if talking to a five year old. I scowled and told her off, just because I was a little short I was mistaken for a little kid, I was so lightweight from not eating that much ever that I geuss I was a little small.

    I sighed and moved out of the chair, I was going to go to my cabin, it was a very long walk there, good thing there wasn't many people on this ship yet, it would be totally embarrasing to be out in a black Gi this time of day. After what seemed like hours I finnaly reached my cabin, it was pretty big, I had my own room in it. I ignored my parents who were complaining about some dish and moved on to my room, it was small for a room, but I didn't care, I just plopped on to my cushioned bed and tryed to relax, it was going to be a long year with the same people.

    I geuss I dozed off because when I woke up I smelt dinner being made, it smelt meaty and disgusting, my parents were very forgetful and forgot I was a vegitarian! I stomped into the kicthen and scowled at my parents who didnt seem to notice as I took out a leftover salad out of the frig.
    I took the salad to my room and quickly ate the sweet tomatoes, my most liked vegtable.

    after eating the salad I got back into bed, I was really tired, and ready to go to sleep. I pulled back the blankets and got in under them, I then plopped my head on a feathery pillow and fell asleep.

    Cool, I wanna join!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Name: Kelsey Fables (aka Silphia)
    Age: 20
    Gender: Female
    Description: Silphia is about 5 feet tall and quite thin. She has straight, shoulder-length, dark red hair and dark brown eyes. She wears a flowy, mediumsleeved lavender shirt, a long blue skirt, light purple socks, and black sandals. She also wears glasses and an aqua hat.
    History: Silphia, due to conflicts between the sides of her family, was born under a curse by her great-grandmother Celia. She didn't have a mother and her dad was quite poor, so Kelsey kept living in and out of an orphanage. Her favorite Pokemon was always Kirlia--in fact, the other kids in the orphanage called her the Kirlia Kid. Her dad lived in Saffron City right across the street from Sabrina's house. Sabrina was just as young as Kelsey was--about 6--but Sabrina didn't want the two of them to be friends because of her psychic training. Yet Sabrina was the only peer around, so Kelsey had no friends early on in her life. In fact, this sparked Kelsey's interest in Kirlia and psychic Pokemon in general.
    Kelsey started her journey when she was ten, with Ralts as her first Pokemon. All things went well--she cought a couple of Pokemon, and Ralts evolved--but after that, by a stroke of bad luck, the evil organization Team Shockwave stole Kirlia away and abused her for quite a while. Kelsey barely hung on for the remainder of her journey, also meeting a fellow trainer named David. Eventually, Kirlia was mysteriously returned to her, but in very poor condition. It took Kelsey quite a while to bring Kirlia back to her senses, but she was still awfully depressed thanks to Shockwave's torture.
    Fortunately, Kelsey had some interesting relationships with other trainers along the way. First, there was Suneora, an unregistered Pokemon trainer that just "appeared" into the world one day. Then there was Gabe, the sweet guy who rescued Kelsey's Kirlia and had a crush on Kelsey herself. But she also had two rivals. One was Eve, a wannabe gym leader who specialized in Dark-type Pokemon. Then there was Kaida, who was the meanest to Kelsey yet and often picked on her.
    After a long while, Team Shockwave managed to turn Kelsey into a Pokemon--an undiscovered fairy Pokemon named Psiad. While she was a Pokemon, David was her "trainer", and the two traveled for a little while. Eventually though, Kelsey entered a battle with Celia with her own Pokemon, and she herself even entered the final battle with Celia's Banette. After this glorious victory, the curse was lifted--well for the most part. If one lives under a curse all their life, it's nigh impossible to remove completely.
    After the battle was won, Kelsey turned back into a human. She also met her dad for the first time in a long time. Also, she had a big battle with David which she barely won. Yet shortly after this battle, Celia died, but in the most wonderful spirits yet. Also, Kelsey discovered that David was her cousin (his mother and her father were siblings), and that Professor Willow, the Pokemon professor she got her first Pokemon from, was her aunt. And to celebrate her victory, she gave herself a nickname: Silphia. Calling her Kelsey would now be considered a sort of insult.
    Now a word about Professor Willow. She, like Professors Oak, Elm, and Birch, gave Pokemon out to beginning trainers. However, unlike them, she didn't stay in one region but traveled between them occasionally, her laboratory being in a remote island north of Mt. Moon. Also she often traveled, mostly to catch different Pokemon to be starters. But anyways, one day she got an invitation from the S.S. Anne crew to travel on the ship for a month--to Willow it kind of sounded like a tour or a very long business trip. But whatever it was, Willow acepted it, and she was allowed to bring two guests with her for free. Those two people she chose were Silphia and her dad, as she knew Silphia quite well (Silphia had been her assistant for a while after Celia died).
    Personality: One can say Silphia is mentally strong but physically and emotionally weak. Though she is very smart, her emotions can fog her mind completely. She tends to be modest and quiet and gets depressed quite easily, and she also has very bad luck. When someone compliments her or says she can do something, she often doubts it. Yet on the plus side, she has a very strong connection to her Pokemon--in fact, in most cases she has established a telepathic connection to them.
    Other: As Ash Jr. wasn't accepted yet, I don't know if this is OK, but Silphia does have a couple of mild psychic powers... First of all, as a "memory" of being Psiad she kept a tiny slice of the powers she had then: she was still sort of able to use telekinesis. However, she hardly ever uses this and it's not very strong or wieldy. Second, the connection she has with her Pokemon is so strong that in most cases, she has established a telepathic connection to them. But this is only with her Pokemon, not anyone else.
    Pokemon: :t281::t038::t301::t097::t354::t197:
    Kirlia--Kirlia was Silphia's first Pokemon. In many cases she looks kind of frail and quiet--she had always looked that way no matter how kind Silphia ever was to her. This is because the memories still remain of the time she was tortured by Team Shockwave, the state she only barely came out of alive, and certainly not well. In many cases Kirlia tends to be modest, but she will try her very best in any battle, for if she loses a battle to someone she doesn't know, who knows whether they might be a Team Shockwave person in disguise...
    Ninetales--Ninetales, or Vulpix at the time, was the first Pokemon Silphia caught, just outside Celadon City. As a Vulpix, she always tried her best to help Silphia through her worst times, and she definitely seemed the healthiest out of the first three Pokemon Silphia had. Generally she is brave, loyal, and easily forgiving, but she's the complete opposite when she gets angry, which she often does when her tail(s) are hurt or broken. This was often a problem when she evolved into Ninetales--one time, an Absol she was in a Contest Battle with bit her on the tail, causing her to lose her temper and control of herself, as well as her appeal of the judges... Anyways, even though she can be forgiving, as a Ninetales she also has a penchant for putting curses on people--she has done this many times with Team Shockwave or Celia. Speaking of which, she has a unique way of using Curse in battle that is a little more like the Ghost-type effect...
    Delcatty--Silphia caught her as a Skitty shortly after she captured Vulpix. Also, she evolved shortly after Silphia got Drowzee. Appearance-wise, the purple parts of this Delcatty's fur are a brighter purple than normal, and she's about half the size of the normal Delcatty (this was true even when she was Skitty). Delcatty is just about as quiet as Kirlia is, but she certainly has more confidence in herself. Her favourite attack to use is Assist, and when she uses it, she adapts pretty quickly to the results. (Every time one of the other Pokemon learned a new attack, Kelsey showed it to Delcatty in case she Assisted it.) The only attack she has trouble Assisting, though, is Curse... when she gets this move, she goes crazy. (She even hates Banette and Ninetales a little for this.)
    Hypno--Silphia got her as an egg when she was about 14 (after she lost Kirlia). When she hatched from her egg, one of the first things she did was make Silphia realize that she could contact her Pokemon telepathically, and Drowzee was the first one for which she could do that. Also, Drowzee was taken away from Silphia by Team Shockwave later on as well, and Kelsey barely managed to get her back after she evolved into Hypno. Anyways, as far as her personality goes, Hypno tends to be creative and mischievous, and she likes to show off a little bit in battles. But on the plus side, she rarely gets angry. If anyone teases her or anything, she'll get back at them by hypnotizing them or something.
    Banette: After Celia died, Silphia inherited her Pokemon, which were Umbreon and Banette. But Silphia quickly got used to her; neither of them really feared or hated each other. This is probably because Silphia was used to Ninetales' dark side already and began to grow a little attached to it. Anyways, Banette is well known for her dark side: she has a strong tendency to be sadistic and cold-hearted. She loves pain, even to herself. But on the plus side, she will often sacrifice herself for the betterment of her allies or for the worse of her enemies. And in some occasions, she will help out someone she trusts.
    Umbreon--Umbreon is another Pokemon Silphia inherited from Celia. This Umbreon is slightly off-colour: her eyes are hot pink and the rings on her body are a lime green. When someone teases her for this goofy look, she uses Toxic on them. Umbreon is generally impatient; she tends to finish things quickly and does not believe in waiting that long. Also, she often has a one-track mind: once she focuses on one thing, she has a hard time noticing much else. But on the other hand, she does seem to be slightly clairvoyant, much like an Espeon. She can't really read minds, but she does get sparks of that occasionally, and she occasionally can sense things that are yet to come.
    RP Sample: (from the RPG "Coordinator Grand Challenge" of this February)
    The rain got heavier and heavier with each second, and the boat rocked more than ever. Commotion from up above told that people were getting restless and seasick.
    Good thing we didn't have lunch, Silphia thought.
    A few moments later, a flash of white light appeared to the right of the ship, accompanied by a boom of thunder coming from the same source as the light. A giant thunderbolt had struck the sea not too far from the ship's side. This jolt caused the ship to tilt a bit, and a wave of water flashed across the back of the ship, drenching Silphia and her Pokemon. Gusts of wind came from all directions, and a few seconds later a tall but skinny tornado appeared behind the ship. This tornado started moving away from the ship, taking the whirlpools that once surrounded the ship with it. Within minutes the sea began to calm, though rain was still coming steadily down and there were still gusts of wind remaining.
    "Why couldn't the wind stop too?" Silphia complained. She and Ninetales were shivering vigorously, Misdreavus felt embarrassed with a dripping-wet hairdo, and Kirlia was spinning around to shake herself dry.
    "Having a good time, Kelsey?" said a man's mocking voice from Silphia's left. As Silphia looked up, she saw someone riding on Gyarados with a Hitmonlee and a Manectric behind him. The man had pale, spiky hair and wore a long, faded, blue coat. Silphia recognized the man immediately.
    "Kaida," she said under her breath, glaring at the man. Must have been his Manectric who fired the thunderbolt.
    As Silphia continued staring, Kaida's Gyarados rested his chin on the railing on the back of the ship, allowing everyone off. Hitmonlee came striding off and landed gracefully in front of Kirlia (and made her stop spinning), followed by a bounding Manectric, and lastly Kaida. Pushing his Pokemon aside, Kaida came face to face with Silphia till he was uncomfortably close. There was a long pause full of tension between the two faces.
    Then the moment happened. Kaida made to grab Silphia's arm, but Silphia had already kicked Kaida in the stomach and ran out from under him.
    "Gee, you're low," Silphia commented at the same time that Kaida blurted "****, you're fast."
    "You!" the rivals shouted in unison, pointing fingers at each other.
    "What are you doing here?" they asked, again in unison.
    "Looks like you're giving this crowd a wonderful time," Kaida teased, gesturing at the cabin where all the other people were.
    "Looks like you're in trouble," Silphia sneered, gesturing behind her at the ship's captain.
    "What's going on here?" the captain demanded. Instantly, Kaida and Silphia pointed to each other while still looking at the captain.
    "He doesn't have a ticket," Silphia blurted before Kaida could comment.
    "Sir?" the captain asked Kaida with a suspicious tone in his voice.
    "Who says?" Kaida replied, turning his nose up like someone selfish would.
    "I do," shouted a woman from behind, who was running towards them. "He saved our lives!"
    "Heh, that's right," Kaida agreed in a prideful tone.
    "Is this true?" the captain asked excitedly, turning towards Silphia.
    "He didn't save any lives," Silphia answered. "In fact, he made them worse."
    "But at least he cleared up the weather!" the woman commented.
    "His Manectric did," Silphia added.
    "Yes, but I'm his trainer," Kaida retorted.
    "You think you're superior to your Pokemon," Silphia mocked as she walked away from the conversation.
    "You're so weak you surrender to them," Kaida called after her.
    Silphia walked back to the bench where her Pokemon were. By that time the rain had stopped and the sky had lightened. However, Silphia and her Pokemon were still in the dark--Misdreavus was glaring at Kaida like Silphia did before. Silphia sat down on the bench next to the still shivering and pouting Ninetales, looking down at Kirlia and wearing a saturnine expression. Meanwhile, the crowd around Kaida continued to grow.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I hope the things explained in the "Other" section are OK...

    Notes:
    --Silphia is on the S.S. Anne because Professor Willow is. If you know we'll be on the S.S. Anne for over a month, please tell me so I can extend the time Willow's supposed to be there.
    --I already said that Silphia's dad will also be aboard the boat. But just like in the RP Sample, Kaida (her rival) may also appear occasionally to bully Silphia a bit. Gabe, the guy who has a crush on her, may also appear in the RPG.
    --In the RP Sample, Silphia had a Misdreavus, but in this one she will not.

    Darthmoose – I love the details and personality or your character and pokemon! You're accepted!

    Ash Jr. – Your post is entirely too short. Also you've got spelling problems and typos, such as "Sootpolis, Hohen" which should be Sootopolis, Hoen and many other things it seems like you didn't care to fix. It's obvious when you look at my post that I spent a lot of time writing it, which you didn't. Try to work on that in other RPs. Declined.

    Ninetales – Wow, that's a lot of plot you've got there! It's obvious that you've used this character for a while and have a lot planned out about her, just make sure that we don't get confused with all that has gone on with Silphia before. Overall it's very good, great RP sample and very well-thought out ideas. Congrats, you're accepted! (And we can say that they'd only need to be on for about a month for now, that should be adequate.)

    Obelisk-Kun – You've got a lot of ideas but you need to water it down a bit. I mean two shiny starter pokemon, a pokemon from Lance and a job with Professor Oak? It's a bit much. You also haven't written nearly enough in your sign-up or RP sample. I'm sorry but you're declined

    We can start now though, there are defiantly enough members. (And sorry my first post is a long one when it really didn't need to be, I just figured I'd describe the ship and setting a lot in it so that we're all on the same page.)

    ----------On the ship---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Bria stood idly on her hands on the stage inside of the Leading Light Theater which was positioned at the rear end of the 6th floor of the SS Anne. They were docked at Vermilion, a stop they typically made only once a year. It was also the best time to practice her routine for shows, being that there were no waves to rock the boat in the harbor, and also no tourists to bother her. Everyone knew that the Vermilion party was one of the biggest the ship ever saw, and any guests on the boat would have been insane to miss such a huge event. It was one of the most expensive weeks to book on the SS Anne because of it. Bria only felt bad for the chefs and the custodians, for most of the crew would be there cleaning up after the careless tourists. These people were almost unanimously disliked by the crew, and yet without them and their ever-flowing wallets, much of the crew would have no other place to work; the Annek family included.

    Bria pushed off of her arms and bent over backwards to stand. Jayden was no where to be seen. And yet her older brother had promised her that he would be there. Probably off at that party chasing girls somewhere Bria thought, although normally it was the opposite. She couldn't remember a single week in which a different set of girls didn't come up and talk to Jayden, giggling and asking him about the show. It was true that he was good-looking though, and at least with him around Bria wasn't noticed by any of them. She liked it better that way. Besides, what could she gain from talking to the guests that would be gone in a week or two anyway?

    Letting out a sigh, Bria said to herself "Well, it doesn't look like he's even coming. Since I can't practice anything without him, I'm not staying here either." She walked slowly to one of the dressing rooms behind the stage and changed into more normal clothes – white sneakers, sky-blue baggy basket-ball shorts and a grey tank-top shirt. Nothing she'd stand out in. She walked about the 6th deck, scanning for a familiar face. "Man, no one is down here! Maybe I should go up to that stupid party too..." Bria gulped. She hated being around that many people, but she also knew that the fresh air and seeing the other people would do her good. I can't hide out down here forever. she admitted to herself, making her way up the stairs to the 14th and top-most deck.

    Immediately the sound of Reggae music pounded its way into her head, and people appeared all around her. Overweight men in tiny bathing suits, women with obvious plastic surgery, screaming children, orange fake-tanned girls in tiny bikinis…the usual. Bria pushed through the crowd, past the pool and Jacuzzis and towards the front end of the ship – where it would hopefully be less crowded. Waiters carrying drinks ran past, Bria shoved aside a man with a camera escorting another who was dressed in an absurd pokemon outfit who pulled guests over and took pictures with them to later sell back to these people. This was a terrible idea, I've gotta get down from here! The decks were so congested; Bria found herself breathing heavily from nervousness and from sheer Closter phobia. She had never been this far onto deck 14, especially during one of the busiest parties of the year. Just keep going, there has to be a stairwell up ahead at the bow she assumed from having lived on the boat for her whole life and depending on her knowledge of its layout to continue on. There was finally somewhat of a break in the people, which calmed Bria tremendously. Finally she could see more of what was around her, instead of just a wall of people.

    At her left side, she could see out onto Vermilion city. At her right was a bar that catered drinks rapidly to its customers who had prepaid. Bria continued against the wall at her right until she saw a plain white door that almost blended in with the white ship walls. There were no signs on or near it, so she took her chances and tried the knob, knowing that if it was for the Crew Only she would still be safe going inside.

    But this room was different. On the right wall were windows that faced out, looking towards the other side of the harbor. The noise from outside dissipated immediately in the sanctuary Bria had found. Red, puffy chairs surrounded three tall yet thin circular tables. The walls were complete with red curtains and four pictures of ships. Also on the wall, was a smoking symbol. This room was not for the crew only, it was a smokers' lounge. But being that there was no sign on the door, it would probably take the senseless tourists weeks to realize that they were allowed in.

    Bria let out a sigh and sat down by the tall windows. She kicked her shoes off and curled her legs up on the chair. Soon enough, this solitude was too lonely for even Bria, who soon reached into the side pocket for a pokeball, which after expanding, she tossed onto the chair beside her. Her friendly Poliwag popped out to sit with her, and after the next throw Narik the Spinarak appeared sticking to the red curtains beside him, both of their purple-ish bodies clashing with the red. She smiled at her pokemon, thankful to have found a place of seclusion after all of the chaos outside.

    Yet in the back of her mind, Bria knew that this could very well be someone else's spot, and constantly eyed the door to watch for any new arrivals. After all, plenty of crew members made their way up here more often then she ever did, and they were bound to have discovered the benefits of this place long before her.

    It was kind of hard for a girl and six Pokemon to stay together on a noisy and crowded ship. The Ninetales in the group had to take extra precautions to keep her tails from being stepped on. Umbreon and Delcatty could weave in and out of people's feet quite easily, so that they did, easily losing the rest of the group occasionally. Kirlia and Banette couldn't stand the noise, but luckily they didn't have to deal with bumping into anyone as they could just float above people's heads. However, Siphia and Hypno had the hardest time with this, and within seconds they lost track of each other and the other Pokemon.
    "Now it's okay, everyone," Silphia said to her Pokemon before they could get too far away. "We can never get lost because at least I will all know where you are. You can wander off wherever you like then, ust don't jump off the boat or something. OK, scratch that. You can jump off the boat, but make sure you come back on the boat afterwards."

    A few seconds after Silphia said this, she lost sight of Umbreon and Delcatty completely. Kirlia and Banette went down separate halls around the corner, but Ninetales and Hypno stayed with Silphia. That threesome then turned down a hall to the left and walked through a bar. Besides, on the other side was the outside, where it was cooler and less crowded. Sure enough, as the three walked outside, a cool ocean breeze welcomed them. This place was crowded like the rest of the ship, but at least the weather was good. Silphia and the two Pokemon sat against the wall of the ship and enjoyed whatever breeze they could get.

    Kirlia had happened to venture through the most crowded part of the ship: the giant room in the center where all the parties and stuff were held. In the center of the room, a Pokemon battle was taking place, and along the edge were various shops and activities. Kirlia floated over the crowd and decided to explore the shops. First, there was a shop that sold Pokemon eggs. (They're painted white so the Pokemon inside is a surprise!) Then there was a store that sold all sorts of cookies. A rather unpopular store featured a man behind a fishtank--with a Magikarp in it.
    "Come and get your Magikarp here!" the man called out to the crowd, but most people seemed to ignore him. Kirlia floted a little closer.
    "You there, poor boy! This Magikarp is like a gold mine! Within a month, it reproduces into a thousand more Magikarp! You sell and you get rich! Come on over! Just 2500 yen a fish!"
    Just when the boy was about to walk up to the salesman, Kirlia used her Psychic attack to knock the man's shop over (except the tank), causing him mich embarrassment.

    Banette had found the dining room. Had she not been a ghost Pokemon, she would have chowed down right away. It was times like these that she sort of regretted being ectoplasmic, as all the food looked delicious, but nevertheless she didn't mind. Maybe she would go steal some energy from all the full people in the room, as so was her means of collecting energy. Another way was to extract someone's soul, but that was both difficult and horribly evil, and where there is evil there is bad karma. Banette's tendency towards this withered down quite a bit since she was defeated by Silphia, and also since Celia died. The good thing was, though, she for some reason liked Silphia better than Celia. Anyway, back to the ship. While she was there, Banette gathered all the food she could carry and took it with her as she proceeded to explore some more. She left the dining room and proceeded down a few more halls.

    Umbreon and Delcatty managed to stay together as they weaved in and out of the crowds. However, they were careful not to trip anyone. There was one man, though, who tripped over Umbreon because he was walking too quickly. Because of this, Umbreon had a small bruise in her side, though it was invisible under her black fur.
    "Nya!" Delcatty yelled as she swerved left to avoid a cart that was about to hit her. after shhe narrowly missed being hit, she kept on running and banged into a wall. This wall then gave way and swung outwards.
    <"Perhaps I would have a strong Headbutt?"> Delcatty moaned as she backed away from the wall.
    <"That's not a wall, that's a door!"> Umbreon exclaimed. She had waited behind the cart and was now following Delcatty into the practically hidden white door.
    "Who's there?!" called a girl that was inside the room.
    <"Relax, it's just a couple of Pokemon,"> said a Poliwag that was also inside the room. The room had three red chairs in it, in which sat a Poliwag, a Spinarak, and a girl with short black hair.
    <"Oh, I'm sorry..."> Delcatty apologized. <"We just sort of stumbled in here...">
    <"Is this your private room?"> Umbreon asked.
    <"Actually, we just sort of stumbled in here for a little peace and quiet,"> the Spinarak answered. <"No problem. I'm Narik by the way, and this is Poliwag and...">
    <"Don't get carried away,"> Poliwag interrupted. <"Now if you will excuse us, we kind of want to be alone.">
    <"..Oops,"> Delcatty blurted.
    <"What?"> Umbreon inquired.
    <"I already told Silphia about this place--I thought she'd like to come."> Delcatty was blushing in embarrassment.
    <"How could you tell her?"> Narik asked. <"I didn't hear you say anything.">
    <"I...">

    Luckily, Delcatty was interrupted by Banette, who had seen Delcatty's tail sticking out and decided to come in. She was still carrying all the food from before.
    <"Oh..."> Banette muttered as she entered. <"Um, snacks anyone? I'm tired of carrying this... I was looking for Silphia.">
    <"Why don't you be a good little puppet and give some to these three?"> Umbreon asked in a sweet, slightly mocking voice.

    Silphia was about to walk back into the ship with Ninetales and Hypno when something else stopped her.
    "Wait you two," Silphia stopped them. "It's Delcatty again."
    Umm, Silphia? Delcatty's telepathic message. Disregard what I just said; it looks like the girl doesn't want company. Oh by the way, Banette joined us too, and she has food with her.
    Silphia repeated what Delcatty just said, er, thought.
    You just can't make up your mind, can't you? Silphia thought to Delcatty. Who knows, maybe we'll have to fly to the top of the boat to avoid these crowds.

    Al slowly made his way to the top deck. It's time to clean up at least some of the mess already that the tourists on the boat are making. He hates them and the boat but he has no other choice. He drops his bucket down that is filled with water and soap and puts a sign up that reads,

    "CAUTION! FLOOR SURFACE MAY BECOME SLIPPERY WHEN WET!"

    It's a yellow 3 ft sign with a small picture of a stick figure falling down that he placed down near the bucket.

    A small sea breeze hit his cheeck, all he felt was its coldness. He looked at the party that is going on inside the cabin and listened to the music, he sighed. He began to daydream wishing he could be there enjoying the festivity, but he stopped himself as it will never happen. He gave another sigh and swung the mop he held in his right hand into the bucket. After a couple of splashs he went straight to work.

    After a few sweeps he stopped and reached for something in his left front pocket. He took out a Pokeball.

    He stared at it for a few minutes and looked around and then shurgged, he released the Pokemon in it which is Pokey his Slowpoke to give him some company as he worked. He gave a very brief and small curve on his lips for a smile which quickly diminished.

    He took a breath and lowered his head down and began to mop the floor more only hoping that the people will leave soon so that he can finish his work quickly.

    Wow Ninetales, I really do love how you have the pokemon "talk" almost, it really fits with the telepathy thing. At first I thought that Silphia having that ability would be weird, but I think what you've done with it is very creative and it seems totally natural.

    ------------Inside the Smokers' Lounge------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Bria clutched the edge of the soft chair when she looked over at the open door to see three strange pokemon standing there. Or floating there as Banette was. Banette also being a type of ghost pokemon that Bria didn't know existed prior to seeing this one. Poliwag still sat in the chair next to her, but Narik was on the floor infront of the other pokemon, sociable and lively as ever. Poliwag gave her a skeptical look as if to say 'I don't like these newcomers.' Bria agreed with him. But it wasn't the two that had barged in that she minded, or the slightly scary strange ghost pokemon that made her nervous, it was the thought that their trainer (or worse, trainerS) would probably be soon to follow in their pokemons' intrusion.

    Narik didn't give Bria and Poliwag much time to think though. She pitter-pattered right up to the three strange pokemon, letting out friendly noises that Bria called "chirping" as a sign of greeting to Delcatty, Umbreon and Banette. It had been a while since Narik had probably been able to interact with other pokemon; since she was captured her only companions were Bria, Poliwag and the few miscellaneous crew members that the trio rarely encountered. Now was her chance to meet others outside of her normal routine, and Narik wasn't about to give it up.

    "Poli!" cried Poliwag in a watery voice, scolding the purple Spinarak.
    Narik turned to glance at Poliwag, then looked at Bria: the main authority. Even with pinchers hiding her expressionless mouth and features unlike any human, the pokemon's bulging bug eyes pleaded with her, knowing that deep down Bria agreed with Poliwag. As much as she wanted to avoid being noticed, the devoted girl could not deny her precious Narik's request.

    "Just make sure you close the door," Bria told Narik, thinking that three extra pokemon could do no harm so long as no one could see them and enter. Umbreon and Delcatty moved the rest of the way in and the Spinarak put a suction cupped foot on the white wooden door and pulled it shut. She then turned back to face the ocean again, a view Bria had never and would never tire of, despite living on the SS Anne for the duration of her short life. Sure, the water in the harbor was dirtier than the water far-out while they were at sail, but it was this greenish-brown liquid that made the deep ocean water so pure and wondrous to Bria.

    Poliwag slumped into the chair next to her, upset with Narik for her insistence. He had wanted to be alone as well, and was also grumpy for the fact that his favored trainer had not gotten her way. Little did he realize that the trio didn't seem to faze Bria at all. Narik scuttled about on the floor, enjoying the time spent with the new pokemon, and nibbling on some of the fresh food at the same time. If it were up to the Spinarak alone, most of their days would be spent socializing with other pokemon like this, and it was a relief to finally be doing what she wanted for a change. It was no less than fair for Bria to allow it.

    Bria glanced suddenly at the skitty watch on her left wrist. It was 5:00, the sun would start to set soon and the ship would begin to move by 7:00. Only two more hours and then the crowd should die down a bit Bria thought happily. But it was also a Monday evening. She put one hand to her head and moaned. There was a show scheduled for that night, one that Bria and Jayden were to be in. Jayden who hadn't even showed up to practice.
    Just my luck…. Bria thought to herself as she sat there.

    Al continued his work with a dull and sad look on his face. His facial expressions almost displayed a sign as if he wanted to cry, but it was really just him being himself, which is pretty much a lonesome worker on the ship.

    He turned to his Slowpoke which still hasn't moved from its spot after a couple of hours. Al showed a small glint in his eye. That Pokemon is his only friend pretty much. He stared at it for a bit and then turned only to see a drunken couple walks into him. Al is pushed back against the cabin wall making a loud thud.

    The two look at him and laugh. There can be seen a man in a very nice black suit with slick black hair and a small thin mustache and there is a woman holding on to his arm who is dressed in a black dress with a beautiful white pearl necklace and long black curly hair. She can be seen giggling while the man joins her in delight.

    "Pff.. watch where you're going son." The man said laughing.

    The woman giggled more by what her husband said and then suddenly grew an ill look across her face when she took a look at Al.

    "Ew… what a disgusting creature." The woman told her husband pointing to Al who slowly stands back up.

    "No, no, get back there!" The man shouts as he pushes Al again against the wall.

    Another thud.

    "…Please sir… watch your step..I—" Al muttered in his low almost whisper like voice.

    "What you say to me? What? Are you back talking me? Why I---" The husband said getting more upset.

    "Wait… hahaha.. let's go honey… hehe…" The woman giggled already in her own little world thinking of something else.

    "Better watch yourself young man… pffhahaha!" The man laughed away.

    The couple walked away and walked into Al's bucket practically almost tripping them into the sea. They found their balance once more and wobbled back and forth to the staircase to possibly get to the bottom decks. Along the way however they managed to step on poor Pokey's tail.

    "..poke!" Cried the Slowpoke 5 seconds later after his tail has been stepped on.

    Wet and dirty now, Al slowly got back to his feet. He looked at his Slowpoke which slowly moved away and hid under a bench that is against the wall of the cabin.

    It's starting to become twilight. Al walked over to his bucket and sees that it's tipped over and practically empty with the water and soap pouring out filling the deck and making its way to the sea.

    Al sighed, he has more work now. He has to clean this mess up the best way he can. He takes his mop and starts to clean the deck again as best as he could. He only wishes now that the ship never has parties ever again.

    In the undiscovered room
    <"Ahh, I sure wish this boat would leave the docks soon,"> Umbreon said impatiently. <"And I wish the sun would set too.">
    <"Bria--that's my trainer,"> Narik commented, <"has a show to do at seven, when the sun sets and the boat leaves.">
    <"Seven?!"> Umbreon exclaimed. <"What time is it now?">
    <"About five o'clock, last time I checked,"> Banette answered. <"Which was not too long ago.">
    Umbreon rolled her eyes--two whole hours before all the fun began!
    <"So why don't we just talk for a while?"> Narik suggested.
    <"Okay, but not so loud please,"> Poliwag called from next to Bria.
    "They can do as they please as long as they're not noisy," Bria said to her Poliwag. "And let's hope nobody else comes..."
    <"It's time I should be leaving,"> Banette announced.
    <"No, stay a while!"> Narik pleaded.
    <"If you want to do what I think you want to do,"> Umbreon replied, <"isn't it better to wait until nightfall?">
    <"Oh yeah, maybe when they're sleeping..."> Banette said, taking on her notable sinister tone. <"Darkness, silence, solitude... they are the perfect supplements for fear.">
    Narik was about to ask Banette what she was talking about, but then she decided that she didn't want to know.
    <"Just don't... do it to us, OK?"> was what Narik said instead.
    <"Nah, most victims are either villains or utter idiots. For example, lots of people on this boat are probably drunk."> Delcatty tried to keep her voice down as much as possible so as to not disturb Bria and Poliwag.
    <"She often zaps people's energy or morale,"> Umbreon explained, <"but sometimes she...">
    <"If that disturbed me,"> Delcatty whispered to Umbreon, <"it would disturb Narik...">
    Banette chuckled at this statement, but Narik just looked confused.

    Outside the ship's main cabin
    By that time, Kelsey had given up trying to talk to Hypno and Ninetales because voices of several other people rendered hers inaudible.
    I sure wish this place wasn't so crowded and full of, um... Kelsey thought, specifically to Ninetales. She couldn't think of a word to describe the people, but instead she just thought of those people such as the workers, the tourists, the drunks, etc. etc. Ninetales understood anyways.
    I know what you mean, Ninetales replied.
    I wish I could just put them all to sleep... Hypno commented. Which I probably could do...
    But the captain might get mad if you do... Kelsey suggested.
    OK then, Ninetales offered, why don't we just look around?
    Let's not walk too much... Hypno hoped.

    So Silphia, Hypno, and Ninetales walked around some more. On their right they passed a swimming pool, which of course was more crowded than their initial spot. Around it, some people had their boomboxes out and were listening to music, and others were buying drinks from a nearby concession stand. Little kids occasionally tried to do all sorts of crazy dives into the pool, and some couples were passionately conversing--or even kissing in some cases. Silphia and her Pokemon weaved through this crowd, still remaining together.
    "Nine!!" Ninetales gave an annoying yelp and jumped to the side, then she growled.
    "Oh I'm sorry!" shouted a man standing next to Ninetales. Apparently he had just accidentally stepped on one of her tails. But Ninetales didn't seem to care whether it was an accident or not; she was even unable to control herself.
    "Nine!" Her eyes flaming red, the Ninetales fired a Flamethrower at the man.
    "Ow ow oww!" the man yelped, running around on fire then jumping into the pool. Ninetales fired another Flamethrower at him, making the water around him boil for a second or two.
    "Wait! Ninetales!" Silphia cried, wishing she would calm down.
    "**** you ****ing *****!!!" the man roared at Silphia upon surfacing from the water.
    Silphia ignored the man's very rude remark. Ninetales! ...No good. Ninetales' mind seemed to be closed to both Silphia and herself.
    "Ohh..." Silphia began to grow frustrated. Around her, people yelled, shrieked, or ran away.
    "Wait, Hypno!" Silphia called, but Hypno apparently could not hear. Hypno!
    Huh what huh? Hypno thought back.
    Maybe you can calm Ninetales down...
    All Hypno did was smirk at this request. Then she walked in, moving about in the hopes of Ninetales facing her. But Ninetales was failing around everywhere, roaring madly and blowing flames in random directions.
    "Hyp..." Hypno had an idea. A psychic attack would do it. Therefore, she used this to lightly bang a Ninetales tail on the floor. This got Ninetales' attention--Ninetales whpped around and faced Hypno, growling as staring at her, unable to distinguish between friend and victim.

    This was all Hypno needed. Hypno stared back, and she started swinging her pendulum... slowly even with the tension in the crowd. A soothing aura was embedded in these hypnotic waves, penetrating any barriers that surrounded Ninetales' confused mind. Within the next few moments, Ninetales' growling grew fainter, and the angry glimmer started to disappear from her eyes. Her eyes themselves seemed to grow heavier, and at the last moment a smile could be faintly detected. After the hypnotic waves ceased as well, Ninetales was in a happy state of sleep, and sighs of relief could be heard from the crowd.

    Then there was silence. Hypno slowly walked up to the sleeping Ninetales, until she knelt at last before her. Then, she carefully extended her hand until it came near that gentle-looking fox face. But then, in a moment of much surprise, Hypno snapped her fingers, and Ninetales sprang awake.
    "Nine?" Ninetales was just as confused as anyone would be after waking up from a hypnotic spell, but the good news was that she was back to normal.
    "Very impressive, very impressive," said a woman from somewhere in the crowd. This woman was applauding as well, and Kelsey recognized her voice...
    "Professor Willow?" Kelsey assumed.
    "Must I keep reminding you?" Willow replied as she started to emerge from the crowd. Before then Kelsey would have recognized the white hat floating amongst other heads, for she was quite tall. Or maybe it was because the hat perfectly contrasted her pitch-black hair, which was tied into a low, loose ponytail. The white "labcoat" she wore looked a lot more like a trenchcoat than anything else, and black boots just completed the contrast.
    "I have more than enough reason to believe that you are allowed to simply call me Vi," Willow continued as she stood next to Silphia. The two even seemed very much alike--about the same aura of some elusive power floated around them, and besides they both wore similar-looking glasses as well.
    "I thought you were busy...?" Silphia guessed.
    "It's a real shame that your telepathic powers only work with your Pokemon," Willow commented. "Some days I have so much to do that I have less than enough time for it all, and others I'm just... free."
    "Well anyways," Silphia continued in a nervous tone, "sorry about Ninetales... sometimes she..."
    "Yes," Willow interrupted and nodded. "A most unfortunate instinct of a Ninetales, to... overreact when someone grabs or steps on its tails. Also most unfortunate to have the tendency to curse those who do that."
    "I believe that forgiving, whether from victim or caster," Silphia replied, "is an effective way to remove a curse."
    "Heh, you know more about these spiritual matters than I do," Willow laughed. "Your Ninetales certainly is forgiving."

    "Nine! Nine... Nineee. Nine?" Ninetales felt more embarrassed and ashamed as time went by and she began to realize what she had done. Some people laughed and forgave her, others gave her dirty looks and walked away, and others just ignored her completely.
    "Anyways," Willow changed the subject, "why don't you come with me? I heard the S.S. Anne is a magnificent cruise ship, and perhaps we can find things that are more interesting than complaining about the noise."
    "All right," Silphia agreed. Ninetales and Hypno followed as well.
    "Nice Hypnosis by the way," Willow complimented Hypno.
    <"My pleasure,"> Hypno thanked.

    As the four of them walked along, a boy ran up to them...
    "Hello there Professor!" the boy greeted. "Remember me? You're the one who gave me my first Pokemon Sentret!"
    "Furret furret!" greeted a Furret that was behind the boy.
    "Andy Takeshi?" Willow said incredulously. "It's been five years since--it took me a while to recognize you." Then she turned to the Furret. "Yes, I definitely remember you as a little Sentret. And that time I caught you in the Ilex Forest."
    "Furr...?" The Furret cocked his head to the side, trying to remember when Willow caught him and when he first met his trainer.
    "We must be going now," Willow suggested. She, Silphia, Ninetales, and Hypno then walked away.
    "I can't believe she still remembers me..." the boy named Andy muttered. The distant-becoming group heard him though, and Willow smirked and Kelsey giggled.

    Miles leant against the cold rail that lined the deck of the ship. He looked out onto the city's harbour in an almost nostalgic state. His sight was darkening in the fading afternoon light. The cool sea breeze washed over his back as he rested against the only barrier separating him from the harbour's shallows.
    The sound of music and heavy voices filled the air above him. He was a servant of the ship by serving the many passengers that travelled abroad. He worked as the Assistant Chef of the SS Anne's catering service. He along with the SS Anne's catering service provided the meals and supplies for the ship's crew and passengers.

    Miles shifted his weight as he stood upright against the rail. He stood on one of the many decks surrounding the ship's structure. A single door sat behind him leading into a small storeroom where produce and other supplies were kept.
    The noise from the above and surrounding decks continued without any signs of fading. Being released from his duties prematurely and having no real prospects to follow, Miles was stranded until the ship began its departure.

    Seeing his desolate surroundings, Miles slumped against the rail and heaved a sigh. So, this is my great voyage… he thought in a dull mood. The cool sea breeze washed over the deck. A gentle mist was settling across the city's harbour. Miles looked on, admiring his view of the 'Electric City'. Guess it's time to say good-bye.
    Suddenly, a loud shout interrupted his thoughts. Several other shouts and cries followed the first and the sound of hurried footsteps echoed in the still night air. Miles abandoned his position and raced up onto higher ground. The greatest areas of the ship appeared unmoved by the sudden commotion.
    I wonder what's going on… he thought, as he finally reached the topmost deck.
    A large crowd had gathered, surrounding one of the ship's pools where the commotion had apparently originated. Several of the passengers were retreating from the pool's edge and begun conversing in low tones.
    Miles surveyed his surroundings until he found the source of the commotion. A man who had been witnessed to an aggressive conflict with another passenger's Pokémon was lying unmoved against the deck's floor. Several other passengers were crouched around him assisting in his recovery.
    "He was victim to a Flamethrower," a voice suddenly spoke behind him, "and it was a strong one at that!"
    Miles turned and looked at his partner. "Why would a Pokémon attack a passenger?" he asked.
    "Pokémon are great aren't they?" his partner replied, indirectly answering his question. "They defend themselves when they're in danger…or in a mood."
    Miles scratched his head as the man was finally brought into a sitting position. The crowd around the pool lessened and the liveliness of the event soon returned.
    "You're a lucky kid Miles," his partner began with another smile, "you get the whole night off while I have to go and serve customers!"
    Miles shrugged and returned the smile. "If you need any help I-"
    "Stop being such a Good Samaritan!" his partner cut in suddenly, waving his hand. "I can handle it."
    Without another word, his partner quickly turned and with a single wave disappeared into the crowds. Miles remained where he was unmoved. He had nothing to do and nowhere to go. The event carried on and Miles finally decided to return to his room.
    Miles was not particularly fond of large crowds or loud noise so the quiet confines of his room presented more than an ideal retreat.

    The night was becoming clearer as the light of the full moon washed over the ship. The cool sea breeze was ever present as the event continued into the night. The ship's crewmen and women were all preparing the SS Anne for its departure from the fabled 'Electric City', Vermillion.

    Miles undid his collar and pulled out his shirt as he entered the ship's lower quarters. Several passengers, crewmen and women were patrolling the corridors and other facilities as Miles entered the ninth floor. Many of the crewmen and women's quarters were located here.
    Politely greeting the few passengers passing by, Miles casually made his way to his room.
    A long sleek and beautiful creature lay curled upon his bed as he entered his quarters. Its bold blue skin reflected gently in the invading moonlight. Dark blue jewels decorated its body as it continued to sleep in its trainer's hold. A small single horn protruded from its front above its closed eyes. Two light wings folded against its side as it slept.
    Miles gently crept against the bed's side in an attempt of not waking his first and only Pokémon.
    Resting against the bed's side as he sat in the cabin's darkness, Miles closed his eyes and listened to the noise and the commotion above him fade away.

    Al finished his work. He stood up leaning his body weight against his mop and wiped some sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand. As he brought down his hand he rubbed his face and then his eyes. He is done cleaning the decks for now, he'll have to wait until later on to go back and clean them once more.

    He slowly moved his eyes around, it's night already. He didn't even feel the time pass by. He also just now noticed some big commotion going on around the pool area on the deck he is on. Good thing he finished cleaning over there already otherwise he'll have to deal with the crowd of people there, and he doesn't want that.

    His Slowpoke slowly crawled out of his hiding spot and looked up at Al with its dim expression across its dopey face. Al looked back and slightly lowered his head to see his pokemon. They stared at each other for a bit when Al slightly moved his head to the left indicating that it's time to leave. He walked over to his bucket and picked it up and carried the mop up against his shoulder with some water still dripping down his back. As he began passing the cabin of the top deck he slowly turned to look out into the sea. He realized that the ship is now leaving Vermillion City. Nothing new for Al though. He has done this plenty of times and the famed port city looks nothing special to him, just a bunch of lights and buildings.

    Al can start to hear the music getting louder and the parties now just going livelier. He moved his eyes into the window of the cabin and can see the people talking, laughing, dancing, drinking, and just having fun.

    He stood there with a vacant look stamped on his face with his slightly hunched back of never walking up straight. He started to daydream again about him going into that party.

    Al began to wonder why he is daydreaming this and just continues to stare inside the cabin like some sort of ghost envy of the living.

    As the custodian just stood there the remaining water on the mop continued to drip down and fall on his back making his work outfit a bit wet. He didn't seem to pay attention though, neither does his Slowpoke.

    ((Sorry i'm late posting. I have some personal family matters at the moment that make it hard for me to get on often, so don't mind me if i seem to be taking a while to reply.)

    Fein rushed back and forwards in the engine room, heaving levers and twisting various cogs and pipes. Three older workers shouted orders to him in constant sequence, never giving him a chance to rest. He was sweaty and extremely tired, playing with the temptation to call out his pokemon. He battled it off however, knowing that it wasn't fair to make such little pokemon work a hard job. It was times like this that he wished he had a Machamp. All the older engineers had large pokemon working with them, which made their jobs much easier.

    Fein ran down on end of the engine room to check the gauges. The ship was leaving and the pumps began to start up, a Snorlax in the opposite corner to Fein starting to push down a heavy bolt at the command of its master. Fein sighed as he realised he was going to have to report upstairs later on to see if he was needed anywhere else. He often resented his decision to take on three jobs at once and immediately regretted the moment when he had told the captain he would 'help out wherever help was needed'.

    Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he brushed the damp hair from his eyes and turned to Cogned, the Engineer in charge down here. He slowly walked towards the large pot-bellied man who was drenched in sweat and oil and tapped him on the small of the back, as high as he could get to the man's shoulder.

    "Cogned, I'm gonna take off. See ya later!"

    The man turned around, his slit-like squinted eyes observing the young man before him. He shook his head with force, spraying sweat all over Fein's dirty clothes and smiled, taking deep breaths.

    "A'right then Gray. Take care, you do."

    Fein ran to the stairs, bathed in a red light, and climbed them, opening the door and disappearing into the corridor above. He took off his dirty outfit, slinging it over his shoulder and heading to the crew quarters, feeling the cold breeze slamming into his hot body. It was sweet relief for five hours work in a boiling room that smelled of grimy men. He hurried up some more steps to the tenth floor but bumped into a fellow worker, Tommy.

    "Oh, Fein, I was just coming for you. You need to go to your room and get changed. They want us looking perfect for the big party. Hurry up, man, you don't want to be late. You'll be fired if you are! Catch ya later!"

    Tommy ran off leaving Fein feeling deflated and exhausted. He managed a smile, however. Tommy was always telling him he would be fired if he were late, and yet Fein had never been fired, despite never showing up on time. He was very disorganised, but being a hard worker seemed to make up for that. Fein headed for the stairs and the ninth floor on which his room was situated. He was separated from his family but he didn't mind. They would all be working and he preferred to be away from them in his own time.

    He finally got to his room and opened the door, taking his pokeballs from his belt and releasing his two best friends, Charmeleon and Torrent. Charmeleon headed straight for the corner where two bowls were filled with pokemon food. Torrent jumped up onto Fein's bed and started running in circles, preferring his own company to that of his larger, fiery friend. Fein threw the dirty shirt and sheet into his washing basket and took a quick shower before getting changed into his usual performance attire that consisted of his normal clothes. He encouraged Torrent to eat before leaving for the party.

    "Come on, Torrent, eat it all like Charmeleon. You gotta be ready for our performance. I don't know who we're working with so be prepared."

    Sorry I've been lagging a bit. Anyways, I'd also like to say that I'll be gone from Saturday until Sunday August 6th. Presbyterian Youth Conference ;) should be good. Continue until then, maybe try to slow the pace a bit, lol I'll have essays to read when I get back. Also feel free to control Bria for a while since I won't be around.

    --------In the Lounge--------------------------------------------------------------------------

    The dull roar from outside eventually began to subside as the sun crawled lower and lower and eventually sat just above the horizon. Bria glanced at her watch once more, judging that it was finally safe to come out. 6:44, just enough time to rush down there.

    "C'mon guys, we're going," she stood abruptly, taking two pokeballs out of her bag. Narik chirped to wish her new companions farewell before disappearing into the red and white sphere. Poliwag eagerly jumped up from her chair, eager to finally be leaving the boring hideout.

    Bria pushed the door open, seeing that the upper deck was still crowded but less unbearable than before, and she stepped out and made her way towards the stairs she knew would be at the bow. Pushing past tottering drunks and people taking pictures of the lovely, lit-up Vermilion harbor, she finally made it to the stairwell, sliding down the railing of 8 flights of stairs then dashing to the middle of the ship to get backstage. She quickly threw her bag off and changed into her performance outfit in the dressing room, then quickly left to see Mona, the make-up artist that wore entirely too much make-up herself.
    "Bria, you're late again!" Mona cried, running powder blush to her face as Bria stood before her. The stage make-up was dramatic, blue eye shadow to match her outfit complete with stick-on rhinestones here and there and dark outlines for her eyes. The older woman applied the look as quickly as possible, complaining as usual about how Bria's eyes twitched and her tardiness. At least she didn't go on first; she could afford to be a little late.
    "There, now go!" Mona pushed her away and smiled, teasing the girl as in her typical ways.

    Her brother Jayden was there as well. "Where have you been?" he demanded.
    "Where have I been? What about you? I'm not the one who missed practice!" Bria threw accusations back at him. The two felt the ship rock slightly; they knew that they had set sail by now. Days at land were always stressful on the both of them; Jayden knew that and also knew better than to argue about it. He sighed.
    "Sorry Bri. I should've been there. Let someone know where you're at next time though, I was looking everywhere for you."
    Bria almost laughed at her brother, she appreciated his concern. Seriously Jay, where can possibly I go? It's not like I'll get lost on the boat! It was normal for him to be worried like that though.

    The two could hear the crowd clapping outside, and they knew that the cruise director that introduced them would soon leave the stage. They were the first in a line of singing, dancing and comedic acts. "C'mon, we're up."
    They stepped onto the stage, completing their routine with ease. The only hard part about it for Bria was trying to keep the fake smile painted on her face while looking out to the crowd, especially the group of girls in the front row that giggled while watching Jayden. It was like second nature to her and her brother, she was only glad that they were starting to work on a new one to replace it. Finally they were finished, and they took their bows before breaking off and dashing off the stage away from the cheering crowd. Matias, a comedic man would go on after them. Now all that Bria and Jayden had to do was wait outside of the theater as all of the performers eventually would, to say goodbye to the guests as they left.

    But until then, Bria waiting backstage, letting Narik and Poliwag out once more to keep her company. Jayden had pokemon as well, a Persian named Caspian that sat with them.
    Narik crawled on the ground in front of Bria who sat in her chair. The pokemon was more fidgety than usual, and her chirping became more of a cry then happy singing.
    "Poli!" Poliwag scolded again, knowing what Narik wanted. Bria knew too. She was willing to go back there as well, now that they were at sea in the dark, the lounge would make a rather nice place to hide out. Nicer than in her windowless cabin many decks down anyway.
    "Poliwag, you can stay with Caspian if you're really that against going." Bria said suddenly, making Poliwag's expression change from annoyed to saddened.
    "Cheer up, we won't be long," Bria patted Poliwag's egg-shaped head. He sighed, but agreed to stay with Caspian, the Persian and Poliwag got along well regardless. Bria changed and took Narik with her in her pokeball while leaving Poliwag with Caspian backstage. She stood outside the theater to thank the guests for coming to see the show, ready to make a quick escape to the 14th deck, which would be rather quiet if she managed to get there before the crowd from the show did.

    It's the same routine over and over again. Clean the rooms, clean the decks, then clean the theater. Always the same thing all the time.

    Al found himself slowly making his way to the bottom floors. No one seemed to notice him other then a few drunks here and there that said jokes about him as he walked down from the upper deck to the bottom ones. Oblivious to most things and too lazy to walk all the way down to the cellar, Al went into a restroom where he took the bucket and dumped it into a sink and slowly filled it up again with people staring at him as if this is some sort of joke.

    After awhile he managed to make it down, by the time he made it to the Ship's stage where most live entertainment take place, the show was already over. Al sighed and leaned against the wall with his mop over his shoulder still and a full bucket of water now.

    He watched the people leave and some of the performers greeting them by the door saying their thanks and such, Al didn't really care much. However he did wish he came here earlier just so he can see the show, whatever it may have been.

    He took a deep breath as he tried to imagine something in his mind, he wondered what the show would of been. His eyes moved to the ground where he just stared into space with his Slowpoke by his feet. When Al looked back up however, everyone was gone. He slowly walked to the enterance and peered inside just to make sure that was everyone. The theater is empty seems all of the entertainment is done for tonight. He wondered how long he's been waiting.

    Al made his way to the stage. It's dark and quiet, the only light left in the theater are the dull lights in the hallway and the spotlight left on for Al to see what he is doing as he mopped the stage. The only noise heard is him slowly mopping and the small splashes of water he makes when he rinses the mop in the bucket and to pick up more water.

    As he worked Al began to wonder. He wondered what it would be like to be a performer up on this stage with everyone looking at him, how it would feel. Would he be nervous? Scared? His heart began to pound a bit by the very thought of all of this.

    Then he stopped himself with his daydreaming and just stared at himself mopping the floor. All he has to do is clean, that's it. Pokey slowly crawled into the bucket of water and stuck its head out watching Al work with his dimwitted eyes.
