It's... up to you; some people will say don't, others will say do so. Either way, consider doing other stuff like Pokeathlon and the Battle Frontier, as well as smaller sidequests like the shining leaf, safari zone, getting all the gym leaders' phone numbers, catching all the legendary Pokemon...
... or do that after another playthrough. (And if you have a game to transfer your Pokemon to while you restart then you might try that too). But this thread doesn't serve too much of a purpose - if you are bored and want to start a new game instead of doing the other stuff in it, then by all means go ahead! You can also consider taking up a challenge (look at the Challenges section). Anyways, thread closed.
