steelix moveset

Steelix is going to be my new physical tank, i just haven't quite found the right moveset. any suggestions?

id say, use this moveset:

Steelix @Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 76 Def / 180 SDef
Impish/Relaxed Nature
-Stealth Rock
-Roar/Toxic/Rest
-Earthquake
-Explosion/Gyro Ball


steelixs first goal is to set up stealth rocks.
then you can fire stabbed earthquakes.
gyro ball is great due to steelixs horrible speed.

Yes, explosion is to go out with a band when there's no hope of survival. On steelix, I see no use for sp. Defense EVs with I believe 65 base SpD. I'd just buff up that defense so that it can take the EQ attacks that can hurt it. Pw, your moveset is fine though, forgot about toxic, just make sure bliss is gone first is you use it.

Neither do I, but no wall lasts forever...I think explosion should at least be considered...and I honestly don't like stone edge on it. Steelix can only take so many hits, and the chance of missing + low PP isn't great on a wall IMO. EQ MUST be on steelix for STAB and it beats fire types. Steelix is actually rather diverse, so you can use a variety of different things...ever tried a CBer steelix? Who knows, it could work...though that is simply a theory...but with trick room...I'll stop there.
