Strange Animal Deaths All Over The World?

Recently, scores of animals, birds, cows, and now, thousands of fish have mysteriously died, some with explanations, and some without. Is the irregular weather to blame, or it is something else, something worse?

Weather is the most logical explanation I can think of to be honest. If there was something in the air or in the water, then humans would be suffering too, I think.​

Most likely cause is weather, especially if the damage is limited to just birds and fish. :/

Now if we start seeing mammals drop dead, then that's a problem...since they're in the same family from a scientific standpoint. XD

This kind of makes sense. But what would make the oxygen levels drop?

It should be noted that birds are very susceptible to any sort of change in weather - birds can die of shock if their environment changes too quickly. Fish are even moreso - probably what has happened is that these animals have been exposed to some sort of quick, radical change in the weather, causing them to go into shock.

The death of the cows sounds like an unrelated incident and thus I cannot comment.

Im thinking of a verse from Revelations about the killing of the birds, fish and animals before the saved are taken from this planet.

Sadly, i can't remember the particular verse. A friend of mine mentioned it to me a few days ago.

Edit - Personally im thinking of making me a safe room and stocking up on all the essentials - Ammo, guns, non-perashable foods, water, medical supplies, porn, and extra batterys for my DS so i can play my pokemonz after the power goes out forever. One of these items was mentioned in complete sarcasm. Care to guess which one?

I'll have to go find another link, but today in Wisconsin, 200 Cows (basically this rancher's entire herd) were found dead as well. :0

Sorry, what? Oh, right birds and fish dying randomly. Probably weather like everyone else stated, but Global Warming is might be a contributing factor.

A new virus is probably making its rounds. In a few years, scientists should have isolated it in laboratories and be able to study it.

Forests are cut down, not always replaced.

Oxygen levels historically were much higher on the planet 300 million years ago. I don't know what caused them to drop, but I do not think anyone was cutting down forests back then:

There was a story that broke a few days ago from Iran, that 15 lions had to be euthanized because of a bacterial infection that was capable of jumping to humans. Hmm.

As for the rest of the animals, I think it's mostly because of our unusually cold December.

Uh... the world was basically covered in a giant swamp back then? 200 million years ago the world was full of desert, but there weren't any people to knock down the trees back then either. Levels of oxygen and other nutrients in the air fluctuate in time, and considering that if it were so drastic as to cause thousands of animal deaths, humanity would be at least in some way adversely affected, in addition to thousands of other animals. Think a Lake Nyos disaster on a slower, but worldwide scale.

Anyhow, I honestly think that the animals dying is of completely natural causes. I really can't see how anything else could apply - there hasn't been any proof of toxicity or anything in the animals...

It's too close to 2012 for things like this to start happening. Obviously, the majority of people who posted here are pretty level headed and don't automatically jump on the 'World is Ending' band-wagon like a lot of people have started doing.

I think that either the government is trying to scare people into fearing the end, or they are trying a new weapon of sorts out.

I know that there were tests done that say it was non-chemical, but all I'm saying is, who does those tests?

I don't think it's a sign that the world is going to end, but perhaps a sign that humanity is losing it's sliver of sanity.

I am surprised that this thread wasn't made weeks ago when the first such deaths occurred...lol I was going to make one on this topic but I was sure someone had beaten me but guess I was wrong...
Well I read it's natural for mass amounts of animals to die off at once I mean thousands of humans die every day do to natural causes (old age, weather, disease,etc.) the same can be applied to animals in mass die off only this is the first time they report such deaths or found them...though I can't help but find this kind of mysterious like there is something else going on...
