Samus "Mimi" Aran
~
The trek across the forest was almost serene for Mimi, despite the fall of raindrops and rumbling of the sky that punctuated her every step. There was no tiring in her limbs since the vigorous fighting in the clearing with the koopa army, while those around her seemed to suffer slightly from fatigue; whether it was from a tiny stunt in their walk or a heavy breath after many; Allan didn't seem to suffer from any such thing, perhaps due to the physical prowess her was gifted with thanks to Lucario, nor did the army woman who walked far behind her.

As Mimi's mind began to move to the advantages of her suit and physiology, she noticed Anna's watching after another turn of her head, after a few hundred paces to avoid suspicion of her own vigilance. She'd been looking for a long while; not that Mimi could blame her, for she wasn't the most inconspicuous figure of the group. Even her physical appearance's influence was affected by the rage and stress brought on by the previous battle; that was all it had taken to switch her from eager to grounded in the situation. Or a bit paranoid, as a remnant from her time spent studying survival in the event of an apocalypse.

Allan seemed to accept her presence without much thought, perhaps from trust brought on by their brief battling together in the clearing, but he, too, got angered when the Beedrills attacked and attempted to seize leadership. Perhaps it was her own ego, but Mimi didn't think the boy could think far enough ahead to combat the swathes of monsters that lurked in every shadow; he'd said so himself. The other boy, dressed in the blue jumpsuit, seemed rather quiet, and Tenshi was gloriously shutting up for the first time since their fight.

Still, the constant stare bugged Mimi; regardless of her confidence, there was something unnervnig about having somebody armed to the teeth glaring at her. Probably a result of the random attack from Tenshi; any more mad-people could deal with him directly, just so he could feel on the receiving end of stupidity. After another hundred paces of twitching her eyes, Mimi promised herself not to get annoyed by Anna's staring. After another hundred, she began thinking of some kind of witty one liner.

Mimi slowed her stride to walk just ahead of Anna, turning her head slightly to the side to speak to her. "The armor won't become see-through, no matter how hard you stare." She stated casually. Maybe an attempt at humor would make Anna momentarily less dense.

Chapter One:
The Hunt Begins

Part Five

"Assassin's Creed? I have, though I enjoy Arcade, RPG, and Strategy games. Anyways, I know what you're saying." Tenshi finished off the apple, tossing the core lazily on the ground behind him. Slowly he fell behind in the group, deciding he could become more helpful and keep watch behind them, to prevent any sneak attacks from behind. Who am I kidding... How can I help other than being the 'meatshield'? I lost... Maybe I'm weaker than I thought... Tenshi exhaled quietly, his breath faintly visible in the cold storm.

For a while, Tenshi had grown quiet. It didn't take much common sense to show that the loss had his him pretty hard. He decided to simply look onward, though something tingled his mind. It seemed to come from the others, what was it? Emotions. The answer snapped into his head as quickly as he'd asked.

This was... Interesting. Could he do this on command? He became distracted as this sense pointed at something between Snake and Samus. However, Mimi seemed to move in on resolving whatever it was. Tenshi picked up speed, and seemingly with good timing. "Hey... I think I found something...!"

Tenshi motioned to the side toward the group as he rushed over to a mountain wall, with a cave entrance to boot. "Let's check for anything dangerous, if this provides safe shelter we'll have a place to rest, and I can start a fire to keep us warm..." Tenshi took a step or two into the cave, his finger lighting up with P.K. Fire, using it to illuminate the dark cave. "Anyone want to come check it out?"

Drew Diamond
Week 2 - Stormy
Before Drew could see the the result of his arrow shot, a gust of wind pushed him and caused him to stumble off the ledge he was on. This resulted in him free-fall through the air, facing up towards the dark, ominous clouds in the sky with his back being pulled by gravity. In his mind, he told himself not to look down but his curiosity got the best of him and he saw that he was plummeting, fast towards the ground. He tried to orient his body towards what he thought was up and without any other ideas, he pulled out his Deku Leaf and waited until he got close towards the ground before using it as a parachute, holding it over his head. As the leaf caught air under it, it jerked Drew upward, rejecting his momentum, then it began to slowly glide. As he looked down for a safe landing area, he saw that he was still on the south-southwestern side of the mountain. He expected a gentle landing but instead had bad timing and foot placement so as he made contact with the ground it was a cross between a landing and a impact, with Drew rolling in the dirt. So much for that long climb he thought to himself oblivious now to the giants that were still nearby but not in eyesight. As he looked up to get his bearings he saw a yellowish figure running towards him. He deposited his Deku leaf that saved his life and he readied his sword and leaned forward, prepared for an attack similar to the swarm he encountered earlier. He held his sword down to his side as he remembered that there were other people on the island although he hadn't met any yet. He didn't dismiss the possibility but raised his sword again, ready to strike just in case.

Anna Volynsky
Anna shifted uncomfortably as the Samus character slowed to match her own pace. Maybe she hadn't been as subtle as she hoped in studying the armor? She cursed herself and kept her gaze locked forward before her new company opened her mouth. Or, she thought she did. You couldn't see her mouth of course, it was hidden under the damn helmet. What she said, however, removed all doubt that Anna hadn't been subtle enough.

Mimi, turning her head slightly to the side to speak to her. "The armor won't become see-through, no matter how hard you stare." She stated casually. Anna flushed a little bit, more embarrassed that she was caught looking, rather than the act itself. She should have known to be more sneaky about it. Chucking her apple into the woods, she quickly cupped her hands to gather the falling rain water. The once sticky apple juice washed off as she rubbed her hands together, kind of a busy work while she thought of something to say. There was no denying she had been glaring at her. It was kind of hard to make a valid excuse to say otherwise. No, it might be best to just acknowledge it and move on.

"Yes, but it doesn't mean I don't want to see what's underneath it any less," Anna answered the tall woman, her head craning to look up at where her eyes should be and completely oblivious to how awkward the statement might actually have sounded.

Almost out of nowhere, the annoying one from before popped up between them. "Hey... I think I found something...!" The man blurted out, causing Anna to jump a little bit at the unexpected tension breaker. What was this guy's deal? ADHD? Just as he came up to the two women, he bounded off to what looked like a cave entrance. Maybe it was a good thing he was all over the map, because he might have found just what they were looking for. He quickly suggested that somebody else go with him to check it out. That was not a prospect that she looked forward to very much.

Anna walked past the man and stood at the mouth of the cave. They were a group of superhumans, what did they really have to fear? Besides, going in a team of two was far more dangerous than just heading in as a group. Pulling a grenade from her pouch, Anna judged the cave was strong enough to sustain such a blast. She yanked the pin and gently tossed it into the cave. Three seconds passed as nothing happened, then a blinding explosion illuminated the cave and gusting a hot strong wind from within its depths. That should take care of anything that might be hiding.

"There, all clear."

Samus "Mimi" Aran
~
Mimi's helmet was silent as Anna used the falling rain to wash her hands, no response coming from her lips throughout the process. At least her ability to make others uncomfortable hadn't waned since arriving on the island, although most of the time it was for reasons involving much more violence and candid words. There were brief thoughts that pondered the possibility that Anna was something of a shy girl, having been embroiled in the chaos unexpectedly. Perhaps she, too, had little experience with violence and it would wear on her shoulders.

The answer that came quelled those thoughts thoroughly, as Anna instead admitted to her faux pas and met Mimi's visor with determined eyes. Mimi's stride didn't break from the rythm she'd become used to, but it was enough to change her mood to a slightly better one. Just as the armored woman was about to come up with a response with her smirking lips, Tenshi came blundering up again with the intent of interrupting Mimi's attempts at conversation, just as had happened with Allan when they attempted to retreat.

Mimi would have come up with a snippy response to the foreign boy with a sense of social norms befitting a beaver, but corrected herself; beavers tended to work towards a group effort. As well as Anna's following actions, the need to come up with a good response fled. Mimi stood to the side as Anna cleared the cave's interior with a well-thrown grenade, with a simple statement afterwards that would hopefully keep Mimi's pet quiet for a short while. Her smirk was no less smug than before, at that moment, as she waited for Anna to return to her place in the walking order and faced her properly.

"Well-handled." Mimi complimented the shorter woman, as she reached with a free hand up to the edge of her helmet. "As for looking beneath the armor...how about just the helmet, for now?" With a finger-push followed by a small series of clicks, the golden helmet began to release in her palm. Mimi hadn't been expecting to reveal her appearance so soon, for fear of attacks more than shyness, but her shields would be able to fend off most sudden attacks regardless.

Long locks of golden hair bounced free of the helmet's restraints, their previous ponytail shape disappearing along with it to land in straightened cascades, with dyed-pink tips falling to the armored Mimi's hips. She blinked once to get used to the light, with soft sapphire eyes gazing out from beneath her bangs, that were soon pushed aside by her free hand. With a charming smile on her pale lips, Mimi met Anna's gaze directly and arched a slender eyebrow.

"Like what you see?"
