I went into Ilex Forest and helped the guy with his Farfetch'd and got HM01.
Got through Ilex Forest.
Got to Goldenrod City.
Went to National Park.
Participated in the Bug Catching Contest.
Caught a Butterfree and named it Jordan.
Trained Jordan and Megan.
Went into the Goldenrod City gym.
Beat Whitney and got the Plain Badge.
Got the Spraybottle.
Got rid of Sudowoodo.
Got to Ecruteak City.
Met Bill.
Went back to Goldenrod City and picked up Eevee from Bill and named it Aaron.
Went back to Ecruteak city and beat Grinch.
Went into the Ecruteak City gym, beat Morty and got the Fog Badge.
Beat the Kimono Girls and got HM03.
Went to Olivine City.
Went up the Glitter Lighthouse and met Jasmine.
Trained Megan, Jordan and Aaron and Megan evolved.
Got to Cianwood City.
Went into Cianwood City gym, beat Chuck and got the Storm Badge.
Got HM02.
Got and gave the Secretmedicine to Jasmine.
Went into the Olivine City gym, beat Jasmine and got the Mineral Badge.

Should I mention that I really love route 41? So much easy training...
Anyhow, we beat up everyone in Ecruteak, got surf, then proceeded to collect a natu (Spiroch, her name, relating to xatu's time-viewing abilities- Spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future). Raised her to the same level as the team (42? ... yes, 42), her evolving in the process. Went and got R.Gyara, then proceeded to demolish the TR Base- catching the middle electrode whilst at it (TError), it's Cristmas Present being Freedom from Team Rocket. We then proceeded to find out that pre-genIII electrode is one of the most pathetic electric types ever, because it cannot learn any electric moves via level up. Which makes you sort of wonder how they were powering the Generator. But anyway. Raised TError also to level 42 (after replacing tackle with headbutt, because tackle is just useless before it's revamp), realised that fly would be more useful than teleport (you pick where you want to go, it is useful in battle) so set TError on the Cianwood gym, then collected HM02. Spirochri leveled up during our fight with the Mahogany gym, so we went and leveled up everyone else, then set her against Pryce. Do not underestimate the power of her Future Sight/Fly combo.
So, to the next gym.

Update #4 on White.

Explored both Mistralton and Wellspring Caves as well as Rts 17 and 18.
Went through Twist Mountain, and Artic evolved into Beartic.
Took on the gym, Brycen was easy peasy - Ice is weak to so many types.
Team Plasma is causing trouble again...
Beat up the Dragonspiral Tower and Relic Castle.
Got the Dark Stone, then headed to Opelucid City.
Did some vitamin shopping at the mall, then took on the final gym.
Iris was soloed by Artic's Icicle Crash.
Grinded through Victory Road and saved at the Pokemon League after some moveset editing.

First update. I am getting through this game very slowly, real life is getting ni the way.

Started my journey, naming myself Holly. I chose Chikorita for my starter but wasn't satisfied with her. On the way to Cherrygrove I found a wild stantler. I promptly caught him and named him Rudolph. Delivered the mystery egg and fought a mysterious trainer who's name was simply The Grinch. After training in Sprout Tower I challenged Falkner.

Rudolph stomped pidgey away easily. Pidgteotto was abit trickier. The first Hypnosis missed and Rudolph lost half his health. Luckily the next hit and three stomps later I had the Zephyr Badge.

Prof. Elm called and gave me the mysterious egg, After running around for a bit a togepi hatched and I named her Angel. I trainer Angel for awhile and then left Violet City. Fighting trainers along the way I reached Union Cave. Got though the cave fairly easily.

In Azalea Town Team Rocket was rampant. So me and the town's local old timer, Kurt, headed off to the well to help out. Unfortunately Kurt hurt his back after falling down the well so it was up to me. Angel beat every single grunt with her Extrasensory and Proton didn't have a chance. His Zubat fell to an extrasensory but it took two for his Koffing. Now I can challenge the town's gym

Bugsy

Rudolph used stomp agains Scyther and that got him down 1/3 of health. But U-turn halved Rudolphs health. Metapod and Kakuna both fell to stomps though. Now angel againts Scyther. Her attacks did little damge so I healed Rudolph and unfortunately Angel fainted. Now it was both our final pokemon. Scyther used U-Turn and Rudolphs health was 25/50. A stomp got Scyther into red and my Shell Bell healed Rudolph 2 HP. U-Turn again got Rudolph to 2/50 HP. The last stomp and I had the Hive badge.

After this battle I healed and headed into Ilex Forest. The Grinch stopped me but his poison pokemon were ni match for Angel's extrasensory. Rudolph finished off Quilava with a Hypnosis/Stomp combo.

Now I am waiting for night so I can catch my next team meber, Oddish.

Ahhh I've been playing through this challenge a lot recently but with no time to post my updates - basically I've reached the moment when the bomb goes off in Lake Valor, so roughly 2/3 of the way through story-wise I think? I've added more to my team and done some evolving (and a lot of grinding, mainly in Iron Island with Riley), so now my current team as of beating Byron is:

Final Update (#5) on White. Challenge complete!

Elite Four Time!
Caitlin: soloed by Monarch - Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance x2, Bug Buzz OHKOed all.
Grimsley: Angel took down Scrafty, Liepard, and Krookodile with Surf, Holly OHKOed Bisharp with Fire Blast.
Marshall: Holly beat Throh and Conkeldurr with Air Slash, Beartic finished off Sawk with Icicle Crash, and Prickle beat Mienshao with a Sunny Day+Solarbeam combo.
Shauntal: Beartic took down Cofagrigus with Shadow Claw, Holly beat Chandelure with Air Slash, and Prickle Giga Drained Jellicent and Golurk.
After using all my Rare Candies to get everyone to L50 but Angel (L49), I caught Zekrom with the Master Ball.
N was really tough. Angel beat Reshiram and Klinklang with +6 Surf, Holly took out Zoroak with Focus Blast, Prickle easily beat Carracosta with Giga Drain, Rudolph was able to 2HKO Vanilluxe with Return, and after Archeops decimated the rest of my team, I brought back Angel in to Surf to victory.
Now Ghetsis: Angel beat Cofagrigus, Bouffalant, and Eelektross with +6 Surf, then fell to Hydregion. Holly was beat as well after putting a Focus Blast in there, but Rudolph was able to finish it with Jump Kick. Seismitoad was then easily OHKOed by Prickle, and Beartic finished off Bisharp for the win.

Yeah, I finally planned out a team for the challenge on my Ruby game.

I started my game and chose Mudkip. Beat May and caught myself a Poochyena called Wolfa. grinded it a bit and went on with my adventure. Saved right before the exit of the petalburg woods. I'll catch a Wingull later today!

Okay, so I started this a while back, but I ended up procrastinating on updating until I had enough pics for a decent length update. Anyway, I decided to hack in one team member after each gym...So, without further ado.

I chose Mudkip as my starter and easily dispatched the Zigzagoon attacking Professor Birch. I defeated May's Treecko easily and got my pokedex. Helped Wally get his Ra- you know how all this stuff goes.

I had to beat up the trainers on the route east of town before I fought Roxanne because otherwise Chris would've reached level 17 before evolving, which would mean no mud shot.

Rescued Peeko, forgot to get cut...blah blah blah.

Headed down towards Dewford and decided that this was probably the best place to get Regice. And so Snow joined the team. I delivered the letter to Steven in the cave, got a TM I'll never use.

He was actually kind of tough, well...not really. I just tried fighting him with an ice type with not so amazing physical defense.

I decided that now would be the perfect time to get my Meditite, a gift from Brawly. Then I headed off to Slateport.

I easily defeated Team Aqua and delivered the Devon Goods. May didn't put up much of a fight, so on to Mauville.

I beat Wally and a bunch of other trainers as prep for the next gym and...

Oh right, I have a ground type...

Headed north and caught Comet the Stantler on the ash route. Went to that place with the scientist and Team Magma. Chased them back to Mount Chimney.

That was easy.

Headed down to Lavaridge Town, lost to the gym a couple of times, gave up and taught Chris Rollout.

Saved and turned off.

Went to New Bark Town.
Took my first step into Kanto.
Made my way to and through Victory Road.

As Noel explored the desert, he wasn't too taken with the harsh sands there. There were no places like this back in Johto. As he defeated countless numbers of trainers and wild Pokemon, he came across a large ruin deeper in the desert. He entered, only to find harsh swirling sand that would suck you into the floor below if you weren't careful. There was also a hiker who offered him a fossil. There weren't any fossil Pokemon in Johto, so this was quite intriguing to Noel. But he knew there were fossils from Kanto. He couldn't remember the names of them, but assumed they were the ones here. After all, Unova was a city based region. There couldn't be any fossils here! He took the Lid Fossil, assuming it would behold a Kabuto. When he took it to be revived, he was disappointed to find that it was a Tirtouga. He didn't want to just box it, though. It was a fossil...and those are quite rare. So he decided he'd keep this little guy, in hopes it could prove him wrong about the Pokemon of the Unova region. We'll just see...

Oh and I beat Elesa. Did I mention that? Cause I did. That's kinda important. Yep.

Right, done a fair bit more of the game now, getting close to finishing! Basically caught Snover and evolved it, beat Snowpoint Gym, lol'd at Barry failing vs Galactic lady, beat team plasma and ~~accidentally~~ killed Dialga. After trawling through more story stuff, beat Volkner VERY easily (that guy should not be #8), got Waterfall from Jasmine, surfed over to Victory Road and saved in front. I detest Victory Road so it might be a few days before I get round to doing this part. :p Also got a lucky egg and did a lot of grinding ready for the league (literally hours worth, I don't want to have to go back and do it later. :p).

Well, it turns out that I can't get a Stantler in FireRed to breed and trade over, and the only way for me to be able to get one to my LeafGreen cartridge would be to beat the Elite Four in my Emerald which I really don't feel like doing right now :/ So in order to do the challenge, I guess I'll be doing this on Diamond.
