I believe that to be a vast overstatement. :P

If anything, the problem was that the water encounters are so bland. Wingulls and Tentacools everywhere. Other than that, you surfed at a faster speed than in any other Pokémon game (to my knowledge), you got to listen to great music, and you got pretty much an open world to explore at your leizure, complete with diving and regi puzzles.


Blaziken is overpowered anyway.

Oh gods, Basculin are boring.

Judging from the Pokédex data extracted from the demo, no Pokémon are added to Hoenn's fauna outside of cross-gen evolutions. Which is a shame.
