I was able to try this series out when 1.5 released,and i loved it. I also played my first Final Fantasy game on that day,so you could imagine what i did for most of my summer. :P go play Kingdom Hearts nao!

If you have a ps3,then i would suggest getting 1.5,since its got the first KH and Chain of Memories on it.(play 1 before Coh) from there,you could wait for 2.5 to come out,since it has 2 and Birth by Sleep on it.

if you wanna understand the story,get the first few games. i'm still kinda new to the series though.
