The Adventures of Flint and Volkner
    PROLOGUE
Before Flint and Volkner became famous trainers, they went on an adventure together to explore the lands of Sinnoh. The pair had just arrived in Twinleaf Town where their journey was about to begin. They had both finished their education and were at the desired age to begin travelling, 10. They were the perfect tag team and both had strong ambitions and goals of one day becoming great trainers. They even thought about owning a tag team gym together, but somehow, they could never settle on the type.
Flint had always had a fascination for fire types while Volkner took a desire for electric types. Flint chose Magby as his starter pokemon while Volkner chose Elekid as his starter. So, they decided to have different careers when they were older.
Once they had arrived in Twinleaf town, they noticed something strange and peculiar about the surroundings. Something had changed since their last visit. There were now large clumps of snow, piled in places around the town. It was very unusual indeed. The only place known to have snow in Sinnoh was the route leading up to Snowpoint City.
A young child sprinted along the path. He seemed like he was in a rush, but why? Flint and Volkner rushed after the kid, wanting to know what the hurry was. Up ahead, he was standing with his parents, one who seemed rather familiar. "I know him," Volkner said, pointing to the father, "He's Palmer, The Battle Tower Tycoon. He is one inspiring person."
Volkner desperately wanted an autograph from the famous man. "Could I have your autograph?" he asked as he approached him and his family.
"Not right now," he said, "Professor Rowan, the professor from Sandgem Town is departing Sinnoh today and we are just here to farewell him."
"Now settle down, James," the mother said to the little child as he was becoming more and more restless by the second. Flint gave a little laugh at the kid's eagerness to go swimming in the Lake of Verity, which was just up ahead.
"Go Swellow," Professor Rowan said, sending a large bird-like pokemon out of its ball, "See you guys again in 5 years, I've heard there is a disturbance in the Hoenn region and I must investigate it."
Palmer's family gave a wave as Professor Rowan disappeared with his Swellow. "Now... Time for that autograph," Palmer said, getting out his ink pen.

    CHAPTER ONE
Back in Twinleaf Town, Flare and Spark, their pokemon, were playing together outside a house. Unfortunately, this 'play' turned into a drastic fight, with flames burning down some snow. "How about we have a battle?" Flint suggested, wondering who was tougher.
"You're on!" Volkner said, encouraging his little Elekid to do well. Elekid and Magby went to opposite sides of a road where their battle would begin. "Quick Attack," he yelled as Elekid had the first move. Elekid pounced in with an exceptionally fast attack, striking Magby up close in the guts. This dealt heavy amounts of damage to the baby pokemon. They were both babies anyway.
"Smog!" Flint said and his pokemon released clouds of poisonous fumes towards Elekid, not making contact, therefore not being able to be afflicted with the opponent's ability 'static'. Although this attack is powerful, it didn't deal as much damage as Elekid had.
Volkner tried to think of a strategy quickly, he had the mind of a talented trainer. "Thundershock," he said to his fellow friend. The Elekid sent sparks of electricity flying towards Magby, electrifying itself.
Flint was thinking of elements and made sure Magby used Ember attack to counter the Thundershock, heating itself back up. The ember was released in a flurry of flames, sent towards Elekid. Both these attack dealt great amounts of damage.
They sent another Ember and Thundershock to their opponent and Elekid finally finished the battle off with a quick and surprising Quick Attack, blasting Magby off its feet.
"I guess I'm just too strong for you," Volkner said with a little smile on his face. "We should go to the Pokemon Centre. There should be one in town. Flint unravelled his Town Map and checked to see where the Pokemon Centre could be.
"North-West," he said, and they walked in that direction as if their journey had already begun.
