A&D's Tutoring Program
What is the A&D Art School?
This is the Art School, founded by Aiden, now being run by Nina. The idea behind the Art School is for users who wish to learn how to create art or improve their skills with help from a Tutor, who would specialist in the skill the user wishes to learn. The Art School aims to be a users gateway into the world of A&D, allowing them to create things they may not have thought they were capable of, and also aims to give users a tool to improve and hone their skills. Essentially, the Art School fills the lack of resources for less skilled users, whilst also giving something to those users who already have a foundation of knowledge in A&D.How does the Art School work?
The Art School functions in a class system, where a class thread for each medium and multiple tutors will come in to work with the students. There are few other things being added!Introducing....New Thread Types!
Community Classes: Everyone who wants to learn a medium will be in a class together, and all interested tutors will work together in the thread. This way the thread will be able to keep going if a tutor needs to take a break and tutors will not be so pressured if they have so many students. Projects should be designed to accept drop in and drop out students. As always, students are encouraged to collaborate and critique with each other. The goal is that at all times there should be activity in the class. All previous classes will be converted into this thread type.
Homework Help: Either for our class or another project, students come here for individual help with projects. It can be something that you've put on yourself, but this is about help working within specifications. It can be difficult to create work and solve problems when you only have a certain amount of things you can work with. When you create a Help thread, you seriously want a lot of help and critique on a specific peice of work in it's entirety, not just a quick question.
Challenge Collaboration: There are some things we don't know! There are also subjects we don't have anyone with us who can teach us, or we don't know much about. This is what these threads are about, where we all go through materials or challenges to get better, together! Things like the Weekly Pixel Challenge and other related things will be refreshed here under this idea.

How can I sign up?
To start with, below is an application form which you should fill out as honestly as you can. It's perfectly fine to put down more than one area which you would like to learn or improve, but please be aware that classes could clash, and it's not recommended to take on more than one at any one time. Also, if your chosen area is quite broad, that is also okay, but try to be as specific as you can when stating what area you wish to learn or improve; it helps us match you with a tutor. Even if we don't have a tutor for exactly what you'd like to learn, multiple tutors may be able to coordinate with you, or a tutor may pick a new skill to teach, so don't worry! Whatever happens, we will make sure you are assigned a tutor who fits your desired area as closely as possible.Application form:

What you need to know before you get started
This is a fun, safe School and you should never feel intimidated by the tutors our the assignments. If you're unable to see a class through to the end, that's fine! There aren't any consequences for missing a course, or not being able to participate after signing up, but a little notice is always appreciated! Ensure you read the "About Our Tutors" section to learn a little bit about your tutors and the rules they have, because it's different for everyone!Do's and Don't's
- Do know that all PokéCommunity rules apply.
- Do feel free to ask our tutors questions outside of the program if you need help.
- Do try your best to participate and be active and attentive. If you might miss a course, let us know and reschedule!
- Do socialize with your peers whilst learning.
- Do have fun!
- Don't pressure the tutors to teach you something that isn't approved.
- Don't ask your tutor to help you with your Hack. Those questions belong in the ROM Hacking section.
- Don't use any tutor's art without their permission. If you collaborate on a piece, always give credit!
Let's begin!
This is a fun program, designed to help you improve artistically and develop new skills, setting you on the path to a positive creative outlook. So be prepared to learn and have fun!About Our Tutors
What we have to offer
Before you are assigned a tutor, make sure you read their application! This is mandatory, as anyone who defies any rules stipulated in their applications can be expelled from the program. These sections will tell you about what the tutors have to offer, a small biography, a syllabus, time zones, and other such relevant information. Please be aware of each tutor's individual applications and listen well![a id]Kirby[/a id]

Hi there! My name's Fairy and I am currently A&D's acting moderator! I've been drawing for a very long time, and consider traditional/digital art, pixel art, and CSS creation my strongest assets, though those aren't the only things I do! I'm happy to teach you anything about the aforementioned subjects and answer any questions you have, so please come to me if you think I can help! But, you best be prepared for a tough class! ;)
