Just a quick question about the GTS: When you put a Pokemon up for trade, how will you be notified that the trade has been satisfied? I hardly used the GTS on any of the other versions, I'm just curious.

You don't.
All you have to do is to check on your offer every once in while to see if somebody has accepted your trade offer.

Just visit again later and when it's "Checking the GTS status" if someone accepted/finalized a trade with you it'll float down from the sky :0
