K...hmm.

Gonna try this on LeafGreen, with Kangaskhan, Kadabra, Kabutops, and Kingdra.

Will hack in Kabuto in the beginning, Kangaskhan and Horsea shortly after that and we'll go from there. Should have all four at Celadon at least.

Letter please. I'll be doing it once I finish my HGSS Totodile solo runthrough. As for the game version, I do not know yet.
I will record and end up posting it on my YouTube channel.
TIV.

Okay, here's my first update, for Pokemon Red. There aren't any screenshots because I played it on my Gameboy Colour (good times). So that also means NO HACKS for me. :)

Spoiler:

My current party (letter A):

[PokeCommunity.com] The Beginning Letter Challenge

Arbok, L.32

Wrap
Dig
Glare
Bite
Notes: At this point, Arbok is just awesome. It hasn't lost a single battle since its days as an Ekans. Not to mention, with Dig, it can now take care of Rock, Fire and Electric types with ease.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Beginning Letter Challenge

Abra, L.33
Teleport
Mega Punch
Seismic Toss
Bide

Notes: Abra is more of a challenge. Because I can't evolve it, it doesn't have much HP. It's attack and defense are quite low (low 20s compared to its Special stat of about 70-80), so until I get some Special TM moves to teach it, it's going to remain difficult to train. It faints frequently. xD Poor thing. Seismic Toss comes in very useful at times, though.
[PokeCommunity.com] The Beginning Letter Challenge

Farfetch'd, L.5 (HM slave)

Peck
Sand-Attack
Cut

After finishing a challenge with the letter T on Red, I decided that it would be fun to do it as a multi-generational challenge. So, I've begun a T challenge on Gold, where I have several more possibilities for my team than I did in Red. My progress so far:

-Chose Cyndaquil as my starter (yay Typhlosion!) and did the beginning of the game stuff and got the first badge; Cyndaquil evolved into Quilava

-Hatched the Togepi egg (my second team member)

-Beat Bugsy and Whitney (mainly with Quilava; Togepi still hadn't evolved, and wasn't much use)

-Beat my rival in Ecruteak

-Caught a Tauros for my team (lvl. 15). In the process of this search, Quilava evolved into Typhlosion

-Defeated Morty (Typhlosion lvl. 37, Tauros lvl. 18, Togepi lvl. 14) [+HM slaves])

-Caught a Tentacruel in the waters south of Olivine (team member #4)

-Defeated Chuck and Jasmine (Typhlosion lvl. 38, Togepi lvl. 19, Tauros lvl. 27, Tentacruel lvl. 22)

-Togepi evolved into Togetic (lvl. 23)

-Defeated Pryce (Typhlosion lvl. 41, Tauros lvl. 30, Togetic lvl. 23, Tentacruel lvl. 26)

Update #2 for Team A in Red. =o

Spoiler:

My Current Party (letter A):
Spoiler:

Gonna try this on Emerald. With an emulator, since I don't feel like taking too much time for this, and I like to fast forward.

Letter please. ^.^

Day 2 of my T challenge on Gold:

-Cleared Team Rocket out of the Radio Tower in Goldenrod
-Defeated Clair
-Defeated the Elite Four (Typhlosion lvl. 54, Tauros lvl. 50, Tentacruel lvl. 43, Togetic lvl. 33)
-Traveled to Kanto
-Defeated Lt. Surge, Sabrina, and Erika
-Fixed the Magnet Train and defeated Misty
-Defeated Janine
-Defeated Brock
-Defeated Blaine
-Defeated Blue
-Defeated Red

Final Team:

Typhlosion lvl. 65
-Flamethrower
-HP Grass
-Thunderpunch
-Headbutt

Togetic lvl. 61
-Psychic
-HP Fire
-Fly
-Sweet Kiss

Tauros lvl. 61
-Earthquake
-Thrash
-Pursuit
-Rest

Tentacruel lvl. 60
-Surf
-Giga Drain
-Wrap
-Acid

Reflections: Defeating Red was somewhat challenging given the level difference, but satisfying. Compared with my Red "T" run, I didn't find Tentacruel and Tauros as useful this time around, probably due to their lower stats (thanks to the split Special stat) and the lack of availability of TMS that I liked a lot (Ice Beam, etc.). I enjoyed gaining team members gradually this time, rather than having to wait until halfway through the game like I did with Red. It was also nice to have more than three choices of team members this time around.

I was tempted to use Tyranitar at the end of the game, but ultimately decided that I didn't feel like training it.

I think I'll continue this challenge for Ruby next, and then maybe Diamond, if I have time. Best of luck to everyone else with this challenge.

You get....

H!

I'd also like to sign up, playing through Crystal!

I've continued my T challenge on Ruby. At the moment, my team is:

Torchic lvl. 41
Taillow lvl. 32
Torkoal lvl. 18
Trapinch lvl. 32
Tentacruel lvl. 35
Tropius lvl. 26 (just caught)

I just arrived in Fortree city. The beginning of the game went fairly smoothly, though it was tough at times. I'm not too wild about the lack of fully evolved Pokemon I can use, particularly since it means that I have to remember to press B constantly after battles to stop evolution (and in a short timeframe, too, due to the emulator's speed). Too bad I don't have more everstones.

Update: Beat Winona (after leveling up Torchic to level 43 so it could learn Flamethrower)
