  • I talked with Nuzleaf about a decision.

Since the other Elite Four is a master of illusions, illusions are also probably the man's trump card.

Mr. Jonestsu needs to be smarter than that! A full force attack will leave Jonetsu open for a powerful hit!

Hesitate and attempt a counter strike to a potential attack by Dreeta.

The best offense is a good defense!

I really dont like that word hesitate fml I feel like both options are traps

by the way, I never received the answers to the questions I asked earlier~

Hey guys! This is a friendly note from Ceriah informing everyone with Dúlran native characters that they're automatically eligible to play the Cerian Coaching Minigame (currently in open beta)! Though Ceriah is normally wary of encouraging foreign trainers to visit its cities, Dúlran trainers are recognized as being civilized enough to not go on barbaric Pokemon catching rampages and are welcome to visit as well as challenge Cerian gyms. Dúlran players may additionally choose to build up their team in the Cerian system with the intent of being able to participate in future content such as Cerian tournaments.

Have fun and let me know if you have any questions!

    The Dúlra Region [UR]

Durahan looked down at the strange contraption before he and Shinnen. They stood together in one of the larger, rooms in Gaol temple, one with a broken roof and access to the sky. The vehicle before them was crafted using the finest magnetic rocks from the regions of Kasai and Dúlra. Using specific movements and reactions triggered by the pulling of levers, the reactions and magnetic fields would alternate allowing height, forward momentum and turning to be preformed in the air. Shinnen rubbed his hands together and grinned widely, he had, surprisingly, been the chief engineer behind the project and Durahan had been more than a little surprised to hear that the bullheaded leader of Kasai possessed such intelligence.

"Then you're sure that it can withstand attacks?" Durahan asked cautiously, still very unsure about the entire project.

"Withstand?! HA! She can EAT any attack thrown at her. When we were training your main man to pilot this thing we hit it with charizard fire blast after charizard fire blast. The wood has been cured to resist fire and the magentic stone is tough as obsidian. Having such an incredibly durable material serve as our main source of aerial maneuvering has many advantages... it's a shame that rock isn't very aerodynamic or we would have built the whole damn thing out of the magnetic stone!" Shinnen began walking down the steps to get a better look at the airship, Durahan followed him nodding gently.

"Then it's been tested for weight? This thing will be carrying a lot of pokémon and humans."

Shinnen waved a hand dismissively. "Kasai is made of this stuff Durahan... and the whole region floats in the sky with cities, people and a wide variety of pokémon." He turns his head to smirk. "I think this baby can handle a few refugees. We're only going to be holding them in the sky far enough out of harms way for the United Regions to take Mewtwo out. Right?"

    Durahan frowned gently.

    "Right..."

Shinnen grimaced gently and seemed to debate with himself momentarily before speaking again. "Alright, what dahell gives pretty boy?"

Durahan stirred to alertness to this and gave Shinnen a questioning look.

"Ain't you supposed to be some almighty source of hope or somethin'? somebody people can look up to? You ARE a champion right? Yet as soon as we get out of the public eye you droop down like a wilting gracidea in your own damned desert." Shinnen leveled off with Durahan, taking a step towards him. "So what gives?"

Durahan tsked and sighed before speaking. "I worry for my forces... this creature was strong enough to control armies with its mind, it took over so many pokémon, as well as Entei, all at once. What if we can't win this?"

Shinnen harshly punched Durahan in the gut, almost immediately after he finished speaking.

    "Gack! Wh-Why?!"

Shinnen growled and pointed to the sky, more helicopters carrying in forces from other regions of the UR to Gaol temple were flying overhead.

"That's why asshole! Because you've taken on a responsibility Durahan. You gathered allies, came together with others and you took charge... you invited them here because you were confident you could succeed. You gave them a common goal for Arceus' sake! Now grow up! Man up! And stop doubting your strength because I can tell you from first hand experience that THAT is what will get you, your friends and your people slaughtered. We built this ship to save people and begin our official attack. Don't fall down at the last hurdle, Understand?!"

Durahan stood up and brushed himself off, pulling himself together he nodded resolutely.

"While I feel your methods are a bit crude... I know that you are right." Durahan turned just in time to see his force of flying types move into the room, ready to board and initiate the first step of the war... a rescue mission to Yoko, to save innocent civilian people and pokémon from harm.

Turning to the airship, Shinnen saw a renewed passion burning in Durahan's eyes and he sighed to himself.

"This piece of trash... needs to learn how many people rely on him. I just hope I can keep him alive for their sake." He muttered this to himself, under his breath where nobody could hear.

    It was time.

The war on Mewtwo was now.

    The Arrival

The sky was low and dark. The thick cloud, grey as the stone they pulled from the quarry, gave the monochromatic world outside a claustrophobic feel. By this time of day the birds should have been singing and the horizon tinged with reds and pinks, oranges sometimes. But the weather was accountable to no-one and the arrival could not be delayed. The Theseus army, carried by a battalion of helicopters travelled east toward Dulra.

They have globe-trotted for hours but soon enough they have reached their destination, Gaol City. The multitude of helicopters began to descent into was a grassy area just outside the temple. Harrison's chopper was first to land, he quickly got out and motioned his men to rest for a short time, while he was getting something settled.

While on his way, a man dressed in Dulran armor greeted him. "Welcome Theseus Champion Harrison, this way to the briefing area, please follow me," he said. Harrison nodded and began to follow the soldier.

    The Dúlra Region [UR]

The common folk often spread rumors and speak of the Legendary nature of their Champion. Born in Rinne city and possessing of an unbelievably potent aura from young age, the people say that Durahan was able to manifest a physical construct crafted from his aura at the age of six years old and that he was training to use a sword under the tutelage of his father, Cullain Mac Tíre, at as young as ten.

While the Champions story is impressive, it isn't nearly as exciting as this.

Durahan was indeed born in Rinne city and he dreamed of becoming a great pokémon trainer, like any young boy would. Incredibly powerful in spirit, but lacking a lot of upper body strength and physical heft. Many people complacently tried to help him to become stronger, but he always seemed to fall short. His childhood rival, the fiery Tíomaint always seeming to have the edge. Unable to impress a single pokémon for most of his young life, Durahan was left feeling bitter and alone. It wasn't until he was sixteen years old... did Durahan learn to use his strength to its greatest potential.

In the wild on one faithful evening, the young man was travelling alone in the forest. He was sick of being downgraded and overlooked just because he wasn't strong or fast... he was scrawny, weak, yes... but his heart was in the right place. he had the determination to try but there was no way for his potential to be unleashed. So he would be forever overlooked, forever forgotten. He cursed the World and kicked a tree in anger, wondering why his homes ideals of balance even existed if this was all it would get him.

Suddenly, a single small pokémon fell onto his head. It was slightly slimy... and it sniffled gently as if it was crying. It was light brown in color and had a wet nose. There was a small spike on its head and tail and as it fell from Durahans head and into his hands, it pathetically tried to scuttle away before falling down, defeated and tired.

    It was a weedle.

Durahan felt his expression soften, here was a pokémon, so weak and small, there were surely a dime a dozen in the areas around Rinne city and yet it still had feelings. It was still worth something and it lived out its daily life as any living thing would.

Stroking the pokémons head gently, Durahan smiled a little bit as the small bug looked up at him with confused eyes.

    He would not give up.

    ***

Cullain Mac Tíre noticed something about his son the next day, he was stronger somehow. For one thing, he had a pokémon with him... it was a weedle sure, but it was something. However there was something else, occasionally when Durahan made a gesture... or moved with a certain resolve... there would be slight sparks of blue energy. The colour of hope, of peace. It was the most commonly chosen colour to represent aura as it was often considered to be related to powerful auras of a deep resolve, the same type wielded by the pokémon Lucario.

    Then, this was Durahan's strength.

As time progressed it became more and more obvious that urahan's spirit far surpassed that of any in the entire Southern half of Dúlra. As he learned to use it, it flared with a power unlike any other. The little weedle whom now stood proudly as a Beedrill and as Durahan's partner was aura sensitive himself... and thus he had been so attracted to Durahan upon their first meeting.

With the resolve to be stronger firmly plastered in his heart, Durahan made the decision to fight and become the man he had always hoped to be, challenging each and every gym... he defeated them all, the shadow of his rival Tíomaint cast over his every step.

In the end, he obtained the eight Dúlran badges and prepared to challenge the league.

However, to prove his strength, a certain legendary pokémon desired a confrontation.

Serving ever as the guardian of the Dúlran hierarchy and seat of power. The Legendary Beasts would challenge anyone to a one on one fight, should they consider them strong enough in heart, body and mind.

The first time Durahan encountered Entei, he was taken aback at the pokémons majesty and intimidated by the powerful roar it unleashed. However, he had come too far to simply back down. Together he and Beedrill combated the powerful Legend in a battle lasting several hours, only to in the end come out victorious and obtain a flaming orb... a gift given by Entei that certified a trainer to stand against the Dúlran league.

Stand against them Durahan did, his new found power and aura proving strong enough to blow most of the elite four away... and even the Champion, Krom Spíorad, was of no comparison.

Standing before him however was one final challenge.

Tíomaint had been one step ahead of Durahan every step of the way. He had beaten the elite four and Champion weeks before Durahan had even arrived. However the final test for the champion of Dúlra had not appeared before him. Convinced that he had to defeat Durahan as well to obtain the title of Champion, Tíomaint struck out violently against Durahan in a duel of not just pokémon, but of blades... an ancient tradition in Dúlra.

However, to Theo's great surprise, Durahan defeated him easily. There was something in Durahan's heart that Theo simply didn't have yet. A resolve, a power beyond that of physical strength. A purity of aura.

With all challenges met, Durahan was accepted as a candidate for the Champion of Dúlra and faced the final, secret test. A challenge so great that many fell at the thought of it, a trial against three legends and against the very elements themselves.

Yet even this, Durahan overcame. With the bonds he had fostered, strength he had gained and power he now held. Durahan could never even imagine his defeat. Not after he had come so far. Taking the throne at long last and standing as the first champion of Dúlra whom did not consider himself a king.

    ***

There are many more stories about the Champion, wild tales of how he obtained mega evolution, the love life he guards so dearly and the ways he met the team that stands by him so diligently.

But these stories are best left for another time.

Even the weakest spark can grow into the most devastating of fires... and for now all we need remember is that Durahan embodies this struggling fire in all of his blazing glory.

For Dúlra. For his friends. For his family. For his people.

    For Balance.

    Durahan fights on, even now.

    The Dúlra Region [UR]

Years and years ago, the region of Kasai sunk beneath the oceans due to a raging battle caused by the pokemon, Groudon and Kyogre. The fleeing and screaming remnants of the Kasai regions people and pokemon were forced into the raging waters and almost the entirely wiped out as the waves thrashed with such power that not even the strongest of water types could survive their battering force.

The people of Dulra saved as many people as they could and brought them to their own home, forming the Kasaian embassy city of Rosta, however they could not get to everyone. The remaining pockets of the now all but abandoned survivors got together and wished for a freedom from the faith they had been cursed with. A single man from this group, to protect his pregnant wife and child, stood in front of a massive at the forefront of the final scar of Kasaian soil and screamed to the sky, he begged the air itself to come down from the heavens and bring destruction to the sea and land. Suddenly the wave before them lost most of its force... and while the heroic man whom had stepped forward was still killed, his family and the majority of the other survivors were left unscathed.

And the mans calls were answered.

From the sky came a great and powerful dragon, its scales shimmered with a piercing green energy and tendrils of orange light seemed to flow from its form. Ascending to the clouds once more it brutally thrashed the two Legends of unbelievable power before sweeping the remaining land before it was swallowed by the waves, in its massive claws it carried the survivors to safety, leaving the wave covered land aside as it sunk away to nothing. The man whom had saved the Kasaian race now swallowed beneath there as well.

    This man was Shinnens ancestor.

    ***

Skip forward a century or two and the Kasai region is reborn as "Shin Kasai", the patron pokemon Rayquaza had taken all surviving humans and pokemon to an island comprised of floating magnetic rock and upon such a treasure trove of land a society now thrived. Advanced cities using the fabled magnetic rock thrived and the fertile soil covering the islands surface had now become native to many pokemon species introduced in secret by the islands now native residents. Fearing introducing themselves into the World due to a presumed weakness, the Shin Kasai region was slowly running itself dry due to overpopulation and people began to wonder if economic relations were worthwhile.

The Champion of the region at the time was a weak willed and fearful man, barely able to hold himself together as far as Shinnen saw it. As such, he was a danger to his own people.

Thankfully, Shinnen also knew of a suitable replacement.

Throwing a leg over his favourite ride, a two wheeled motorcycle-esque vehicle that used gravity stones to float along the roads, Shinnen revved things up a notch and began to drive towards the seat of power, the grand temple in the Shin Kasaian capital city of Jiyu.

As he drove, Shinnen reflected on his life as it had occurred up until that point.

Born on a small farm in the sprawling farmlands of West Kasai, Shinnen from a young age was famous for speaking with his fists rather than his mouth. He was silly and naive and believed that he could stomp out the bad in the World all by himself. He picked fights with any punks who looked like they were causing trouble for his old "Ma" and "Pa" as well as his little sister Veronica. He got a name for himself as a brute and a delinquent, often beating up the other kids at school, even though he only hit them because they were picking on some girls... or stealing some little kids lunch money.

But the teachers never seemed to care, out in the rural areas nobody cared much about rhyme nor reason. Shinnen was an easy target to reprimand and play the part of "apt caretaker", so he got the blame. He didn't care, every time they told him no he'd make sure to his the next little scumbag harder, an extra punch for every backwater teacher who was stupid enough to blame him for sticking up for the little guys.

At the age of thirteen, Shinnen got his first two pokémon. Two baby Charmanders were born on his Pa's ranch. The brother and sister were originally intended to be guard pokémon intended for herding miltank and mareep. However, they had to be decommissioned from their training due to being too violent. They wanted to do their job well, but they were so extreme about it that all of their passion couldn't channel correctly into such basic work.

I suppose you could say Shinnen and the two tykes were kindred spirits.

Hitting the brakes and drifting silently and stylishly through the Kasaian air, Shinnen could see the grand temple in sight. Two Charizards flew above him with a burning desire for combat in their eyes and hearts... a shared resolve with their trainer. Much like Dúlra, Shin Kasai wasn't such a big fan of pokéball technology, however it was still widely used. Simply put, it wasn't necessity and most of the time pokémon were allowed to fly free as long as they were alongside their trainers, no pokéball required. Shinnen still had his two partners original pokéballs, but they hadn't been inside of them since they were charmanders.

He still remembered their training together, there was no established league in Kasai... the title of Champion simply went to the trainer with the greatest strength of body and mind. Instead, established across the region were various dojos where one could train for hours to become stronger. Dojo leaders were present in said Dojo's but they were just as much sparring partners as any other trainer present. Beating a dojo leader transfered leadership of the Dojo to the victor and one was not required to defeat any dojo at all before challenging the Champion.

Through constant training and focusing of his passion and force into his work, Shinnen was able to awaken to his strength as an aura guardian. Possessing the burning red linked to passion, fury and drive he honed the strength fiercely, much to the surprise of some he would often attack the training dummies designed for pokémon with his own hands.

This man went so far as to have bare knuckle, no holds barred brawls with his own Charizards.

He had been training his aura and his partners for years now, in order to take Kasai as his own and lead it as a bastion of true strength for his people. The men in charge didn't like him standing up for the little guy? Standing up for what was right? Easy solution. Become the man in charge and do whatever the hell you like.

With a splintering of wood and a cracking noise to pierce the ears, Shinnen drove straight through the front doors of the Kiyu Grand Temple. The current champion, an overweight sack of crap, stood up in shock. Shinnen was surprised to see he could stand up at all, but whatever. He leapt from his bike and charged across the hall, noblemen and elites stood up to stop him but it was all happening too fast for them to even grab their pokéballs. The former Kasain champion tried to stand and run, however it really was of no use as Shinnen was already upon him.

A no holds barred, remorseless right hook right to the flabby jaw. Shinnen could feel each of the fourteen fractions to the jawline and he smiled in satisfaction as the worthless excuse for a leader fell to the ground, already defeated. Flying in after him, Shinnens two Charizards roared with an unforgiving ferocity. With a quick ember from one of his friends, Shinnen lit a cigarette and put it to his lips as he flopped down lazily on the Kasain throne, using his squishy predecessor as a foot rest.

"Listen up you worthless wastes of human flesh. I'm in charge here now, this place is gonna be going through some serious changes. Any folks with objections I suggest to please form an orderly line and I'll be sure to deal with your concerns swiftly."

All but one or two of the nobles and elites in the room drew their pokéballs and prepared to strike out at the sudden usurper. Shinnen just smiled, kicked fatso out of the way and flicked his cigarette to the side before standing up and grinning widely.

"Looks like this is gonna be more fun than I thought."

    ***

As you might have guessed from current circumstances, Shinnen proved victorious over all challengers, with a resolve strong enough to stand against all competition he crushed each and every challenger with bewildering strength.

From here on his exploits continued as he strived to bring back the old ways of Kasai while putting his people first. While many Shin Kasaian nobles of a previous age are slow to warm to Shinnen, his people adore him and see him as a bastion of their way of life. Upon becoming Champion, he even took a few years to master the art of swordplay, an art in Kasai long forgotten yet once imperative for their champions.

Perhaps in other tales his exploits might be explained further, but for now Shinnen's story strands as it does in the Chronicles of his sister region Dúlra. With an arrival like his, ripples are sure to spread across the peaceful waters of not just Dúlra, but perhaps the entire World.

  • Name: Chitose Fujiwara
Trainer Class: Warlord in Training/ Wandering Swordswoman
Pokémon: Ryuusei (Arcanine, Male), Zero (Shinx,Male), Nanami (Totodile, Female), Arsenal (Aron, Male), Omega (Gible, Male), Takeo( Chimchar, Male)
First Pokémon (Partner): Shinx and Arcanine*recently evolved*
Additional Information: (Appearance): Chitose has long hair which is primarily raven colored until it reaches past her shoulder blades and lower back. Afterwards, the hair becomes lighter in shade with the lightest hue being a variant of ice-blue. The difference between of this dark nearly black type of blue and itslighter shades makes for quite the contrast. Her hair is kept in a wild ponytail, which keeps most of her hair out of her face. However, her bangs have a habit of getting in the way of her eyes from time to time. She is heterochromatic, but both eyes have vibrant coloration and hidden intensity. The right eye is a shade of green which is similar to a blue-ish green emerald, while the left is glacier/ice-blue. Her eyes contain a spark of endless wonder and excitement which never seems to die out; as if there is an entire world lurking there. It almost appears as if unending childish curiosity. Though they are more than capable of taking on a rarely appearing yet dangerous glint. In these cases, it can be like staring into the eyes of a wild creature, whose untamed nature and unpredictability make for a formidable foe. Her styles of dress heavily resembles that of her native region, with a slight twist to them. Her outfits are ever changing, as her fascination with these types of garbs is never ending. The only things which are constants are the fingerless gloves, combat boots, and the pair of katanas on her right side. She has an array of other blade based weapons concealed from sight (like a tanto and some kunai). The girl is a bit of sword (blade) enthusiast… She will also wear more casual clothing from time to time.

(Personality): Chitose, is an energetic teenager, whose personality can be compared to that of a tomboy's. She is very adventurous, easily excited, passionate, ambitious, competitive, and can be quite hot-blooded to the point of being stubbornly reckless. If something knocks her down, then you can bet it won't be long before she gets back up, as many times as it takes to finally overcome an obstacle. Giving up is just something which is almost never in Chitose's dictionary; one should probably wonder if it even exists in her mind at all. The fifteen year old girl spent many days acting every bit the warrior princess she is so to speak. Unsurprising really, since she was born into a family who continues the warlord/samurai practices from the Ransei region(more info later on). Her three elder brothers especially, played a large part in the girl's rough character, often rough housing with her, or involving her in their mischief. Chitose's two elder sisters were almost equally guilty in this regard as well, although they were a bit more lady like than their youngest sibling. This caused their mother endless irritation in the beginning, although she soon accepted it in the end; mostly… Unlike their mother, Chitose lacks the graceful yet intimidating elegance, a trait which her sisters also carry. Instead, the girl is described as wild and untamable by family and friends alike, resembling the ferocious tenacity and passion as one of the Clan's favored Pokémon Type. This is not to say Chitose is completely incapable of acting like a person ofher station should, it is just she mainly chooses not to. Besides, it is her elder siblings who usually accompany their parents on important social gatherings. This normally leaves Chitose free to do as she pleases in regards to hobbies when she's not training. Unfortunately, it also means she has plenty of time to get into mischief of some sort. When not pondering how to get into or out of trouble, Chitose is a rather driven individual. She aspires to someday become a master swordswoman and become Head of her own Clan, among other things. Although, in regards to her dreams, she's still a bit of arookie. Yet, she'll proudly proclaim that while a novice in the eyes of the world, she is a veteran at heart…! Yeah, whatever that's supposed to mean. Thus, in order to make her goals reality, the spirited girl set off on a journey; after attaining parental permission of course. Due to her heritage, Chitose is fascinated by history, and is surprisingly willing to pay greatattention to such things. Which is one reason among others she admires Cynthia, the Pokémon Champion of Sinnoh. On another side note, she will later on get into the practice of sparring with her Pokémon.

(Background): Chitose's family moved from the Ransei region to Johto attempting to expand their business and bring part of their culture to the region. The large family group settled somewhere near Blackthorn City and made a living crafting their own weapons and specialty armor, along with other handmade goods. The large plot of land owned by the Fujiwara's was also home to a large group of Pokémon who performed a variety of different duties. The extended family sought to be as self-sufficient as possible, and would often do business with the nearby city or even travel to market places. Therefore, Pokémon were raised with the purpose of protecting the large family, acting as their equals, and other things. A trait brought over with them from their homeland. While Ransei was famous for the constant warfare waged by the warlords, the Pokémon were never considered to be tools of war. Instead, they were beloved partners, which gave birth to the ability to form bonds or links with them. The links were the primary reason why Pokéballs were never seen in Ransei nor in the Fujiwara family. Chitose's parents were especially adamant about not confining their partners to the sphere shaped containment units. It degraded the special bond Arceus had chosen to gift their people with, and was severely frowned upon. As Johto was more relaxed than other places about letting Pokémon wander about freely, due to the beliefs of individuals like Professor Elm, there was no issue over the matter. A fact the young Chitose took in stride, as she spent countless days running about her family's vast land with Pokémon as her companions. There were many occasions where the girl would get lost in the woods, or wander somewhere she was not necessarily supposed to be. However, she was rarely alone, if not accompanied by her siblings or cousins, there were surely Pokémon by her side. Soon after turning 13, Chitose began learning the art of crafting armor and weapons, a necessity in her family. This also included lessons in learning the art of the sword. The reasons for this was because at the age of 14 all children were required to go out on their own journeys. This was a rite of passage in a sense, as the Fujiwara's had a tradition which was demanded of the teenagers should they someday decide to ever Head their own Clan. In order to gain the right to lead, the children would have to craft a unique set of armor and a weapon after gathering the inspiration and materials abroad. This was to establish the design the Clan's future armor would be based off of and the preferred weapon as well. Also, the candidates were required to master a certain level of both swordsmanship and hand to hand combat.

(Extras): Some lesser known things about Chitose are her fondness of things like sake and her sweet tooth. In the past, Chitose would often be bribed with either thing to get her to cooperate with things like chores. She also holds a strong belief in her own form of justice and how strength should be used. The code of honor instilled in her causes Chitose to be rather passionate about the pursuit of balance between strength and justice. This can be a strength as well as a glaring weakness, for reasons both obvious and not so much. Also, Chitose has a stronger with her Pokémon than any in her family, resulting her being able to communicate with them. This doesn't only apply to Pokémon traveling with her, but others as well. This communication is both verbal and mentally based; however, she refrains from using the latter in front of others unless the situation calls for it. She believes it is rude to have a mental conversation in front of others. Unless a Pokémon "opens its heart" to her, she can only talk to them on a verbal level. She has not yet mastered the ability, with only dire circumstances allowing her to communicate effectively with other Pokémon. Such a situation did occur once, which was the reason her Growlithe evolved but a wild Lucario still had to intervene to prevent the girl from suffering further injury. As of this day, she's admired the species and desires to befriend one. This ability of hers is something which is not fully understood, but is rumored to be tied to a long forgotten power and secret kept by her family. The fact the girl wears an item which is actually a seal in disguise is only one of the hints indicating something is preventing her power from awakening. Finally, Chitose has a souvenir in the form of a Silver Wing in her possession. She purchased it in Johto while on the hunt for supplies for her future journey, but the item is most certainly little more than a fake. Not that Chitose is concerned with those kinds of details, she just holds onto it cause it's nice to looks at.

  • Apologies for the late reply, I am impressed with the amount of detail, effort and work that went into this character.

Welcome to Dúlra and to PC in general if your post count does in fact denote your time spent here. We're glad to have you.

Jonetsu was walking calmly as usual through the grassy streets of Rinne City. It was an average and boring day as always and he wasn't really prepared to deal with anything too strenuous or exhausting.

But plans rarely go according to the ways they are created.

Suddenly a massive impact sounded in the distance, the noise was powerful enough to send shock waves that made many flying type pokémon jump from the trees. Considering how close it was to the seasonal sky festival, people would surely be on edge with that sort of things. With all the war going on recently, many citizens were concerned that a powerful attack might soon reach Dúlra's shores.

Looking around, Jonetsu saw a pillar of smoke rising from the South West. What on Earth was that? Had something crash landed into the ground?... A meteorite perhaps? He honestly had no idea and he wasn't ready to hang around and wait for somebody else to deal with it.

He'd search to see if somebody else was nearby, but if not he'd have to take a look by himself first. If the people weren't reassured quickly then there'd be further panic, as an elite four it was his duty to look out for Dúlra and her people. Dashing off at full speed towards the impact site, Jonetsu could never have truly guessed as to what he would find.

  • Thank you for both things. I'm glad to be here, I really like how much detail and creativity went into Dúlra. Also, are there any practice matches scheduled? I'd like to join in if there's any spots open.

    The Dúlra Region [UR]

Tíomaint walked rather awkwardly alongside the young rookie that he had been trying to train so diligently. She was airheaded, quiet and altogether a little hopeless... and let's not even bother to mention all of the nonsense that had happened at that grimy news station. She seemed to be a magnet for trouble, yet for some reason Durahan kept pairing them together for this and that. Usually for important training but today it was almost an insult to him, the task they had been set upon.

Meet Cava in Rinne city and ask him for some old papers pertaining to the previous champion. This was pencil pusher work and yet he was stuck here doing it with the rookie. He had more important things to focus on damn it.

Viesna wasn't too pleased with the situation either. She didn't exactly approve of having to work with this blockheaded commander of hers. He was always so gruff and violent with everything. Rushing into battle without a care in the World, always coming back with some stupid injury or another. Was that really what being an aura guardian was all about? She didn't think so... Sometimes she felt like "Theo" forgot way too often that she wasn't just some common soldier. Though she supposed that some of that brashness could be charming at times...

Pfft, as if. What was she even saying to herself?

The two continued to walk in awkward silence down the streets and alleys of Rinne cities grassy walkways. Random trees, shrubbery and pokémon were scattered about and the children finishing with school for today ran around with smiles on their faces.

But where did the old man even live? That was the question. Despite his high influence in the running of Dúlra, as well as the fact that his grand son was a member of the elite four, Tíomaint had never actually visited the old man at his home. They had been wandering for so long that it had become a wonder if they'd ever reach their destination.

The seasonal sky festival was approaching very quickly for the autumnal time of year and the city was abuzz with orange, red and gold. Piles of leaves littered the grassy streets and a few fluttering orange flurries of fallen pieces blustered through the air with a brisk Autumn breeze blowing through the city alongside them. Theo loved this time of year and Viesna did too, though the two were hardly talking enough to realize it.

In preparation for the festival various stalls and vendors had set up shop on the grassy streets, selling trinkets and baubles of all descriptions. One such vendor caught the eye of the ever curious Viesna and she wandered over to it with a wonder filled expression. An old windmill turned idly to the left of the humble cart and an old and worn looking man rubbed his hands gently as he recognized the armor of one of the countries guardians.

"Ahh, hello there my dear Aura Guardian... do you like these? Trinkets and necklaces with genuine stones mined from Cava cities reaches. You see this one here? Genuine fire stone, carved and glazed to remove evolutionary properties. All the pretty, none of the risk."

"Oh... wow... it's so pretty? How much are you- eeeep!"

Tíomaint roughly tugged Viesna away from the stall and grunted in annoyance as he looked down on her.

"Listen rookie, we're on an important mission! This isn't the time for window shopping!"

Pouting and crossing her arms, Viesna stared daggers into Theo, but she said nothing as causing a confrontation on a city street just wasn't her style. She took a few steps to the side as Theo went to the old shopkeeper himself, seemingly berating him for distracting the guardians at work.

Another tugging motion was felt on the hem of Viesna's clothing and she turned around just in time to see that it was most certainly not the commander this time around.

Theo turned quickly at the sound of his trainee's scream as she was hoisted up into the air by the spoke of a windmill. High into the air she flailed and panicked as Theo did the same on ground, leaving the old man, whom was now wide mouthed in shock and looking around frantically for some way to help... as was most everyone on the streets bar a few laughing bystanders.

"I-It's ripping!" Viesna would cry as she heard the tell tale sound of fabric forcefully leaving fabric. Her own weight at such an altitude proving too much for the cloth of her clothes to bear.

"W-what?! If you had worn the armor I told you to wear this wouldn't be an issue!"

Viesna, fuming with anger suddenly, crossed her arms quickly and shouted back. "This is SO not the t-aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!"

Theo, in a panic, leaped forward onto his front as Viesna fell from the apex of the windmills height, thumping hard into Theo's back she covered her head in fright and blinked slightly as she felt him break her fall. She was safe then? Totally fine? He had saved her?

"G-get off of me..." He murmured from the ground as Viesna thought pensively on what had just happened. In response she shook herself to attention and stood up from the ground quickly, her face blushing as she covered the tear in her clothes and avoided the gazes of everybody else whom was watching.

Theo pulled himself upwards and brushed the crumbling leaves and flecks of dirt off of his clothes. He was about to say something when he saw just how ashamed Viesna seemed. He supposed it had been pretty embarrassing, though such things as embarrassment had never really bothered him... not for a very long time anyway.

"S-sorry... let's just go..." Viesna, blushing more furiously by the second, strode off quickly in the other direction. Theo reached out a hand to stop her, but she seemed rather dead set on her departure.

"H-hey, rookie... It's not so big a deal..."

    Alas, she was gone.

Turning around as people went back to their day to day routine. Theo saw the shopkeeper picking up the fire stone amulet. He had supposedly dropped it onto the ground during all of the commotion. Theo gently tapped his pocket, filled with his most recent wages. He had planned to treat himself to dinner that evening...

    Well, planned to.

Sighing deeply, he walked up to the shopkeeper once more and greeted him with a smile.

    ***

Viesna was sitting on a bench under a tree and still blushing gently. A pout was plastered on her face and her arms were crossed fiercely. That stupid dumb commander... if he hadn't gotten involved then she'd be fine and none of that would have ever happened. The shirt she was wearing wasn't cheap either.

Her eyes widened and her spirits lifted however, as Tíomaint approached from behind and dropped a pendant with a glistening, jewelry treated fire stone shard amulet into her lap. Picking it up excitedly she turned to him.

"Wha? How did you get this... it was super expensive!"

Theo seemed to be just the tiniest bit red in the face as he shrugged and nonchalantly guffawed. "Stupid shopkeeper felt bad for the incident... he, eh... he told me I could have it for free."

Viesna stood up quickly from the bench as the evening sun went down. She put the trinket on and smirked gleefully, rightfully pleased with herself and forgetting all about the incident from earlier.

    "So? What do you think?"

Theo just smirked and started walking. Gesturing his rookie to follow him. "It's decent. Now come on, the sun is setting and we need to find Cava still."

Nodding quietly but still smiling pleasantly, Viesna followed along beside Theo. Theo himself smiled too, but it was a somewhat wry smile.

He was more than a little displeased over how empty his pocket felt at that moment.
