Wow..I just spent the last five minutes reading that.
I don't want to drag it out again, but I'll just say this. It's really offensive when half the board considers the entire land of DPPt to be n00bdom. Sure, yeah, it's the place where the most of them go considering..that's what they came to the site for. You join online Poke-forums for battles and trading (and a good portion of the members who are now elsewhere on the forum can safely say that's why they first joined but have lost interest in the game.)
It's very simple to say that a vast portion of (at least the Stadium) DPPt active members are great people, they follow the rules, and they post legit topics. Sure, there's an occasional "BATLE ME PLZZ" when they should just use the Quick Battle Thread, but we get along way better than most people make it out to be.

^ and that, are terrible representations of our area. I'll admit that. But the vast majority are
not strange, n00bish, one-track minded forum members. The good members in that area have just
already discussed everything they can think of with the games and are
already involved in what's good, solid, fun, and supportive in those areas, so that's why if an outside looks at DPPt they see crap: because there really isn't room to spread our wings to new threads. In fact, the below quote:
...really hurts. :'( And we're trying to do our best to turn the entire forum around by creating new ideas like the PC Wifi Ladder, new unique tournaments and gyms, I think some new system is being implanted in the Trade Center (?) for smoother trading, and the crap topics are being shot down in the regular DPP talk area (and IMO, they should be deleted, not locked so DPPt looks like a garbage can. It takes an equal amount of effort to VM the member whose topic you're deleting instead of posting something and locking it, only for the n00b-ier people to not understand what's going on and post more/leave the board.)
I'm not targeting anyone of course. XD CME and Horizon do outstanding jobs to keep up with the meh that comes in. And Twilight, I wasn't referring anything to you by that quote, that's just the post that stood out. It's just not right to generalize an area based on members who make one post and leave the forum. Seriously, go check if half the nooby-topic makers are even still active. If they are, they'll be gone by April. That's how the area works. It's beginning to function better now and I for one am happy to invite those coming back via Platinum into our section, since it's a great place to battle, trade, and meet people from around the world!
I'm also not defending Angela (sorry, Ang, you were a bit confused on what they were attempting to get across, that's only why an argument ensued. Don't take it too personally, since they were just saying modding the area can be hard to cope with when it's a lot of work.) I'm sure you'd like that responsibility, but they were just explaining it's difficult to manage 24/7.
It's just the generalizations about DPPt members that bugged me. I apologize for this inane post, I just wanted to clear up that we
definitely have a strong, supportive, intelligent user base in both shoddy, wifi battling, trading, and DPP talk areas. They just get clouded by 1-3 weekly noobcannons who can't type a sentence. I think a lot of it comes from the fact that the other areas
don't have any n00bness to relate DPPt to. So since that's the nesting place of pokemaster103847509348 and his little brother, that's the place that gets looked down upon.
....^_^. So yeah. Most of us there have half a brain. And by most, I mean the
regulars, not the join today, gone tomorrow folks.
Now I'm exhausted >_> but I got into one of my four transfer colleges today. XD
