  • You either believe in the illuminati or deny them. I am one to believe in them, and I am curious as to what others think.
I have made this thread to discuss their existence, conspiracies, etc.

  • They are supposedly an organization that wants to destroy nuclear families with porn and rock.
    So basically, it's bullcrap.

Claims of their existence have circulated for decades. If such a thing existed they could easily have achieved their goals by now without all the secrecy. Like most conspiracy theories, the small percentage of truth fool people into believing the entire story.

On top of that, the name Illuminati applies to multiple theories, groups and ideas. Much like Anonymous, the name is thrown about vaguely with very little substance.

I don't get how people can deny the illuminati when their symbol is on the American dollar bill.
Like..really? I just don't get how people are actually thinking that that symbol is originally the Illuminati's. Everytime someone sees an eye within a triangle it's OMG ILLUMINATI but uhhh apart from what Live said, an eye within a triangle shape is an AGE old symbol, all seeing Eye of Horus much?? nothing illuminati ********

I think you're thinking of the Freemasons, not the Illuminati. Maybe even the Stonecutters :p

    Who controls the British crown?
Who keeps the metric system down?
    We do! We do!

Who leaves Atlantis off the maps?
Who keeps the Martians under wraps?
    We do! We do!

Who holds back the electric car?
Who makes Steve Gutenberg a star?
    We do! We do!

Who robs cavefish of their sight?
    Who rigs every Oscar night?
    We do! We do!

And the Masonic imagery itself borrows heavily from ancient Egyptian, Jewish, and Greek religeous traditions.

  • A friend of mine brought up an interesting idea the other day. He said, "if I'm over 95% sure of something, I talk about it as though I am sure of it." What he was getting at was something similar to the idea of "statistical significance;" that, while it's impossible to prove much of anything, you can achieve an arbitrarily high amount of certainty past which it's not really worth considering you're wrong.

I'm almost 100% sure that the Illuminati (at least as an organization directing man's progress) do not exist. But, like with anything, there's always the possibility I'm wrong. However, I believe that possibility is so small, it's not worth even thinking about. If I spent time considering every small possibility, I wouldn't have time to act on anything.

  • I think the Illuminati are pretty much the personification of paranoia. If they exist, everything is out to get us. If they don't we're only deluding ourselves. There's no evidence, but who's saying that's stopping them from doing what they do. You see where I'm going with this?

  • Can you please elaborate on what you think the Illuminati is? I had very old relatives who considered themselves "Illuminati" and all they did was hold meetings every sunday, just like a church, but it was extremely racist. They also wore robes and strange hats. But all those people have died out and the younger generation never took part in it.

    If you think it's a "New World Order", that's happened already but it's not some secret cult, you can watch everything they do. Some are calling this treason, as well as a coup d'etat;

I think that's the KKK you're referring to. The Illuminati are a group of people said to rule the world in secret. The word "illuminati" means "the enlightened people," I believe.

Nah, they considered themselves Illuminati, but referred to their very group with an anagram of their last name- I can't recall what it was exactly. But no, it definitely wasn't the KKK. They discussed politics and money. It was all old, white men speaking and the women and children sat in the back and watched.

Sure. Ok so what I believe the Illuminati is, is a big group of the most powerful people in the world and people with the most influence in the world, who there ultimate goal is to have a one world government (NWO) and who control almost everything in the world, like wars, governments, etc. Oh, and they also worship the devil.
Look, I don't want any of that to be true, so by all means, try to convince me it isn't.

PS: I know almost nothing about Freemasons, cos I am not american. So if someone could explain that to me that would be great.

It doesn't matter whether you are American or not, if you have access to the internet you can just read about them. It's a lodge btw.

  • I am almost certain such an organization (or multiple?) exists. What their actual name, aim and influence is I am unsure about, but their existence I do not doubt.

Well the video I linked is evidence that it's beginning to surface with control over our military (actually the war in the middle east was fabricated and heavily influenced by certain groups as well). Whether or not it continues we'll have to see. But..I'm not sure about devil worshiping.

I am almost certain such an organization does not exist.

You should at least back up your position with an argument. Making empty claims like that is pretty pointless.

I'm too much of a realist to think such a group exists. If you want to know who's pulling the strings, you don't need to do anything more than trace the money. In the US, it's the corporations. Corporations have unlimited ability to finance politicians, whereas individuals are limited to small contributions. Politicians are necessarily financed by particular interest groups, and therefore are beholden to them if they want to continue to stay in office. Who's ruling the world? Look at who's moving the most money.
