I'll start a Nuzlocke Challenge. (:

Game: Pokémon Emerald

Rules I Will Abide By:
1. If a Pokemon Faints, its dead, release it.
2. No healing outside of battle (optional) Slight exception: Going to a Pokémon Center only once in each area.
3. You can only catch/receive one Pokemon in each area. A town is one area, a route is one area, a cave is one area, etc. Should you fail to catch a Pokemon for any reason (other than game corruption) than too bad.
4. You must nickname all of your Pokemon (optional, but highly recommended)
5. No catching legendaries.
6. Trading is disallowed, but the reasons following this clause are allowed. Egg trading is okay, same thing with Pokemon that can't have eggs. (optional) Trading simply for the purpose of evolution is perfectly OK.

I will start today! Progress will be recorded tomorrow.

Started game. Chose Torchic as starter. (Nickname- Blaze) Trained Torchic to level 10 and defeated May. Continued on to Petalburg City, Petalburg Forest, and Rustboro City. Caught a Shroomish (Nickname- Shrooms) in Petalburg Forest. Saved in Rustboro City. Continued later on. Evolved Torchic into Combusken and caught a Taillow. (Nickname- Robin) Battled the gym leader (Roxanne) and won. Gave back the Devon Goods and battled May shortly after. Headed to Dewford Town. Delivered the Letter to Steven and battled the Dewford gym leader (Brawly) and won. Headed to Slateport. Bought some Soda Pops. Delivered the goods to Stern. Battled May again and won. Taillow evolved after the battle. Caught an Electrike. (Nickname- Watts) Trained up all Pokémon. Battled Wattson and won. Saved in Mauville.

• Training Dog, KO'd by unexpected critical hit (level 4). Bye-bye Dog!
• Catch Wurmple in Petalburg Forest (Winston)
• Grinding forever, Winston evolves two stages to Beautifly, Finn reaches level 15.
• Take on Roxanne
• Send out Winston against second Geodude, OHKO'd by Rock Tomb. Bye-Bye Winston! (I really had high hopes for him)
• Defeat Roxanne
• Catch Taillow on Route 116 (Muddy)
• Catch Whismur in Rusturf Tunnel (Jenny)
• Defeat Aqua Grunt
• Grinding forever, Muddy reaches level 16
• Sail to Dewford
• Capture Aron (Aimee)
• Deliver letter to Steven
• Defeat Brawly
• Sail to Slateport
• Fight trainers up the beach
• Catch Minun on Route 110 (Stella)
• Evict Team Aqua from Museum, deliver Devon Goods.
• Grind Poochyena until level 18, it evolves into Mightyena
• Go north, find and defeat May
• Defeat Wally in Mauville with one Bite attack, send the wimp home.
• Defeat trainers surrounding Mauville and in Wattson's gym
• Taillow levels up to 22, evolves into Swellow
• Defeat Wattson

The battle with Brawly was a close one. Took out his Machop and Meditite no worries, but Makuhita almost killed Muddy.

Spoiler:

• Muddy used Wing Attack, Makuhita survived in the red
• Makuhita used Bulk Up
• Mukuhita healed with Sitrus Berry, back into the Green
• Muddy used Wing Attack, Makuhita survived with just a slither of health
• Makuhita used Vital Throw, Muddy went all the way down to 1HP
• Muddy healed with Oran Berry
• Muddy used Wing Attack, Makuhita fainted!

Though I managed to defeat Wattson, mostly due to the efforts of my Marshtomp Finn, in the process I lost Aimee, my Aron. RIP girl, you'll be chewing on the gates of heaven now ;;

So I picked Oshawott and named him Aloysius. He's a fighter. Dispatched Cheren and Bianca having a bit of a scare from Cheren, then moved onto route 1. That's where I met Vice, the Lillipup. After much grinding and a few visits to Mom, we were all at level 10 and having a great time. We listened to Ghetsis then N got pounded by Aloysius. I ventured onto Route 2. I aquired Vace, another Lillipup. ;___;. BOX. Grinded in route 2, level 12's. I went to the dreamyard and got Pansear. The NUzlocke is hard enough without taking bonuses and the original guy took it. Welcome to the team, MediumRare! I beat Cheren easily then went to the gym. I beat the first trainer with MediumRare, despite being lower levelled, however the 2nd trainer got me down to 4HP. Luckily Aloysius saved the day :D.

All the gym trainers dispatched, we walked up to Cilan. I knew that if I was to succeed, I'd probably have to sacrifice Vace to do some healing to other team members. I wish I had bonded with Vace more, so I'd feel more guilty about it. The battle began. I led with Vice. He led with his wimpy Lillipup. A leer and 2 tackles later, he was gone. Next was his Pansage. I trusted MediumRare, even though he was 3 levels below Pansage. It was a close battle, Cilan using a potion while MediumRare scoffed his Oran berry. What makes me laugh is that if he had used stratch, I probably would have lost, but he persisted with Vine Whip. Noob. The trio badge was mine, without any casualties. Vace, the untrained lv8 Lillipup lived to fight another day.

Dudy's Nuzlocke Challenge
Part 1

Note: I decided to change the game i will do the challenge on. It will be Fire Red now.

Name: DPF89
Starter: IV-Drip (Squirtle)
Rival: Lavir

So the starter i choose was squirtle who i named IV-Drip. After getting the pokedex and all that, i ran into a pidgey and caught it. I named it Flocka.
Next, i went to test my luck in the indigo Plato route. I found a manky on my first try! I caught it and named it LadyChimp. Now off to Viridian Forest. I battle so bug catchers and sadly lose Mankey and Pidgey. First Pokemon encountered here is a weedle. I name it Buzzin. I make it out of the forest, heal, and take on the gym. I beat the trainer and Brock without losing IV-Drip or Buzzin. Both evolve at the end of the fight. Now i have the Boulder badge! Next time- Mt. Moon here i come!

but i have a question for everyone.... So i've beaten the champion. I only have 40 in my pokedex; how am i supposed to get up to 60 to keep going? am i allowed to catch pokemon (and put those in a box so i wont use them) until i get to 60?

-Challenge the Sprout Tower.Capture Rattata (Zack). Beat the sages.
-Level the team up to level 16 and lucky to level 18
-Capture Hoppip (Cone) at the route 32
-Levelup to 16 too. About to face falkner hoping not to lose anyone :D

So ive started a nuzlocke on the amazingly difficult and awesome hack Pokemon Blaze Black. But im doing it with random encounter code on which makes it all the more interesting. RNG'd a Zebstrika as my starter. Beat the family issues triad in the first gym fairly easily with Fire Monkey. And now training in the route beside the gym city. Heres the team so far:-

Alright then, starting. i'll be on Pearl.

reading some of the nuzlocke stories has motivated to do my own and ive decided emerald as I haven't played it in ages, started with these rules

1. Pokémon faints – permanently boxed.

2. Only the first Pokémon encountered on each area(route, cave etc.) may be caught ONCE poke balls are obtained.

3. Potions and status healing items cannot bebought only found.

4. Nicknames to each Pokémon (mythology theme).

5. All Pokémon faint = game over.

6. Legendaries can be caught but not used inbattle.

7. If I need a hm to advance and no pokemon areable to learn it I can continue to enter different as a second encounterprovided I permanently box my highest level pokemon and my starter, if mystarter is my highest leveled pokemon my second highest will also beperma-boxed.
