Hey Necrum, I think you should put some clarification in the OP regarding the use of legendaries. I find that legendaries are very much present in this kind of challenge so they really should have a mention in the OP.

But the old thread went a really long time without an update, and I copied the Champion list straight out of the old thread. I plan on going through all the posts since the last update in the old thread and figuring out who else completed. Sorry to crush your dreams of being the first. :(

CHAPTER 2

Beat everyone at the Preschool and Cheren, then went to Wellspring Cave and beat the Plasmas there with Cheren's help. Got the Heal Balls from the girl. Got to Nacrene City and after exploring Outer Pinwheel Forest a bit, beat N in front of the Museum. Proceeded to beat Gym Leader Lenora and earn the Basic Badge!

Team Plasma appeared and stole a Dragon Skull. Made my way through Inner Pinwheel Forest, much thanks to Clarisse, my Dratini, and her newly learned Dragon Rage. Recovered the Dragon Skull, met Gorm, and proceeded onto the Sky Arrow Bridge.

After landing in Castelia City, did all the Team Plasma stuff. Beat the Battle Company. Went to the Gym, where Evelyn became the first of my Pokemon to evolve, and became a Kirlia.

EDIT: Oh and vaporeon7, you can have Ditto, Ursaring, Donphan, Forretress, and Golduck.

I've been playing nonstop for the last hour, so here's what I've done:

CHAPTER 3

Beat Burgh - Leavanny was a bit of challenge due to widespread weakness to Grass throughout my team. Got the Insect Badge.

Went on Route 4. Beat Cheren and Bianca. Got to Nimbasa City, where Juniper gave me some Ultra Balls, I beat 2 Plasma Grunts, and I got a Bicycle. Rode the Ferris Wheel with N, where I learned that he's the King of Team Plasma! Beat him in a battle and then went into the Gym. Beat Elesa and got the Volt Badge. That was easy because I have 2 Ground types.

Bianca took me to the Musical. Witnessed a touching scene between Bianca and her dad before leaving for Route 5. Beat Cheren. Met Alder, who made me battle a couple of preschoolers alongside Cheren. Piece of cake. Got Elesa to lower the Driftveil Drawbridge and proceeded into Driftveil City.

Here's what I did today.

CHAPTER 4

Where did I leave off? Uh... Driftveil Drawbridge. Right. So, beat a couple Duckletts. Met Clay. Went through Cold Storage. Met Zinzolin. Beat Clay and got the Quake Badge.

Beat Bianca, after which Rufus evolved into Pupitar. On Route 6, Clarisse evolved into Dragonair and a lot of Deerlings fainted. Got to Chargestone Cave. Met the Shadow Triad. Got the Lucky Egg from Juniper. Got through the Cave, during which time Evelyn evolved into Gardevoir (one of my favorite Pokemon of all time!!!) and Darrell evolved into Excadrill. Beat N.

Got to Mistralton City. Met Cedric and Skyla. Skyla refused to battle me and told me to come to Celestial Tower to help a sick Pokemon. On Route 7, had my first Rotation Battle. Larry evolved into Sealeo. Got to Celestial Tower.

I've been noticing a lot of people not really following the parameters when giving teams. Please pay attention when giving teams so everyone can be happy with what they get, and no bad feelings will be had.

Have fun! I'll be starting my challenge tonight now that I managed to secure a Surfing Pikachu. You heard me right. A surfing Pikachu, like from the Pokewalker. I always wanted to use one, but most challenges don't really allow me to do something like that because of hacking and trading rules. But with this challenge I can! Yay!

As for me, I tried to get an update last night but the servers were overcrowded, so here's what I've done over the last 2 days:

CHAPTER 5 (I think)

Got through Celestial Tower. Returned to Mistralton and beat Skyla, winning the Jet Badge. Got to Twist Mountain, and beat Cheren, after which my Croagunk evolved into Toxicroak. Got through Twist Mountain to Icirrus City. Beat Brycen and got the Freeze Badge. Went to Dragonspiral Tower.

Beat all the Plasmas and got to the top of the tower. Met Zekrom. Caught a Tranquill in the grass outside the tower, taught it Fly, and used it to fly to Nimbasa City (Dragonair ain't evolving till Lv. 55). Boxed it right away.

Went to Relic Castle and got through it, beating all the Team Plasmas. Used my Tranquill to fly to Nacrene, where I got the Light Stone. Flew back to Icirrus and re-boxed my Tranquill. Headed out east. Beat Bianca, after which Sealeo evolved into Walrein. Crossed Tubeline Bridge, where I learned that Ghetsis's intentions were never benevolent, and he just wants the power of Pokemon to himself.

Reached Opelucid, where I learned about the two Dragon Pokemon from Drayden and Iris. Got through the Gym and beat Drayden easily with Walrein, earning the Legend Badge.

Got the Master Ball from Juniper and headed out on Route 10. Beat Cheren. Got to the Badge Check Gates and passed them. Got through Victory Road (a long, gruelling process because I kept getting lost (-_-) ). Reached the Pokemon League and beat Shauntal, Grimsley and Caitlin. Lost, however, to Marshal.

Re-tried the Pokemon League and beat the Elite Four this time. Witnessed N's defeat of Champion Alder, and the rise of N's Castle. Entered the Castle and began preparing for my final face-off with N.

EDIT: Caught Reshiram, beat N and Ghetsis, and watched the credits roll, therefore making me Champion of The One That Got Away Challenge on Pokemon Black Version! I would upload a picture but I have no clue how... here's my team anyways:

First update! I went through the usual start game nonsense, and managed to trade in all my Pokemon. What I forgot to do, was grab some evo items before resetting my HG, so I went ahead and hacked them in. I'm not evolving just yet, since I both think that's an unfair advantage, and want some moves for the stone evos first. I cleared out Sprout tower easily until Oddish, the only Pokemon on my team that was low enough to obey me, reached lvl 10 and started being a jerk to me. I beat Falkner with Pikachu, easy easy, easy.

You don't have to have your whole team from the beginning. Some people just like to trade the whole thing in from the start. Some people like to add one member per gym. It's up to you really, which is why I made the rule that you can use any means to obtain your team. But you should try to at least have your first pokemon as soon as humanly possible. But over all I intended this to be a really laid back experience, so don't worry yourself too much over the little details of the challenge.
